Then when you…read moreare taken to a room with a nurse who takes your vitals and maybe a blood draw, you might be sitting there for a hour waiting for the doctor to come in. The excuse is always, "Busy busy day today, slightly behind" but no apologies. And now I'm feeling like my concerns aren't being met.

Do not expect to feel taken care of at this primary care. Let me start off by saying Dr. Wakefield…read moreis an incredible doctor- the problem doesn't involve him at all. His staff could not be more unprofessional. I have been going to this office for over a year and two months ago I started having really unusual neurological symptoms that arose from an area in my spine. Dr. Wakefield ordered several MRI's for me, including for the brain and the spine. When my MRI came back for the spine, something was detected and I was told I needed to get another MRI with contrast to rule out a lesion or tumor. Over these few weeks my symptoms have progressed to where it is affecting my ability to walk and even ended with me having to go to the ER because I lost feeling in the left side of my body. As I await this next MRI, my husband and I kept getting calls from insurance telling us that they needed the doctors notes and previous MRI test results to go ahead and approve the MRI with contrast and that they had had trouble getting ahold of anyone from my doctors office about it. Because of this, I have politely tried to explain this to a few members of staff. Never once have I been rude or raised my voice-- that is not the type of person I am and that's not in my nature. I got a phone call today from the office manager Janet who was beyond dismissive of me and made allegations that I was "harassing" her staff all because I called a few times requesting the information to be sent to my insurance company for them to proceed with my MRI. I am so incredibly discouraged with my treatment at this office. I have been nothing but kind and respectful to the nurses I hear speaking about other staff members and patients right out in the open, which is incredibly unprofessional in my opinion, and it is beyond incomprehensible for the manager to not take my issues seriously- she told me they cannot "drop everything for me," which is not something I have ever expected or requested of them. I just simply wanted insurance as well as my doctor's office to work together and submit what they need to in order for me to get proper health care. It seems like that is too much to ask for from the staff here at Norwood. I have also requested numerous times for a phone call with any of my test results, and the nurse refuses to do so even after being asked by Dr. Wakefield. I do not always have access to the portal so a phone call in the midst of the scary symptoms I have experienced to let me know where my health stands should not be a tall order. I feel like I am being pushed out of this office, which is incredibly confusing as I have never been a problem or cause for concern, and I have been nothing but respectful to the staff when I have been experiencing very poor health care. Threatening to discharge a patient over them POLITELY requesting that paperwork be sorted with insurance is a very bizarre move and really had me taken aback. People that behave this way should not be a part of the medical field or deal with people struggling with health issues. Looking at reviews on here, it doesn't seem like I am the only one and this is a recurring issue. Sadly I will be seeking a new doctor. I hope that the staff at this office is retrained to learn how to speak to concerned patients, but something tells me that won't happen.

They say they no a no tolerance for stealing but yet they do nothing about it, even when there is proof. There are people who are known current theifs and improperly take their meds to get high, steal money that is to be used for clients food and spend it on themselves, and meet strange men met on the internet to make a side buck to be their House managers. When clients have come to the owners about these issues NOTHING is done. This puts clients mental health at risk but they don't seem to care. If they don't have anyone to cover these positions they just let the problem ones keep their job with no repercussions. The tech Jerome and Mary who does sound bath are the only trustable and reliable employees there. Corey is the owner and is afraid of confrontation so he would rather not confront the issues instead of improve his business. I have personally seen items get stolen from my friend and the person who did it got a job as a House Manager. I actually wanted and needed to be there but that didn't matter to them but it is by Gods grace I am no longer there. BYW my name is Holly Dalton recent client. Not afraid to tell the truth.

Five stars isn't enough for what this place has given me…read more Pasedena didn't just help me "get through" something. it gave me a space where I could finally come back to myself. After everything I went through last year, and this, especially living with a traumatic brain injury and feeling like I almost lost who I was, I think I did. being here has been deeply healing in a way I didn't think was possible. For the first time in a long time, years, over decades, esp finding new meaning with TBI, I feel like me again. This place is not just supportive it's creative!!!! open, and truly nurturing. As an artist and writer, that meant everything to me. I've been working on my personal project, The Hollow That Holds Me, while staying here, not only was I allowed to continue creating they genuinely supported it. That kind of environment and support is rare. They understand that healing isn't "one-size-fits-all." Sometimes it looks like art, expression, storytelling... and they made space for that. My room feels like a safe haven. (and if your paired with a roomie, it's a good fit.) roomie is amazing and a friend, and I've met friends outside of here too, real ones. Understanding. Quiet, comforting, and grounding. Are words to describe. A place where I could breathe, think, and create. A place where I didn't feel like I had to hide any part of myself. ANY! Even my kooky creative side. What stands out the most is this I felt like I belonged here. A outcast feelings like they BELONG. Not judged. Not misunderstood. Just... held, in the way I needed. "The hollow that holds me" When I do leave, I'm not leaving not just "better," but fuller. Stronger. More connected to who I am as a person and as an artist. If you're someone who needs real healing not just structure, but soul I cannot recommend Pasedena enough. This place helped give me my life back. Alexia is my personal therapist and she has done wonders for me, I would like to rate her 10000 stars. She is an ELITE therapist and caring. Buffy, as well, is amazing, caring, always there for ANYONE, and always open and welcoming with open arms. She makes therapy feel lighter and easy for us and mindful. We all wrote mindful positive quotes on our driveway to our cabin with buffy and I swear some of those will stay with me forever and being outside with buffy, talking, and candy? What more can you ask for. A girlfriend! A buddy, a professional therapist, and caring, COOL, lady. This time around, I got real healing done working very close with Alexia, Buffy, and Barry. I want to add Maddison is an exceptional member of Pasedena Villa, and Brenda the CEO cares about ALL her clients and the system and she's on IT with ANY issues. Brenda is amazing, and all of Pasedena. I truly strive to work here once I'm healed. More than 5 stars.

I didn't even finish the intake/admission process. They infantilize and criminalize you for asking…read morefor help, and then won't make reasonable accommodation for disability or the fact life still goes on while you're there, citing that they don't have enough staff. If they were that dismissive of me and my concerns over the phone, I can not imagine how little they care when you're entirely under their control, cut off from your support system and unable to ask for help. And then recommend "we have a facility in Michigan that might be able to accommodate!" as if getting from the deep south to Michigan is an easy jaunt. Do not recommend. I wear a medical device, that I have to wear 24/7, and I was never able to even get a clear answer on if they'd allow me to keep it. Also, in the initial phone call when discussing finances, they went straight into the "its 39k for a month" spiel and I had to ask/offer my insurance information.
