My problem and the reason for giving only three stars is due to her office staff. I have had so many problems with insurance authorization and the lack of the office following through. I have had to police every procedure to make sure the authorization was in place. At one point my authorization expired because my appointment was past 90 days. Unfortunately today I had to cancel 2 upcoming procedures because I can no longer deal with her office staff. It is disappointing to me as I love Dr. Kviekval. Anyone who is thinking about seeing Dr. Kviekval, be for warned. The office staff needs to be checked up on to make sure there doing there job.

I was at Elmhust hospital in Queens first and they did not want to operate on me because it was too much of a high risk surgery and they sent me home and hoped for the best. Dr Rochman performed surgery on me at St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage Long Island, NY, he operated on me three times to save my life and he never gave up on me, even when the hospital decided I should go to hospice, he still insisted I can be saved and he did save my life. Everybody at St. Joseph's who knew about my case will say that Dr. Rochman saved your life and he would not give up on you. They say Dr. Rockman did what other surgeons were scared of doing, he operated on me and even when the recovery was very difficult he knew he could save me and he did it. He operated on me a total of six times, he preformed a jejunostomy proximal, jejunostomy distance, illeonostomy and colostomy, I had four tubes attached to my abdominal are all at once , I was relaly very sick, one by one He closed the ostomies and the las one was the colostomy that took little over a year to be closed. I had burning pain in my legs caused by varicose veins. My primary doctor referred me to Dr…read more Phillip R. Totonelly, one of the finest medical doctors in the Hudson Valley, with over 30 years of experience. In my first visit to Dr. Totonelly an ultrasound was performed on both my legs which helped to identify damaged veins. I was then very well educated by Dr. Totonelly regarding the varicose vein treatment I was to receive to relieve my vascular problems. I was really happy when my Aetna insurance approved the surgery, called Endovenous Ablation. That surgery was done in the office under local anesthetic and no hospitalization was required. It took approximately 45 minutes per leg, which were surgically repaired with a one week interval between the two surgeries. In both instances I was able to walk without any problems the same day of the respective surgeries. Amazingly, within a couple of weeks after the surgeries I STOPPED FEELING burning and annoying pain in my legs. Dr. Totonelly further advised me about cosmetic Laser spider vein treatment and Sclerotherapy to both legs. I received 4 treatment sessions to address my numerous spider veins. The reception will say they will call you back but never do. I just don't think they care. They just keep postponing very important doctors visits, and thankfully they dropped my insurance so I don't have to go back. I already found a new place in Centereach that seems way better.
