My wife and I started out specifically looking for a used Lexus. We were looking on the Northside Lexus website and stumbled upon an Acura MDX that was priced way below KBB value. I sent a message to Northside Lexus to see if it was still available and Luis Ortega responded that it was and would I be interested in coming in to see it but I was out of town at the moment. A couple days later, I inquired again and Luis invited us to come see it. It was at the height of tax season and I didn't want to lose it so I told him outright that I wanted it and could I make a deposit to hold it, and I made a $500 deposit over the phone. When we got there, we were welcomed into the dealership by multiple people. It was my first experience in a Lexus dealership and I have to say that it was impressive. Most dealerships treat you like you're an annoyance to them. Anyway, we go out to look at the Acura and it appeared to be in great shape, low miles, everything was fantastic except for two issues, when I started it, it made a terrible noise (which I assume is why it was priced so well and why no one had bought it) and the navigation system wasn't functioning correctly and kept saying error. I asked Luis if I bought it, would they fix the issues and he said no, that it's as is, and that they're a Lexus/Toyota dealer and not qualified to work on Acura/Honda. It wasn't a big deal, I knew what the noise was, it was a bad drive belt and I fixed it a couple days later myself for $15. The navigation error? The disk door was open. It's been about six months now and the Acura is fantastic. I highly recommend Northside Lexus and specifically Luis Ortega, they're fantastic people! read more

Been a customer for 20yrs and probably bought 12 cars from them. My salesman was forced into retirement then it went to hell. Worst customer service ever. Asked to speak to the GM many times and never had that conversation even though our experience went thru out the dealership. Last incident that occurred was a remote was taken out of my console. I guess the thief that took it thought they would have access to my home. Well unfortunately that wasn't the case because the access would gain him nothing. Northside Lexus - Excellent Professionalism. - Car Dealers Near Me - Spring, Texas

About a week ago, we purchased a 2025 Lexus-certified RX350 w/11,000 miles on it. During the initial visit/ test drive we asked numerous specific questions about the vehicle. The salesman was extremely kind and professional, but within a few days, we realized he did not know important information about the vehicle he was selling- information that, had he answered our questions accurately, may have convinced us to purchase a different brand of vehicle. Specifically, first he did not understand the Lexus certified warranty. Fortunately, the finance manager did, and explained it correctly prior to purchase- not a big deal, if that were the only issue. Second, on the test drive, our salesman confirmed that the turbo four-cylinder was designed to run on 87 octane gas. While reading the owners manual, we found that the vehicle requires 91 octane gasoline or damage to the engine could occur which was not warrantable. Why does this matter, you ask? Because 91 octane gasoline, on average, costs $1.00/gallon more than 87 octane. For the average driver, that works out to $50-$100 every month out of pocket just to put gas in the vehicle. I called the dealership right away concerning this misrepresentation, and the "manager is gone for the day, but will call you tomorrow" is still pending for five days now. Third, as part of the sale, it was agreed the dealership would have the windows tinted to limousine privacy tint for rear passenger compartment and back glass, and to meet legal tint for the front passenger compartment. When we picked up the vehicle today after it was tinted, the tint was all the same all the way around- there was no privacy tint anywhere. Everything in the rear passenger compartment was 100% visible through the rear side windows, as was the cargo floor and cargo area when looking through the rear glass. Anyone living in the Houston area knows this is an invitation to have windows smashed or car broken into to steal anything sitting on the seat, floorboard area or in the rear cargo area while the vehicle is unattended in a shopping center or mall parking lot. When I called the salesman about the wrong tint, I was told "that was all they had back there" referring to the service department, which was laughable because the dealership uses an outside tint contractor for that work. Next, the salesman tried to tell me "that's as dark as the law will allow", which is also again, completely wrong information. When confronted on this his answer was "Well, that's what THEY told me in service." Summarily, I initially trusted the dealership based on the Lexus name and previous ownership experience. I won't make that mistake again! If it wasn't for the fact that my wife is enjoying the car and wants to keep it, I wouldn't be just posting this review, I would be addressing these issues within a different context and in a different forum. read more

