First, I wanted to go in person to discuss options. The rep I talked to refused that option and insisted we do it all by phone. She took lots of my time asking me questions to fill out forms and provide a quote for both homeowners and auto policies. The homeowners was a decent rate so I wanted to lock it in. Then she sent the form she'd filled out, and several items were wrong. She hadn't asked the question or she took my response incorrectly. As corrections were made, the rate increased each time. I ended up with a substantially higher rate than she'd quoted. Now that I'm a customer, I can log into their portal -- yay! But it's anemic -- my policies aren't even posted there, and I still have to do everything with both my homeowner and auto companies myself, at their websites directly. Their customer service is lousy in all aspects (email and phone -- I suggested they relabel their "from" email addresses so they aren't mistaken as spam and was argued with about the suggestion). They don't proactively offer assistance; I had to call several times to get access to the portal, and only then found out it's useless. I recommend finding another local insurance office.

I don't like banks. In fact, I've given up using banks. I have nothing but harsh words for 'too…read morebig to fail,' bailouts, fees, rules, and frozen impersonal robots who parrot what they've been told to say. I switched to a credit union some years ago, and will never go back to banks. I actually *enjoy* going to this place. I know the tellers and staf by name. WHen I walk in the door, they know me by name and have my account up without asking for a "number." From the beginning, they worked with me to build my credit: a small secured loan, a small credit card, a debit card, etc. Issues of name changes, marital status changes, address changes, were all handled smoothly and without a wrinkle. These people SMILE at their customers. I have seen them work through lunch when necessary (GASP! Food on the desk!) and I have seen customer walk in with their dogs (OH HORROR!). This is a laid-back, yet professional, human, well-operated financial institution. They have made my first ever experience with a Credit Union a sheer delight.

I can no longer pay my CC online due to switching companies within the credit union. Ok, so what are my options? I've contacted you several times online and received no response but you have no problem marking me late. So, a phone call to them gets a response of well, the only way to to send us a check and we will make the payment for you. WHAT?? I just went back in time and wouldn't know even where my checkbook is never mind a postage stamp. Get with the times CCFCU or you will be out of business. Your clientele is dying everyday and you are not setup to deal with the growing generations. Not too mention you are pretty rude on the phone when questioned about your antiquated policies.
