Overall my experience with Jason and Scott is awesome!! Please use them for your AC needs, they will take exceptional care of you. I had Northern Air install a new AC unit for me a month ago. Everything is still working fantastically. Scott came out to look at my existing system and take notes, Jason sent me the quote. Both of them were extremely professional and nice and answered my 1000 questions without hesitation. They both knew their stuff. I had 3 companies offer me quotes and ultimately decided on Northern Air because their customer service was beyond the other 2 and quality of the equipment to price. They also offered a 0% financing option if I needed. So I scheduled the install. On the day of the install, two of them came out, Scott and his apprentice, again both very professional and knowledgeable. I was prepared for a whole day of workers in my house and no AC in the meantime, thankfully it was early May, not mid-July. They started around 8am and finished up around 3pm. They tested the system, there was one little tweak that needed done, they didn't leave until everything was working satisfactory. They cleaned up their work area entirely, wiped down all surface areas, cleaned the floor where they worked and kept their equipment. It's like they weren't even there. Before he left Jason answered any additional questions I had and showed me how to use the new Wifi T-Stat. Which, by the way, I highly recommend and has a rebate from APS. I will of course have them back for any maintenance needed and would recommend them for new equipment. I cannot comment on their repair skills because I did not utilize that, but I'm sure they know their stuff in that area as well. read more

A fan in our AC stopped working. Fortunately it was in warranty, but broke at a busy time. Northern came out the next afternoon, confirmed the issue, and quoted us an hour in labor to replace. We would need to wait another day to get the part, but they would pick it up on the way between jobs and replaced by 4pm the next day. We paid the service fee and the hour labor which initially came to $179. The repair took less than an hour just as the tech predicted and worked immediately. The technician (Paul) was great- very friendly and knowledgeable. The only downside is that we were charged an additional 3 hours labor ($330) for picking up the part and a warranty research fee ($79) the next day bringing our total to $580 for an hours work on an in warranty fix. This is even without a second service fee that was initially charged. I can't even imagine what the cost would be for a more involved or out of warranty repair. My family was very impressed with the service, but disappointed in the extensive additional charges. I had not encountered this the last time I used Northern. We realize that pricing is beyond the technicians control and would still recommend Paul wholeheartedly as a great technician. For four years after I moved into my house we had issues with it being way too hot in the summer. Every year I had the air conditioning serviced by an air conditioning company and no one ever told me that the previous owner of the house had removed the old motor from the air conditioning and put a smaller motor into it and didn't bother to seal around The new small motor properly. This was not only causing the house to be too hot, but every time it rained water would come in through the air-conditioning unit and overflow in the pan, which leaked through my ceiling. Northern air was the first company to look at my air conditioning and realize that it was responsible for the leak problem I was having with the ceiling. (I had had several roofers, contractors, and A/C guys out to look at the leak prior to this and no one else could identify the problem). As a result, I had northern air install an entirely new air conditioning unit and they stayed with the job to make sure that, not only was the A/C Installed correctly, but the roof was repaired correctly around the new system. They did a fantastic job. I trust them more than any other air-conditioning company I've ever worked with and I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I had a problem with my furnace and contacted this company thru email. Reply was timely and courteous and I give one star for that. The tech they sent, Paul, was personable, hard working and diagnosed the problem...a sticking gas valve. I give another star for that. However, when Paul called in for a price to repair, the figure I was quoted (I'm guessing from owner Jason Nedrow) was $675. Oh, and by the way, they'll replace a faulty light switch for $50. Well, I hired another local company to replace the gas valve for $415 and bought a light switch from Amazon for $3.64 and had it replaced myself in minutes. Price for a service call? $150. Their website advertises "Summer/WINTER Specials (Tune-Up)"- One complete system  - $79.00. I paid the $150 and learned an expensive lesson...get the price in advance in writing. I honestly don't know if they are always this overpriced or if they were trying to take advantage of a senior (I live in a Sun City). If you decide to hire this company for your needs, I'm sure you will get courteous and competant service. However, there are other good companies in the area who are just as competant at a fraction of the price. read more

At about 6:00 pm on Sunday, I noticed my air conditioning had quit cooling. I checked the outside unit and discovered it wasn't working. The temperature outside was 115+, so I looked on Yelp to find someone who serviced San Tan Valley, and found Northern Heating and Air. I called at 6:15 in the evening, and Jason said he would be here by 7:30. He arrived right on time, and was able to do the repair quickly, since it was just a capacitor. He was very nice and courteous, and even changed my return filter for me since I can't reach it very well. His rate was very reasonable. I like doing business with local businesses, and I highly recommend Northern Heating and Air to anyone in this area who has HVAC problems. I will definitely call them again. My AC went out last week in the middle of the night. I have 3 small children and a puppy, so believe me when I say I was panicked and stressed out when I spoke with Tiffany early in the morning. She was super professional and sent Mike (my service guy) out that same morning! He too was professional, knowledgeable, and very thorough while explaining everything to me. He fixed the problem in less than an hour and even called a few hours later to make sure everything was running smoothly. I cant say enough positive things about Northern Air. I felt they were an honest company and someone I could trust. I know for any future issues I am able to call early or late and they will be sure to take care of me. Northern Air Mechanical Services is a great company! My unit all of sudden stopped working properly when I noticed that the air was turning warm, and the temperature started to go up quickly. This is Arizona and this time of year it is over 100, people don't last long in that kind of heat, so air conditioning is vital! The people were all professional from the front office to the technician they fixed my unit in a timely manner, the technician was very friendly and professional he took his time to check the entire unit and explained to me everything he did. Thank You Jason. and his team. Both my daughters AC units went out April 5th. Fought with Choice Home Warranty the rip off company that declined what they warrantied. Called out 4 companies for bids. Jason was the most informative of them all. Reasonable. He knew under the Covid 19 how concerned I was of my 2 micro premmie twins that were in the house. I was called a day in advance to verify the date and the work was done well and on the exact price quoted.
