Our server, Chris, was awesome. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. His great attitude really made the experience even better. My first visit here, I was quite impressed by the food and the service. I craved the Prime New York Tagliata for months and months. I finally visited for the second time yesterday. I just love the casual but classy vibe here. You better believe I ordered my steak! Alas, a snafu. I ordered medium rare, and received a steak completely well done. Like dry dry. However, the server continuously checked on us so it gave me every opportunity to let him know that the steak wasn't to my liking. He immediately noticed it when he sensed hesitation in my voice after he asked if things were going well. He apologized and immediately got to work into replacing it, even offering for us to keep snacking on the one we received while waiting for the new dish. (I couldn't do it though, it was beef jerky, lol) As soon as I received the replacement, wow - this is the steak I remembered from my first visit. Just delicious, beautifully medium rare. The manager (?) or someone, came to our table again, very apologetic and asked how the new dish was. She didn't make us feel guilty, and assumed all fault asap. Made me feel heard. The other dish we ordered, Spicy Rigatoni Vodka, was perfectly cooked - my son scarfed it down within minutes. The caesar salad we split between the two of us, perfect starter and good portion. Perfectly tossed in a generous amount of dressing. Come dessert time, we ordered - I can't remember the name, was recommended by our server, but my son again - completely demolished it within a minute! We were also informed that our dessert was comped for the mistake that was made with the steak dish. This was my third time visiting North Italia, and I would come again 3 more times! The vibe in here at night is amazing. It is very low light which I personally like. Make it more intimate if you are going on a date. I had the Bolognese and my fiancé had the Chicken Pesto. I would give the Bolognese a 9/10 and the Pesto a 10/10. Bolognese is good if you want something that has a red sauce taste to it. We also had the Yellowtail Crudo for our appetizer which was probably the best thing we had all night! I was shocked at how good this was. Portion size was small, so if you can afford it I would get two of these dishes. We had the pistachio ice cream for dessert which was phenomenal as well. North Italia is one of my favorite places to order Door Dash because not only is the food delicious and hot when it arrives, the order is always correct, and they allow modifications (I order "no cheese") and they always accommodate. I really appreciate how nicely the food is packed and the flavors of the pasta, whether it's the spicy squid ink pasta or the distinctive slightly sweet and crispy batter of the calamari. The simple salad is a must try because the veggies are fresh, and they are blended together seamlessly with the pine nuts. You can select it tossed with the dressing and I tried a creamy Italian, and it was so good!! The simple salad is like a meal in itself. Still delish! This place is always consistent on their food! I love their bolognese pasta here! My wife has been raving to me about this place and she was right. I loved every bite. Restaurant is gorgeous, great decorations, great open layout. Charles was our server. He was friendly, kind and did a wonderful job. We started with white truffle garlic bread. We ordered from spring fixe menu. I started with charcuterie plate and my wife got Caesar salad. The charcuterie plate was a lot and tasty! I got the tie dye Margherita pizza and my wife got spicy vodka pasta. I barely ate 2 pieces of pizza and I couldn't eat anymore. From the start, the white truffle garlic bread was great. If you don't like cheese, don't get it. It's cheesy, garlicky and tasty imo. I honestly could have just ate white truffle garlic bread and charcuterie board. The pizza was very good. I was just full. My kids ate the 4 pieces of pizza after school and loved it. If you have room, the tiramisu was delicious. It was not overwhelmingly sweet. I tend to get overwhelmed with sweets but this tiramisu was great. This is our normal go-to, so when we were visiting Henderson, we had to stop in. That's where the normal ended! We saw a Cacio E Pepe pizza. That got my attention. I love this dish as a pasta, so why not split a pizza between me and wifey?! We added the bomba dip on the side. Marvelous! My suggestion for those that enjoy a traditional Pepe, is to ask the server to add more black pepper. This will give the pizza more kick. Very pricey for average food IMO as I like NY style Italian food. My daughter loves the pesto pasta here. They have some good dishes, but you don't really get much for your money. I am editing this to take away a star because for two weeks I'm waiting for a so-called manager named Ben who took my name and number and never got in contact with me so I called the location and the girl told me oh he transferred to another location so we will text him and see what he wanted to talk to you about and have our