OEM took 3x as long as they said to make the blinds and send them to me, even with me calling every week. Then they got 40% of my order incorrect. They said they would issue refund after four weeks nothing, so I called again. This time I spoke with Kurt. Kurt started yelling at me from the beginning of our call, he was insulting and rude to an unbelievable level. At one point he said, "You can't teach stupid, you've got to go through me for a refund." in additional cuss words - emphasis added. Long story short I told Kurt I would forget about the refund, $100s of dollars, and figure out another solution than working with him and OEM. I implore you, do not give this company business. You will end up having to talk with Kurt and wish you went anywhere else. I plan on going directly to Pella to let them know about my experience as well because I have two homes full of Pella windows and being associated with OEM drastically devalues their brand.

We placed a call to Melvin the owner of the local company and made an appointment for him to come and talk to us about what Budget Blinds had to offer. He made an appointment and was very professional and informative. He showed us the blinds that he offered and the difference between the different levels of blinds. He measured all of the different windows in the house and calculated the price for the type of blinds that we had chosen. It took a few weeks for the order to be available for installation. His installers arrived and in short order completed the installation - All of the blinds fitted the windows perfectly. We have had numerous tradesmen work on our houses in the past, but these workers were as professional as any we have worked with. Our window presented a bit of an issue they never dealt with. Because of this, they said they would contact other distributors for input. They stated there was "an on-line training conference" the week before and asked for an extra week to investigate our issues. March 2 was the meeting. We expected a response on March 16, 2021. Today is April 13, 2021. Frustrated at no response, I reached out to the company and was told they do not make excuses, BUT... then proceeded with a litany of excuses (mostly personal in nature). Be that as it may, for a company that spent 25% of the March 2nd meeting touting their superior customer service, the facts speak louder than their words. If you cannot follow-up on a promise made over one month ago, I would never trust them with my issue let alone any money for product or services. If you can't solve a blind problem (even though that appears to be all you do) at least have the courage to tell your customer. Future customers beware. After posting this review, and be asked by myself to NOT keep texting me their apologies the company touting "their customer service" continued to badger me!! Finally, after a terse response from me with many (!!!! And ???) They again "reached out" with yet another unwelcome text to inform me they were blocking me!!!!? Maybe, you should LISTEN and respect your customers wishes. You made a bad situation terrible by badgering!

In January, I ordered vertical blinds for my two sets of patio doors. I chose a basic texture in white vinyl with a valance, cord, and chain. The total price was $1,333 even after a significant discount, so the price was not exactly "budget." Nonetheless, I decided to order the blinds, because my one set of patio doors is very wide and needed custom blinds that I could not possibly purchase "off the shelf." Within a few weeks, the blinds were manufactured and ready to be installed. The co-owner Jodi called me to schedule an appointment for the blinds to be installed. I told her about how I was supposed to have new patio doors installed by a different company weeks earlier, but the door factory had no raw materials to manufacture the doors, so I would end up installing the new blinds months before the new doors. Jodi understood the situation, and she said that her installer would show me how to uninstall and reinstall the blinds and that I would also have extra vanes in case I accidentally break them. In February, the installer Jim came to my house to install the blinds. He arrived on time, and he spent almost two hours installing the blinds. Jim made very pleasant conversation, and he did an excellent job with the installation. (He has been with the company for eight years, so he knows what he is doing.) Jim taught me how to uninstall and reinstall the vanes, and he gave me five extra vanes in case I need them in the future. Jim also cleaned up all of the cardboard and plastic from the packaging. My new blinds look good in my house, and the vanes, cords, and chains work well.

We have been wanting full house window blinds for so long and did our research on all of the local Companies. We chose budget blinds after seeing their reviews and options online. We were able to schedule a free in-home visit for an estimate within a week of our phone call, March 17th. Jake arrived promptly on the day of our scheduled visit and measured the ten (10) windows we have. He presented many options and samples, suggesting a color that matched perfectly. Our Home is all hardwood floors with white walls, so we went with his suggestion of "Chestnut" horizontal blinds for all rooms except our kitchen. There, our LVT flooring is a brighter color, so we chose "Mist" to keep with a cleaner look. Our estimate was prepared for us during the visit, and we accepted immediately because the price was well within our planned budget. Customer Service called 3 weeks later to say that our blinds were in, and the install date was scheduled for May 1st. Our installer, Germaine, was personable and arrived right on the scheduled time. The install was fast and the job was completed in about two hours. He offered up some ideas on curtains, valances but the blinds look so good that we will probably keep an open look and forego any curtains.
