They got me scheduled for an emergency appointment on the same day that I called. The girls that did my xrays and consultation before the dentist came in were so sweet and put me at ease. The waiting room was full, but patients there before me were getting called back very quickly. There was hardly a wait at all. When Dr. Stewart came in I was IMMEDIATELY put at ease. His chair side manner was so kind, and he was very thorough when explaining my treatment and did not rush me through the appointment (which is a HUGE plus!!) He answered all my questions, and never once did I feel rushed or scared. It was the first time in my life that I've experienced that level of care in a dentists office. If scheduling a regular appointment, there is a bit of a wait, but I don't even mind. My relationship started with him after an impacted wisdom tooth became decayed and he performed an emergency extraction. Since then he has done several fillings and remaining wisdom tooth extractions. He has always been very fair with his pricing and his experience shines through his cool, calm, collected, and non judgmental demeanor. His hygienist is also great--a very gentle, patient, and overall pleasant yet professional lady. All the staff is very warm, welcoming and polite. He recently did a very difficult emergency extraction procedure for my elderly father that was no walk in the park to say the least--but he took my dad on anyway and pulled it off like a magic trick. I seriously dread the day Dr. Martin retires as there's not many old-school straight-shooter types like him left. When I'm in his office it's like I'm part of their big family and I know that whatever happens they're going to take care of me. Price was really good compared to other dentists in the area. I had only one issue the entire time I went and it was about the orthodontic retainer... when I got my braces off I asked about getting a replacement retainer if I ever needed one and she said I would get ONE free but after that they're $250... which I remember because I was like eek, I guess I'll take really good care of them then! But about a year later my retainer broke in half and on my next visit I asked if I could get my "one" free replacement retainer and she said they don't replace them. At all! Not ever... but you also have to wear it for life, soooo :/. When I acted confused she said they don't keep your tooth impressions because "where would we store them"? And also she said they destroy them when they make the retainer... (you could have given one to me! ). So I had to go online real fast before my teeth moved and buy all the materials to make impressions, plaster tooth molds, a hot plastic molding machine and plastic to make my own retainer, so I guess if you get your braces off, contact me. I'll make you an impression of your teeth and a new retainer and you can keep the model for the next time lol. Jk. (The impression doesn't get destroyed though... not the one I made, the tooth model didn't either but I can see how it could happen...) Anyway, it was just bizarre that the story was 180 degrees different from one visit to the next. Even the $250 detail... only to find out they DON'T replace them ever!? ‍
