    Cirque de soleil final curtain

Attended cirque du soleil show in December 2023 here! Purchasing tickets was very easy and tickets could be printed or showed digitally at the doors. Parking was very difficult and backed up the closer you got to the theater. They even started the show about 10 minutes late because there were so many people late. Staff was friendly and eager to help you find you seats. I didn't purchase food or drink but did see that they had a small concession stand for purchase. Sets, lights, sounds were all epic and I'm assuming could be easily customizable for any performance

This venue really pleases my eyes. I've prob taken just as many photos of the interior architecture (chandeliers, pillars, etc) as the actual headlining performers. Beautiful stuff! I think it was remodeled in the last year or so? I've been here both for a concert (Go96.3's Snow Show) and a lovely dance program (Hubbard Street Dance Chicago). There are a few floors and stages. The Best Buy stage is more intimate and hosts special features like pre-shows and Q&A's. The main stage is large with tiered seating and balconies. I like that the ushers are super attentive and friendly here. They've not only directed me to my seat but led me there. Not sure if they do that all the time or if I just looked like a lost pathetic seal pup. The times I've been here, there have been a few Surdyk stations open - which include a bar (select liquor, wine, and beer) and snacks. There is also a built-in cafe where you can get other eats like sandwiches and soup, when available. It's kinda pricey but that's to be expected. And you cannot bring the food and drink into the theatre, which makes sense as I imagine myself slipping on salami. Important note: check the parking situation online before you go. Sometimes some nearby ramps are reserved or require pre-paying.

I took this post down as a part of a deal that was struck so if anyone was wondering why it was…read moretaken down and re posted. The deal did not work out as I thought so this is a review from last November. ‐------------- It was a rough night we purchased tickets for the event in saint paul at the double tree and we decided into turning it into an evening. We booked a room at the double tree hotel where the event was and upon arrival we were told they were overbooked and had no rooms available. There will be another bad review coming soon for that catastrophe. But sat Nov 5th we had 2 tickets for one of thier events and after the hotel catastrophe we were like its all good we will enjoy the show then get another non hilton hotel. We wait in line with our tickets in hand that we purchased on eventbrite and we go to check in they could not find record of us. Talk about bad luck we showed them the tickets and after 10 minutes of interrogation like we were thieves trying to sneak into their show they told us they can setup a small table basically isolating us like the black sheep of the event. We were then told there was no food available because it was all pre ordered but we can watch the shoe and basically watch others eat from a far like if we were in the Christmas Caroll movie. After a while they were like we can get you guys a chicken meal. They must of called the chefs to see what scraps were available to throw something together for us. We requested a manager and well none were magically available. We asked for a refund and well because it's via eventbrite we need to request it from there. Well on eventbrite because it specifies there are no refunds now we have to fill out some sort of form and hope that the message was relayed from management to eventbrite to refund us. It was a very uneventful evening and this will cause lots of back and forth and phone calls to resolve this issue even though we were told it be simple. I doubt that this was even brought up to management and we were told anything just to get us to leave. Lesson learned ..stay away from shady hokey establishments that sell snake oil.

Majority of the seats have a warning on their website that the legroom is nonexistent. There are some blind spots to be aware of, and the box seating definitely misses much of the side stage. We used A View From My Seat to see what each seat is like before we booked seats for Cursed Child, and am so glad we did. It was like sorting through a landmine trying to find a seat that had decent views in our price point and getting an aisle spot to the legroom didn't affect us as much. Definitely do your research before picking a seat here!

When you walk in you are immersed in historical beauty from the stunning chandelier to the detailed woodwork. We are so fortunate that we have the privilege to have such a preserved historical theater. Now mind you it is historical, so the seats can be a bit tight if you are working with winter jackets and football sized men. The bathrooms are certainly a bit of a game here if you are here for a show that has a intermission. The security line at the front door can be a bit challenging on a cold winter day, but there are additional entrances through the skyway and side entrance. The lobby has many bars that are very quick every time we go. If you do pay on a card, they automatically add a 18% tip.

Incredible Art Deco interior that will occupy your mind while you are waiting in quiet desperation for the act you came to see. Beer, wine and a limited bar offers the patrons something to enjoy your event with. The audio is generally pretty good, depending on where you sit. The same goes for event viewing - no obstructive view in the theater.

The seats are extremely tight, not much leg room and a bit uncomfortable after a while. I feel like the guides weren't very helpful at getting people to their seats. I I'm still not sure where they label the sections, I had to ask several people and that made some other people realize they were in the wrong seats/section. The lobby opens 1 hr before the show but the doors to be seated don't open until 30 min prior. I suggest getting there 15-20 min before the show starts for smoother entry. You will still have time to grab a drink and find your seats without the hassle of the pre show crowd. It was so chaotic. The drinks are spendy for what you get but they don't take tips so I guess it somewhat evens out. You can request a lid for your drink which for me is a must in these crowded spaces. Not my fav theatre but the if there's a play I'd like to see, I'd go here!
