She is nice, and she knows what she's doing, but I do not feel she has made my children priority. I have a few examples, one is she saw them for a well child while also being sick, I watched her walk out and go home for the day after our appointment. I don't feel my kids were given a fair appointment. Most recently I asked for an evaluation to be done on one of my kids and also asked for another child to be seen based on her Nero referring us back. I asked for both of these on the same day in May. I was contacted, given an appointment for my daughter, with only options on Thursday's, and told I would receive a separate call for my sons appointment. It's Aug 22nd and had no appointment for my son until complaining. Since though, I've received a letter that my doctor is retiring, she'll continue to see us through the end of the year (on a limited schedule - I'm adding the sarcastic remark), and my kids will be transitioned to other doctors based on gender. I just feel things could be handled better! My responsibility is that I could have followed up more, I will admit I had a part here too. Have I had billing issues, yes! I encourage everyone to review your EOBs! The person coding has no idea what happened in that room and is tasked with finding a way to get as many billable codes submitted as possible. Our responsibility is to review and bring up discrepancies. You may disagree, but this is where we are in the world! Northpoint is no different than most other facilities. Patient responsibility in managing our share is part of it. There have been great things happen with Northpoint and that is why I give them 3 stars. My son was seen by a male dr who got him into a great pulmonologist, who helped us solve so many undiagnosed issues! Both of my daughters ear issues, including multiple sets of tubes have been handled well. They room us fast, the MAs are always kind and I felt they addressed COVID well. The ability to have weekend appointments has been very helpful, I used this option more when my kids were younger. Northpoint is a larger practice and has the feel of the large practice without the technology. By that I mean, no ability to have full connection to Community My Chart and the options on their online portal is clunky. The proximity to Community Hospital and the fact the drs round at Community is a perk! Overall, we know that we will get the care we need at Northpoint, and that is what is most important.

I immediately decided he was who my son would see. Once my son was born, Dr. Nanagas came to check on him and ask a few questions. You can tell he is just naturally great with children-it's definitely his passion. Every encounter we have had with him makes it even more obvious as to how much he loves his work. He's so great with my son, always has great insight, and is just an all around breath of fresh air. I highly recommend this practice, and, if you can get Dr. Nanagas as your child's pediatrician, you'll have an all-around exceptional experience!

I'm not being dramatic, not once in eight months have I been able to get anyone on the phone. They advise to book within the portal. ANYTIME I submit a request, it's a delayed response. 8 days ago, I called, no answer. Sent a portal message explaining it was an urgent medical matter that I felt she needed seen for that day. The contacted me back today, 8 days later. I 10/10 do not recommend. If you prefer a more holistic approach with peds that don't push vaccinations, there are other much better offices than this.

She will never go out of her way to help you. She works like one day a week, so cross your fingers your child won't get sick on one of the other 6 days. We called her while we were on vacation (our daughter has had recurring UTI's) with symptoms and asked that she call in the antibiotics...she refused and instead we spent 2 hrs driving to the nearest medical facility.

It was a frustrating answer, since the inability to lose weight was part of the problem. My husband's coworker recommended Amy Nicley, NP, at Excell for Life, since they work on your health through dietary changes and supplements, so I made an appointment. Blood tests galore revealed major inflammation and an autioimmune issue, as well as a problem with my pancreas that prevents me from processing carbs (hence the rapid weight gain!). I never would have known that! While we're continuing to figure out my body's autoimmune issue, I'm already feeling so much better with the dietary changes and supplements we've implemented. I was having heartburn all day, every day, headaches every day---that's all gone! I have far more energy, too. And Amy won't stop looking for answers until my whole system is happy again---no shrugs and, "Let's wait it out," or, "I don't know what to tell you." She's excited to figure this out, like a detective with a thrilling case. I absolutely love that about her! The supplements are a bit pricey, but some are rather exotic compared to what I've taken before (the grocery store variety, you know), so I don't know if they'd be cheaper elsewhere. And there is a $97 out-of-pocket functional medicine fee for each visit (on top of what they bill insurance, I believe), which is a little different. But it's been worth every penny! My husband located this urgent care center that was actually open until 9pm and was near 86th and Michigan Rd. We ran over. It is a small place on the north side of 86th St. Very clean and accommodating. Dr. Khan was patient and very thorough. He told us exactly what we had (strep) and why we had it. He explained what medication he was prescribing and why. He told us where to go to fill the prescription and said that if we were going to go directly to the pharmacy he would wait (past his 9pm closing time) to make sure that the pharmacy didn't need to call him because of the narcotics prescription (Tylenol with codeine). He said they would bill our insurance and on our way we went. He was maybe the best urgent care doc either of us has ever seen. Dr. Khan told us that he used to work at the urgent care in Nora but he left and opened up this place on his own. Looks like he has a second location on W. 10th St. as well. We would highly recommend this clinic.

Physician was excellent. Very thorough and detailed at explaining everything that was going on. You could tell he is not a "cookie cutter" or "cookbook doctor" where I feel they don't think analytically but look up a typical cookbook recipe to fix the problems. You can tell the Doctor has extensive experience and his approach is individualized. My daughter who really liked the doctor and was very happy being there. Rare for a child to like doctors office. I am so grateful that they would help us even though they were closed, lights off. Grateful for Physician for his prescribed plan of treatment. Thinking about switching my personal physician to him.

When my insurance changed, she became my doctor, as well. Dr. Simmons is respectful, taking the time to really listen. She has a calm and peaceful demeanor. She is in contact with them and is up to date on my overall health and care. Booking and communication is easier than ever now with the online portal. I'm not happy that she had to sell her practice, but it is almost impossible for a doctor to be independent now days, and completely understand the reasoning behind it. She's done great with all the changes and I know will continue to do so. I feel very confident in referring her to family and friends! Thank you!