manager get back to you. Well it's been days and I'm still waiting so I guess I'll be waiting forever-that is not good Customer Service and I will not be going here as frequently anymore. I have been to North Italia a few times and I always leave satisfied. It's always full so I recommend making reservations or getting there early unless you don't mind waiting 5-15 minutes. I always order their spicy vodka rigatoni and it's amazing. It comes in a good portion size. My boyfriend and I asked the waiter to split the rigatoni since we weren't that hungry. Approximately 20 minutes after eating at North Italia restaurant, meal (ricotta cavatelli pasta with lump crab and shrimp), I developed immediate abdominal discomfort followed by severe bloating and painful cramping. [Note: I am NOT allergic to any of these ingredients in the dish I ordered, have no preexisting health conditions that could affect me or cause this particular reaction. No one in my family ate this dish - just me.] Since onset (now ~3 days), symptoms have persisted and include: * Extreme Abdominal bloating and distension * Intermittent intense cramping / "inflamed gut" sensation * Ongoing gastrointestinal severe discomfort, especially after eating * Occasional mild chills Defined as "acute gastrointestinal" symptoms that began suddenly on Friday night, and now is Tuesday night with only slight improvement. This impacted my personal and work life, and overall health. I did an Google AI search and not only was this same dish (but different state) mentioned for making someone sick with same symptoms, but the chain restaurant has had multiple reports and complaints about food-borne illnesses. Lastly, yes, every patron takes a risk of their own health by dining out, because the food itself can be fresh and problem-free, and solely in relation to HOW the food is handled, stored, maintained by its staff. read more

Italian cuisine is among my favorites, and whenever there's a new Italian restaurant that opens up, I would normally be jumping to try it out. Keyword being normally, which I will explain in a bit. North Italia is the new restaurant on the block at the District, located opposite the vegetarian-friendly Flower Child on the side of the District close to I-215. While I would be curious normally, I actually had previously gone to their Summerlin location on Charleston and Rampart -- I didn't care much for it, and it was so forgettable that I opted not to write a review for the restaurant. So I was convinced that this would be more of the same, and when my mother dragged me out here to try it, I was legitimately expecting disappointment. All I can say now is, what the hell were they doing up there in Summerlin? My experience here at North Italia is nothing like that disappointing outing all that time ago -- for one, the dining room is a lot cleaner and more open in comparison, with picture windows, a beautiful patio, and plenty of plants and open seating to make you feel more like you're in someone's house instead of a restaurant. Service here was great, too -- I'm always impressed by how quickly the food comes out even with how busy the restaurant can get sometimes. And the food? I've been there enough times now to have a handle on the menu, and personally, it's hard for me to pick and choose what I liked the most! Some of my personal recommendations on the menu include their burrata di staggione, beef carpaccio, shrimp scampi, their mussels, strozzapreti, New York tagliata, and the chicken scarpariello. (If anything, it'd be easier to list what I didn't like, lol...) Make sure to save room for dessert, too -- their tiramisu and seasonal butter cakes are always a treat! And if you're like me, who doesn't drink alcohol, their mocktails are great, as well! My personal recommendation would be the Just Peachy, but after sampling all of them, they're all really good -- it just depends on your preference. Honestly, I'm glad that my mother convinced me to give North Italia another chance -- it's become one of my favorite places to go for lunch and dinner in the District now. (The same cannot be said of the one in Summerlin, though we'll see if I ever get a chance to return to that area and try again.) If you love Italian food as much as I do, give this place a try! The water I didn't like. I had to order a pellegrino bc I truly think if you just order water, it's tap. Vegas has awful water. Our entrees started coming and my mocktail still hadn't come. I asked Justin and apparently they lost my ticket. A lot of places discount or offer some sort of courtesy when that happens, nope. The drink was delicious, I will give it that. But I'm not sure if it's $12.50 delicious. So the entrees. I was debating ordering the short ribs. After tasting them, I'm glad I didn't. They were meh at best. She ended up sending them back and ordering the scallops. Our friend had us try the bolognese. It was bright and tomatoey but nothing epic. Mine had big pieces of onion that should've been cooked more. I doctored up my leftovers and made it something more suited to my palate. The cool thing I did appreciate was that they let you choose a dessert