They have a lot of great facilities, weight room, cardio available just lots of stuff. They have this cool, gymnastics area. It's really fun to watch. The cool thing about it is there's a water park available and a swimming pool. The hot tub is really big. They had the cutest little recreational river. It's really small, but it's really relaxing. I saw they had a rock climbing wall as well, and it went pretty high. Amenities are pretty good. Locker room could be a bit cleaner, but it was cool that it was available and they had two different size lockers available as well. Bathrooms were pretty clean. Recommend if you're in the area and you need a gym. Or a fun time with the kids.

For most of my time living in Boulder, this meant taking her to North Boulder Park everyday. Having just moved to the Glenwood neighborhood, I am no longer in close enough proximity to go everyday. Luckily, I discovered Howard H. Park. With plenty of open space, beautiful foliage, and a section specifically for off leash dogs, I am glad to call this my new spot. There is also a children's playground, walking/jogging trail, and creek that runs around the outside of the park. Generally, the park is pretty empty, until about 5 pm or on the weekends - when you're sure to run into plenty of people and their furry friends. My favorite part is a small hill/bump which provides a great place to lay down, as well as spectacular vantage point for launching the disk for my dog.

My dog heard kids skateboarding in the park section and decided it was a good time to leave. 3/5 stars for the dog park, 4/5 for the actual park. The park was pretty big, clean, everyone had their own space and were doing activities and being surrounded by mountains isn't too bad either.

Despite all these recreation options, I could only find one porta-potty in the parking lot. No drinking fountains. I confirmed with a regular visitor that was it. It shares a parking lot with the Broomfield Depot Museum so maybe there are restrooms in there? But the Depot Museum is only open on Saturdays from 9-3 according to the website so that doesn't work. My point is come prepared. It's about a quarter mile walk to commercial so that's an option as well. The material under the play structure was all wood chips. Not my favorite but probably the most common material for playgrounds these days. Two toddler swings and one regular swing (I think one was broken). There was also a pretty fun spinning stool shaped like a leaf and one of the ladders going up to the monkey bars also spun. Lots of things to climb on. My toddler had fun. But the lack of restrooms and drinking fountains for such a large park makes me sad.

We found the park by accident, driving straight up through downtown Winter Park. Situated right in the heart of the shopping district, Hideaway is hidden from whom exactly? Bears in the woods? Posh skiiers in their $500,000 condos? It certainly isn't from the road, set back slightly from the crosswalk and sinking back deep. The play equipment is in great shape and nicely durable, not the sort of ancient metal slide that scalds little thighs and calves or the monkey bar prisons parents dread because we have no way to extricate our children without being accused of violating the Geneva Convention. Of course, we're violating it allowing our little one to be the prisoner of Metallialand. Plentiful benches and perches give adults a spot to watch the entertainment, and impromptu lunch from one of the many cafes nearby are very easily done. I enjoyed this little spot while we were here. It was tidy and open, though I did have to chase down my little one a few times to keep him from playing in traffic. Barring that hazard, it's a great spot the locals clearly get to enjoy.