I have a 2007 Lexus RX 350. It has less than 146000 miles. August 18 I took it to the dealership as I was hearing an unusual noise. 2023 I got new tires had the censors replaced only to be told I needed new tires and the censors replaced plus other things. Is it a bad thing to be a WOMAN and not know or is it you just take advantage. When I took my car to the shop no kind of lights were on I told the person helping me a light was on and he said I needed to get the censors replaced. I hate being treated like a nothing. I'm too old to argue but can explain my so others don't encounter the agony like me Brianna Thank you for reaching out. In October 2023 I was told to replace the tire sensors and tires. November 2023 my tires were replaced with the mileage being 126830. The mileage today is 144330. The shop at the dealership was told by ME the light was ON and he intentionally left saying it would get reset when I got the repair. I've been told by some people that dealerships tell customers something is wrong inflating prices and getting away with it. I do believe that had happened to me. I have my paperwork and it's does not coincidence with the report I have in hand. I just gave a pimp $252.11 with no enjoyment at all. read more

Service was excellent from my first phone call with Donnie through my ACTUAL test drive and financing conversation with Jared and my paperwork with Caleb. All of the staff I interacted with, even those asking if we wanted snacks or water or extremely polite and extremely accommodating. We purchased a 2014 Avalon for a pretty good price. if I was a better negotiator I think I could've gotten a much better price but that's on me, not them! We were lied to and misled when we bought our Lexus RX450H+ from Northside Lexus. When we ordered the car, we were not told that Lexus has a shortage of key fobs for the past 3 years. Months later, when we picked up the car, we were told the second key would be mailed to us shortly. After a month, we asked about the second key's status. We were told to keep following up with Northside. After months of following up, we were told they would send us a letter when the key was available. So I contacted Lexus USA. The Lexus rep told us there is nothing they can do and that we should wait just one more month. According to Lexus, they still have chip shortages and cannot deliver 2 key fobs for many of their vehicles. I do not recommend this dealership, and would not buy a Lexus until they fix their supply problem. [UPDATE] We were contacted by the dealership after our review. The dealer's rep informed us that the key fob problem has been going on for 3 years. When I requested an aftermarket key until the Lexus delivered one, I was told no. When I asked who to escalate the issue with at the dealership, I was told to contact Lexus corporate. So I contacted Lexus USA. After they hung mid call two times, I was told the key is coming this month. The Lexus rep explained about Lexus's chip supply issues. When I explained that the dealer failed to inform us about Lexus's problem, the Lexus rep said they'd make a note. When I asked to be reimbursed for the rides I needed because the one key was accidentally taken by my spouse, they said no. When I asked to talk to someone about the issues with the dealer, the Lexus rep said dealerships are franchises and outside of Lexus control. When I asked to speak to someone in franchising about the issue, I was told no, and to submit a general request via the web site. Unlike my pre-COVID experience with Toyota, my Lexus experience says that I am not a valued customer. read more

My process there was pleasant and seem less. Jason noticed some very minir repairs needed on my car and had me scheduled to come in for repair, then gave me a great training of the features on my new car. He also let me know I could schedule with a team who are very knowledgeable about the features to learn more in depth about the computer and functioning. This is an incredible dealership. Very nice freebies with the coffee and the soda! I had a little energy coffee that was sort of like a nice espresso but absolutely excellent for free! more importantly, I ordered some brackets and they were in with in about four or five business days. And turned out the repair didn't require them, and I brought them back same day. There was no restocking fee. They simply credited the money to my credit card. Excellent oh and they also gave me a discount on the parts. They list for about $85 apiece and they gave me the pair for 125. I was really surprised I got a discount when you go to party. You have to ring a little bell and I was waiting for maybe 30 seconds when one of the managers walked by and said does anybody help you yet and I said no so we went into the back to make sure that somebody was gonna come to the front to help me and we burned about for a little bit and the next thing I knew my business was taken care of. I'm not sure about the difference mechanically between Alexis and a Toyota, but the difference in service between Lexus and any other car dealership I've ever been in is night and day. You're treated like somebody special as soon as you walk in the door there everyone has a smile on their face. It's a great atmosphere it's light and easy. And we know that Lexus is probably the best card that you can buy right now. There may be some cars that approach them but only one and you probably know what it is. read more

