Not only is this unsafe, it's not even legal to drive children unbuckled -- North Carolina law requires kids to be properly restrained any time a vehicle is moving, no matter the distance. Parents should be treated with respect and supported, not talked down to for ensuring their children's safety.

Communication between staff and students is often poor, and concerns don't feel taken seriously. Another major issue is how disciplinary situations are handled -- students are sometimes written up or punished before staff fully understand what happened or hear every side of the story. It often feels like assumptions are made too quickly instead of handling situations fairly. The environment can feel more discouraging than motivating, which makes it difficult to have a positive learning experience. I hope the administration takes student feedback more seriously and works toward improving the quality of teaching, support, and fairness. The bullying also needs taken care of.
