Dr. Robert Mc Cowan is the best doctor we've ever had. He's extremely kind, caring, compassionate, thoughtful, helpful, understanding, patient, thorough, pleasant, efficient, and an all-around nice guy who truly cares about people. It's so refreshing to be lucky enough to be able to have a doctor this amazing and wonderful! We have been seeing him for about 5 and a half years and we hope we can see him always. He's too notch, A++++, #1, the absolute best doctor we've ever had. He has superb bedside manner, excellent knowledge and he treats you like family. We are beyond thrilled about finding this one of a kind complete gem of a doctor.He's the doctor with a huge heart and we adore him. He's a jewel of a doctor, a true treasure. We always talk about how lucky we are to have found him and we cherish this magnificent doctor! Kaley is also excellent and we adore her too. She works with Dr. Mc Cowan and they are a marvelous and very hard working duo that go above and beyond to help their patients always. very disappointed. front desk was so rude and argumentative when I took my sick 4 year old in to see a doctor. There was no compassion or kindness. I could not wait to get my license and insurance cards back so I could take my child and sprint out of the building to go to another facility for care. Never again. read more

The office is very busy for the most part I stay here because of the Doctor. Doctor berry, dr o and doctor Plummer are great the MA's are good - their front office policies and staff are not o kind. Collecting payment prior to seeing the doctor? I'm not sure why they do this? And they are so snippy about it. But ultimately they are busy and again the docs know what they are doing. Doctor/owner allows nepotism to decide his front office staff. One of the front staff - Carolyn - is not competent at the job. Does not smile or talk friend to patients. Stays on the phone not talking, never greeting patients. Argues openly with other staff members. Extremely unprofessional. On the reverse, everytime I am there, the other front office staff, one in particular - Heather - always has a smiles, greets patients as they were family. She makes a visit with a doctor enjoyable. From the actions or inaction of Carolyn, I and other patients I have spoken with, will not return to this office until more staff like Heather is hired and nepotism does not dictate the owners hiring practice. read more

I give north macomb a one star review because zero star review is not a option, I'm currently sitting in the waiting room regretting even setting foot in this what they call a "doctors office". I was just charged $42.00 for a no show fee even after I had called and notified them 24 HOURS in advance that I was not able to leave work to make my appointment time. On top of the highway robbery the Just pulled on me, I had to eat a $162.00 medication refill fee because of negligence when a preauthorization was supposed to be sent to my insurance company for a approval. Beware they also make notes in your chart about your mood and how you act each time you visit them. From the display of carelessness that has been exhibited by the employees and doctors of this medical practice, I would much rather risk my money and heath going to see a voodoo doctor to get my medication. This place has been nothing but constant headaches the past two times I have visited, time to switch doctors offices this time! I give this place a shameful review read more

I had an appointment today at North Macomb Medical Associates with my aging parent. I cannot begin to say enough regarding the assistance, compassion and kindness received from the front desk. I usually do like this office and LOVE the doctors but, I just tried to call to see if I could make an appointment for Monday and although it was close to 5 o'clock and closing, it was NOT. I think the office staff leaves little to be desired when they blatantly ignore your call at 4:52 and let the recording pick up your call (repeatedly) telling you the office is closed and the hours are 8:30 to 5:00!! read more
