Their staff is amazing and they understand customer service. The cabins are beautiful, serene and well kept. The views are amazing and the location is convenient yet remote enough to feel distant and unplugged. You park and take a boat over to the dock and the staff unloads your gear while you get settled in. And that's just the lodging. The food is spectacular and I gain weight each time I go, unfortunately. But, of all of the spectacular reasons to go to Young's Wilderness Camp, the fishing is out of this world. If you want to put a big Muskie or Pike in your boat, then Lake of the Woods and this resort is the place to be.

I would prefer if you were to come with family or friends because you do have to share a cabin with another family. You're also allowed to take fish home if you want to. The cabins were nice and comfortable. However, cell service was not great and didn't get more than 2 bars. WiFi was not very either. Also, don't be out on the patio after dark, bugs and especially mosquitoes are pretty vicious after dark. Boats, equipment, captains, and guides are provided. The accommodations are perfect for a fishing resort. They are clean, comfortable and include all the essentials you need for your stay. The grounds are also well maintained and in great shape. The staff is friendly, and efficient, willing to help with anything you need. The boats are very well maintained, clean and comfortable.. The fishing guides are all top notch! The are extremely knowledgeable , very friendly and helpful. They insure that everyone is well taken care of and happy. They try to insure that enough fish are caught so that everyone goes home with their limit. I believe the meal plan is the best way to enjoy your time. No cooking or cleaning and the meals served are terrific! Breakfast starts with a breakfast buffet that has all of the breakfast food you can want, and all very tasty. Lunch on the boat includes either a shore lunch made from the fish you just caught, or sandwiches on the boat which are fresh, generous in size and very tasty. All lunches also include some sort of home baked goody for dessert . For dinner, check out their on line menu. You can have everything for sandwiches to steaks as part of the package. I have not eaten this well in quite awhile. The restaurant staff is also very friendly, accommodating and efficient. I can't wait to return again!!!

Cedar Island Lodge is the first camp I've ever been to that we decided to return next year before we even left. Todd and Carrie are the most gracious hosts we've ever had. The cabins are beautiful, clean and very well furnished. The camp amenities are fabulous (HOT TUB!). And Pipestone Lake is another gorgeous Ontario setting that offers more then enough fishing action and variety. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
