Dr Shemwell saved my 29 week babies life…read more I was going to Conway telling them I was in labor they kept sending me home. My water broke and they almost did not want to check me, Just looked on ultrasound and I have plenty of water. Then they did the vaginal swab. I refused to allow them to send me 2 hours to LSU. I was sent to St Francis and Dr Shemwell, was assigned. I was supposed to sit and wait with a broken water. but I told Drm Shemwell Something felt off and my breech baby was sliding down. She took me back and delivered me via C section. Yes sometimes you wait but You are not the only patient in the world. They have emergencies and make sure to schedule a few hours off for these appointments.

They leave people who need help…read moreto help themselves, which is cruel when the people can't walk 'fast enough' or can't walk at all. Don't try to follow the rules they set, because they will berate you for it. The doctor I had was thorough, but not timely. We're still waiting on corrective surgery, six months later. The doctors are never available for phone calls, and the nurses have no idea what to say or ask to you or the doctors. The X ray staff was at a total loss and very rough with us. We left in more pain than when we arrived. If you are in a real bind, the floors and sidewalk will hurt like a mother. They only accept specific insurances, and they won't even entertain a question about which ones they actually take. If you have a superficial problem and love paying money to wait and be treated like a burden, this is your place. Demanded $400 IMMEDIATELY after a four hour wait. We got a plastic splint from a plaster one. The check out woman would not listen to any information about our insurance.
