My past experiences here to now have shifted from a 0 to 5 stars.. I could not fix my original review, and had to make another account anyways due to losing my phone and being totally unable to sign back in... BUT! This place has seemed to fix itself in fixing others. I had negative experiences the past, but my last 2 visits herw were very caring, humbling, and compassionate. I am not even kidding you, I and others in the community have to drive about an hour away to another hospital for any kind of practical or literal service. When it was summertime here and over 100 °F at night time, I had to go here, only to find a small crowd of morbidly injured and more or less dying people waiting either outside, or in the room between the two sets of entrance doors, which had no AC or ventilation whatsoever, and was an ambient 10 or more degrees hotter than outside. Mind you I am talking about the emergency room entrance! They make you call in on a phone that they have in the entranceway. I waited with others for hours, the others had been there for hours before me. Finally decided to drive in (was fortunate enough to have had said ride and gas) to Omak, where people are promptly seen, and their emergency room is air conditioned and staffed. The only time I was admitted to this hospital they did absolutely nothing for me except made me wait till I could leave for a couple hours till I could submit a UA, and work THC subtly in my system, hey assumed that was my entire problem and made a big deal about it before letting me go with no treatment. The stories I hear from other locals is that they have and do literally let people die in the waiting area. I can testify that while waiting on that very non-busy night in the heat, that none of us saw a single staff member at all in the pristine empty hallways. My father and I don't even consider I a hospital, nor do many other townspeople here. Anytime we have an emergency, we gotta do the drive. read more

We took my brother in to emergency via ambulance on a Friday night. He was doubled over in pain, sweating profusely, and labored breathing. It had started in the morning, but by the time we called the ambulance, he was unable to stand. We arrived at the hospital around 9:00 PM and at two in the morning, after several tests, and no answers, we decided to go home. They told us we had to take my brother with us. He was not any better. They had given him so many drugs to sedate him. We would not have been able to move him. There was no improvement from the time we brought him in. At 2:30 in the morning, we received a call from the doctor stating there was nothing wrong with him. I went back the next morning and he had still not improved. The nurse, who was awesome, said something to me about him living with me. I said he does not live with me. He lives by himself. She said well he can't go home by himself. I told her that something was wrong with him. She called the doctor in. The doctor walked in the room, looked at me and said "what?" I told her that there was something terribly wrong with my brother. She looked at me and said." there's nothing wrong with your brother get him out of the hospital. What do you expect me to do?" I took my brother home and he died 14 days later. He never improved. If this was the first time this happened at this hospital then maybe you just blow it off as a mistake.
