Despite contacting various centralized scheduling representatives since yesterday, I didn't receive a confirmation text for my MRI appointment at North Dekalb. On July 16, I called to confirm and found out the appointment was canceled system-wide. I scheduled my appointment well in advance, had my medical records faxed to the office, and provided my insurance information before my visit. Despite completing everything they requested ahead of time, no one contacted me to confirm that my insurance had been verified or to let me know there were any issues. After driving an hour to the office, I was informed that I could not be seen because my insurance was not accepted. This could have been communicated before my appointment, saving me a significant amount of time and travel. What made the experience even more disappointing was the attitude of the front desk staff. They were dismissive and unprofessional, showing very little empathy for the inconvenience. Rather than offering assistance or referring me to another provider who accepted my insurance, I was simply turned away. A simple phone call before my appointment and a willingness to help would have made all the difference. Instead, I was left feeling that my time and effort were completely disregarded. I hope this office improves its communication and customer service so future patients do not have the same experience. read more

My cardiologist had me in Northside Hospital Tuesday morning for an outpatient procedure. Routine if you're the cardiologist, but anything but routine if you're the patient. The staff in the prep/recovery area did a great job making me and the other patients feel comfortable and relieving the psychological stress of an intrusive procedure. RN Meisha was the best. She looked after me as if I were a family member. And after the procedure she carefully explained to my wife and me what to expect and what we needed to do over the next few days. As for the hospital, the parking for patients was easy and convenient, the admissions process was smooth, and my wife says the McDonalds was jammed. A volunteer even wheeled me out to the entrance in a wheelchair when I was released. I was in an out of the OR in less than an hour and the report from my MD was very positive. read more

This is the WORST company to work for in the world. Just horrible and tortious. As a former radiologist-in-training from Saint James School of Medicine and now a Georgia law student, I was subjected to one of the most abusive, humiliating, and unlawful workplace experiences imaginable at Northside Hospital. After Supervisor Clifton Hester viewed my dating profile on Jack'd and I blocked him, I was immediately targeted with retaliation. I was denied medical accommodations for my disability--including a sit-stand desk and a supportive chair--while other employees received accommodations with no issue. Religious discrimination was appalling. When I wore my gold turban, Latoya Harper mocked me, saying I looked like "those people on the side of the road who sell pies." She laughed hysterically when I said I wore it to my interview. Another day, I wore a red polo and khakis--she said I looked like I worked at Target, right in front of Paulette Wright, who laughed and walked away. Harper's harassment escalated when she yelled in my face, claiming I told someone her marriage officiant was my cousin--something I never said. She knew I had anxiety and still got in my face with bloodshot eyes, trying to trigger a reaction. When I reported to HR (Natasha Morris) that female coworkers were putting their breasts on my head and laughing, Natasha laughed at me--and then fired me for reporting it. Director Tammy Karst escorted me out and said, "Don't you see how it was wrong to tell Northside you got an attorney?" No, Tammy--I don't. I know my rights. I've filed a $50 million lawsuit, and I will see every last one of them in court. I even had to call the police on my manager, Toneille Tineo, who got in my face during a forced meeting where she intentionally blocked my legal counsel from attending. Her assistant manager had to physically pull her back to her chair. One step closer and that would've been another count in the complaint. Northside and these five "leaders" now claim they all "work remote" to avoid being served. That's how low they'll go. But I have the evidence: over 100 pages of legal filings, fake write-ups, hostile emails, and a witness statement. If you care about your mental health, religious freedom, disability rights, or basic dignity--stay away. This place is not just toxic. It's tortious. This is not just a review. This is a legal warning. I have more truth to get out so I will be leaving more honest reviews every day! Five other employees were scared to speak up about the evil that dwells at Northside--but my mother is a pastor. I've seen demons get casted out of people. I'm neva scared!!! They won't even give me unemployment. SMH. The worst company to work for--or even get help from. Save your life and go elsewhere. read more

I felt VERY well taken care of and they were equally as friendly to my husband who waited for me when I had a procedure done. Really nothing bad to say! Clean facility. Friendly front desk receptionist. Free parking. However, after you leave the clinic you experience the WORST customer service. After a few business days I called their clinic to see if my lab results are in to get my medication. They told me that they will send in my antibiotics tomorrow because the doctor hasn't read the results yet but they didn't call back the next day. I called them back two days after and asked if it was ready and they said they would call me when they send it. After a week passed, I called again and they told me they had sent it in the prescription the same day I called the week before but ... they never told me (called me) like they said they would. Also during this last phone call, they never apologized for the miscommunication and hung up on me. Imagine if you needed a medication for a severely critical condition, they would be nonchalant about providing healthcare while you suffer. I am not returning back here. read more

Clean & quiet & efficient staff. In & out with kidney stones. Not including every random person who passed through and conducted some diagnostic, whose bills all came pouring in & I paid to the tune of $250-$500 a piece, several I tell you, the hospital itself sent me another bill for a whopping $11-odd grand. My apparent out-of-network insurance company did their discount thing & my responsibility should only have been $1100. But no, Northside Hospital practices BALANCE BILLING. They told me better luck next time basically & that I owe the full $11K. So, buyer beware. The healthcare industry is the only marketplace where transparency is treated like it's a bad thing and the consumer is treated like a scumbag, despite not having a choice or knowing what the consequences may ultimately be. I didn't stay overnight, no surgery, I didn't even pass the stones there... This was just to have me as a guest & hook an iv of saline up & give me a painkiller & have someone nice check on me until my iv emptied. The radiology department charged me separately, a flat fee. So, look it up. Balance billing. Unless you've got dynamite insurance, which I thought I did, beware. read more

Visited Northside Urgent Care yesterday. Was in waiting room over 3 and a half hours before being pulled into a room. Nurse was kind but didn't seem very proficient. had to stick me a few times before being able to draw blood. Doctor wasn't very thorough in the visit. I left with no answers but she prescribed me amoxicillin to prescribe me something... I asked for the prescription and was told it had been sent directly to the pharmacy. Upon calling my pharmacy they stated they didn't receive anything. It was then too late to call Northside back. My visit in total took over 6 hours of my day.... For no answers. and no medication. I called this morning to get the prescription issue resolved and was disconnected 15 minutes into being placed on hold. Called back an hour later and had to leave a voicemail. Very disappointing especially when you are feeling awful and just looking for answers and care. read more