Run don't walk from this dealer! You have so many other options. I originally used this dealer to service my 2014 Lexus RX350. They were OK until they tried to scam me. I took the car in for leak my husband noticed while changing the oil, so we knew it was likely the rear main engine seal. I took it in and they confirmed. But then they added on a leak they said was coming from the timing chain cover. Total cost:$10k! That was almost the value of the car. My husband said the cover was not leaking as he would have seen it. We took it to an independent Lexus certified mechanic and they confirmed the rear main engine seal but said the cover was fine. They were trying to scam me for an extra $6600! I swore I would never give them my business again. Fast forward three years and I'm looking for a new Lexus to replace the 2014 (which had 228k miles - and never had a leak in the cover!). I found a used 2022 there and put in an internet inquiry. At about 9 pm (after closing) I got a text from the Internet Sales Manager, Herb Mills, with a link to the car listing on their website. I thanked him and said I would be in the next day to look at it. I also replied to an email from him. The next day I showed up at 9:30 am (30 min after they opened). I was referred to a salesman who proceeded to tell me the car was sold but he was sure he could find me something. The problem is that I wanted a specific year with interior features I didn't want "something." They knew the car was sold when they texted me and when I replied letting them know I was coming in. They deliberately deceived me to get me to come in so they could sell me "something." No thank you! I ended up buying a new car from Northpark Lexus in San Antonio. I will Never give Northside my business again and will tell everyone I know what a bunch of liars, scammers and thieves they are! AVOID them - there are way better dealers in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth and San Antonio with integrity and an experience that is worth a 4 hour drive. read more

Popped into Northside Lexus; I'd looked at their online inventory, and didn't see the vehicle I wanted. Suspecting that maybe the database was lagging, I decided to check for myself. As luck would have it, salesman Rex was at the greeting desk when I walked in. I made my request, and followed him back to his office. He searched the database, and found what I found, ie no vehicle in stock. Bummer. I told him walking in that I was just shopping, and had no intention of buying anything today; that way I feel like I am respecting the salesperson's time. Anyway, I was about to up and leave, when he told me about something called "allocated vehicles". He explained that to mean something like custom builds for the dealership, on order from Lexus. As it happens, there WAS the vehicle I was interested in, AND it was in my favorite color. Rex advised me that I could hold it with a refundable deposit for $1000...sold! So he puts together a packet, runs my credit card, the usual. Again, I'm about to leave when he says: I bought that vehicle myself. Let's take mine for a test ride! Are you kidding? Talk about above and beyond. Mind you: he'd already made the sale--or at least, the deposit. There was no incentive for him to go any further; but he did. So we go outside, and he pulls up his car. I'm about to climb into the passenger side, when says "no...you are driving." WHAAAAT??!! I'm not certain I'd let anyone from my own family drive my car, much less a stranger! Now, I'm a nice guy, so people are usually pretty nice to me; that is expected. But for him to offer his personal vehicle for me to drive was truly a new height, and much appreciated. Let me tell you how my experience has gone with Northside Lexus since buying my car in early 2020. Northside Lexus has yet to solve any of my car's problems and unfortunate for me having the Lexus warranty I can only take it to a Lexus dealership. I called Lexus warranty and according to them my remotes are covered under the warranty as long as the remotes are failing to communicate or failing completely. I was also told that Northside Lexus didn't even attempt to communicate with them about covering my remotes. I purchased my car from this dealership and spent the $5K for a warranty that Northside Lexus won't even try to use. I previously had it in because the serpentine belt system made a horrible noise and even made a video that I showed the service advisor and Northside had no clue what could be making the noise. You buy Lexus and expect top notch service not Chevy or Ford service. EDIT: It is important that businesses provide good service and likewise as a consumer we need to give credit where credit is due. Since my review and reaching out to Dorothy at Northside Lexus, she has gone above and beyond to fix my car's problems. The car itself is great, however the car is dependent on the special key made for that car. Upon receiving the car we were given but one key and told the other key would be available shortly. When I called a month later they said it would be available in a month or two. Four months have passed and now they are saying maybe by the end of this year. This is absurd, two drivers, one key is crazy. Had they told us that issue before we bought the car it may have factored on whether we go with Northside Lexus. Having the shortage is a real problem, failing to inform us of the real lead time is holding back critical information. If the chip shortage is so great, how come Acura, Audi amd BMW can get theirs. read more

