As a student who went here for 5+ years, this place is a joke. Teachers and staff will have their…read moreown favorite students and treat them better than others. For example, out-of-uniform days. There were specific rules as to what was allowed and what was not. Most "popular" students would not follow the rules, and also some regular students. I would only ever see those regular students in the office and never the popular students. That is not the only thing. A lot of the students are racist, mostly towards the Hispanic and Black students. You would occasionally hear the n-word or "beaner" in the hallways. In some classes teachers would favor specific students. Some teachers would talk often to these popular kids during class and would be helping them out more than other students. Sometimes, those students would convince teachers to change their groups so they would be with their friends, therefore making the original students feel bad. I will not write about everything that happened at Hill-Murray, so this will be the last one. A student was wrongfully ganged up on by four other students. This happened in Mr. Faust's class, where he was not in the classroom when he was supposed to be. According to the students who were in his class during that hour, he would normally not be in the room when students got back from lunch. (Classrooms are not to be left unattended with students in them without a teacher.) When I saw the video of this fight, the four had blocked off their entrance to leave, the student was spat on by one of the four students, and started to defend themselves from those students. Two out of four of those students were hitting that one student. It kept going for a while until a bystander student finally stopped them from touching that student, still no teacher in sight. As stated by bystander students, one out of four of said students was expelled, and the student who was beaten withdrew from Hill-Murray. Also, the student who was expelled had previously threatened the student and followed her way before the fight took place and had two suspensions. When I first came here, I expected so much considering how much people pay for their children to go here, and I was so excited to be a pioneer. When I graduated, I realized that place is not where I would EVER send my child. If you don't have a status, you do not matter to them. If you are a person of color, you will be called names and be stereotyped. Please, if you care and want your child to be safe and loved, don't make the same mistake my parents did and send them here.

I…read morevisited this center in April 2015 to start the process of enrolling my infant to start in January 2016. The staff assured me that a spot was available and I submitted my registration. I didn't think anymore about it thinking that everything was all set. However, this past week (November 17, 2015), approximately 6 months after I registered and a month and a half before I have to return to work, I received a call from the center stating they no longer have a spot for my son because they were cleaning out an office and found a registration that came in before mine. What!? I find it hard to believe that it took you 6 months to find a missing registration, so my hunch is that somebody friend or family member needed a spot and we got bumped, but I'll never know. If that wasn't bad enough, the director of the center didn't even have the courage to call me herself, she had some other poor soul call me and bear the brunt of my anger. Since my son didn't actually attend the center, I can't speak to the care he would have received, however, in my mind a center that disorganized or possibly lacking in integrity would make me question having my child there.