for your birthday. I did the bombolini and our friend did the budino. I guess it was a different flavor the first time he went but we all enjoyed it. Probably more than mine. I was debating between the butter cake and definitely wish I'd chosen it. The scallops were just ok, she just didn't want to send anything else back. At home I added basil, truffle oil, garlic, cheese to my dish. Simple things that made it much better. One small plate/ app and entree for $25?!? That's insane value. I opted for the Chopped Caesar and Chicken Parm, and my friend got the Arancini and Shrimp Scampi. The portions were super generous and absolutely delicious. Service was great, too. I don't think I caught the name of our waitress, but she was working in the exterior/ patio area and was really sweet and attentive. Everyone loves NI and I've been to several locations. The food was outstanding and the service attentive for our party of six. Everyone raved about the garlic bread as a starter. They have a fantastic wine and cocktail selection. Had to give four stars because we along with five others waited 11 minutes to be seated. A large group standing at the door and no one greeting or offering to get the hostess is not a good feeling. "kills the buzz" as it were. And when the hostess arrived, she pulled two menus and I had to tell her the reservations was for six. Our bill was nearly $500 so the hostess should be polite, professional, and on the mark. We made a reservation and walked in around 6pm on a Sunday night. It was nice and busy inside but not too crazy. We were offered inside or outside but if we sat outside, it would only be high tops. We wanted inside and got a nice table with a view of the entire restaurant. It's beautiful inside here and there are a lot of things to look at, from the highly decorated bars to the murals on the walls. Our server was quick and attentive. We had an issue at the end of the meal regarding paying the check and a manager had to be called over. They were really nice and resolved the issue completely, even though it did take some time. I really appreciated everyone's patience. The cocktails we ordered were strong and delicious. However, this was the only service issue we had though. We were never offered another cocktail until too late in the meal. The food was pretty darn good. We absolutely loved the pizza and I cannot wait to come in and have it again. All of the pastas we ordered were really good. The tiramisu was good but not great, definitely would not order again. I would say that the pricing is a bit high but when you add in the ambiance and quality, I think it's worth it for a splurge. But definitely not the place I'd come to weekly or anything. read more

This place is gorgeous, airy and bright, with ample space and a big fabulous bar with seating indoor and outdoor on the patio. I met a girlfriend for lunch and we shared the bruschetta, crispy risotto balls, and the banana coffee cake. Every dish was a delight, but that bruschetta is next level! Our server was welcoming and knowledgeable, checked in on us regularly. Before we left, we stopped at the bar and Dina (brilliant bartender) made an exceptional espresso martini, highly recommend! We went here on a last minute decision, and we were not disappointed. The inside of the restaurant is very spacious, plus they have outside seating as well. It is a little loud for a quiet, romantic dinner. However, not over bearing for a casual night out. The service was superb. The waitress was knowledgeable and happy to offer recommendations. The servers were equally personable and helpful too. The food was excellent. The only downside on our side was the cold ricotta on the bread. However, that is just a preference of ours. The sauce on the pizza was delicate and delicious. The crust was similar to a Neapolitan pizza crust. Very tasty. This would be our 2nd time here as friends, I've been here with my family 2x, and it's my friends 2nd time at this location but 3rd time at North Italia-they've gone to the San Diego one...needless to say, we enjoy it. The atmosphere and ambiance is terrific, the food is delicious and the service is great! The focaccia bread is amazing, it's crispy on the outside and soft inside. I like to dip it in my pasta sauce too. The squid ink tonnarelli is quite unique, I just got it to try and I really enjoyed the sauce. The seafood wasn't rubbery or overcooked either. The first time we came here it was incredible, and every time after we've been hoping for that same experience and never get it. Today was the last straw and we will never be back. Facial hair in my water. Focaccia was HARD AS A ROCK! And had zero fresh herbs on it. The first time we had it, it was amazingggg. Soft airy fluffy. We've gone about 5 times since and it's never been the same. The salad I ordered was wrong, was supposed to have a vinaigrette dressing and came out with blue cheese. They were so busy I didn't even ask them to fix it I just didn't eat it. And to top it all off, the waistress asked us to be out by 8pm for a party coming in. It was 7pm. So we were in a complete rush. We will never be back. read more