This is probably the most disappointing experience in all our dealings with automobile-related matters ... as much as where it occurred as what happened. Northside is an upscale dealership, located in exquisite surroundings, without the high-pressure atmosphere found at other places. Customer service is outstanding, and ambiance is top-of-the line. Upon entering, though, we noticed several salespeople simply hanging out at the reception desk, similar to what we encounter elsewhere ... hardly a professional look. We were interested in a 2020 Lexus NX Hybrid, and verified its availability before driving almost an hour. Our contact salesperson was paged, and greeted us shortly thereafter. I don't want to mention his name, since he earns his living in the industry ... and given the number of years with Northside, such an incident isn't a regular occurrence (doesn't diminish it, though). He had us wait in the dealership's comfortable setting while he brought the vehicle to the front door. This took almost a half-hour ("The two toughest things around here: finding the keys and finding the car.") As he went over the features, we noticed a couple of strange things: the SUV was not a hybrid as described, didn't have a touch screen as his messages to me claimed (I got rid of my 2015 NX because of the impossible-to-operate touchpad), and navigation was not a feature, again as he had stated. Turns out that the hybrid had been sold, despite showing as available just before we'd left home, but he tried to pass off this SUV as the one we were looking for. When we noted all this, he stated that we could substitute Apple CarPlay for the navigation, the vehicle had only 1400 miles, and was a better buy. We asked about a new NX hybrid, to which he replied, "Let's look for one on the lot." Yeah, right ... two folks approaching 80, in triple-digit heat, searching for a car that may or may not be there. Actually, there was one in inventory that we would have considered, but he apparently had no clue about it. That was it. We told him that we're done, and wished to leave. He thanked us for stopping by, and back we went, another hour on the road after a totally wasteful time. read more

I called the service department about an issue with our car and was told it may have been because of a recalled fuel pump. Turns out it was, and Lexus was able to clear the codes that triggered the CHECK ENGINE light with the replacement of the pump, at NO CHARGE. Even after I had to decline a same-day appointment, they were able to get me in the next day, which is much faster than I could have expected. He guided me through the entire repair process and kept me updated via text and phone. He made sure I had a courtesy vehicle before I left the door and was able to pick up my own that same afternoon. Long story short: what I thought was going to be a set of costly repairs, Lexus took care of it in a fraction of the time. I will continue to take my vehicle to Northside Lexus as long as it needs any maintenance or repairs. read more

This is generally a good dealership for service, albeit very expensive (but that is to be expected). I just had my Lexus there for a brake fluid flush ($220) and 4 wheel alignment ($200). On the alignment, they only adjusted the toe. (Camber was barely green at 0.8 and 0.9 goes into the red) and they didn't adjust or mention it, but the tech left the before and after report on my dash. I have "directional" Michelin tires and ALL 4 tires were reinstalled incorrectly (rolling in wrong direction) so I am now sitting at Discount tire for an hour so they can reinstall tires correctly as Lexus dealership is too far away. Just because it is a Lexus dealership, don't assume these things can't happen.....and check their work as best you can! read more

Now they've decided to take the car and also keep my down payment. Beware of buying a used car from this dealership and if it's not a Lexus make sure you have it inspected buy a replicable shop or dealer of the cars manufacturer. read more
