I have been using Northwest Lock at my business for years. They have always done a excellent job. This spring I did a massive upgrades to my business, which included all new (4) commercial doors. That meant all new locks, door closers, entry and exit handles. Because of the construction schedule being hampered by the weather, Northwest Lock needed to make several trips to secure my business, until another door was installed. Really, top-notch service. Fixed a locking mechanism (that I didn't even know was broken) and produced keys for the lock all in under 3 hours and for under $20. The fella who answered my questions via phone was friendly and went out of his way to help me before I even walked into his shop. Good service, so...I also called when I needed the bolt lock replaced on the front door of my business. They showed up when scheduled, were in and out in a flash, and were VERY affordable. Let me begin by saying that I have used this service before a year prior and they were great. I came in to replace a key fob and the young man who helped me, Jared, was awesome. I received the key fob on a Wednesday and on Thursday it seemed to be separating and did not work. I dropped it on the floor while I was carrying groceries in and it came apart completely and I collected what I thought were the insides of it. I was unhappy as a key fob that I paid $70 for should not come apart a day after I got it and dropping it in the floor while carrying in groceries should not cause it to come apart. It was not a hard fall. I went in on Monday to see if I could get it replaced. I believe polilteness costs nothing and having worked in retail and the service industry I always have the intention to treat people well and if they're unkind or rude I chalk it up to a bad day. Now I am not sure if it is because I am a 23 year old blond woman who looks suspect, but the woman who came to help me named Beth was quite simply rude. I was not demanding or unkind, but I did express my disappointment respectfully. Jared ended up helping me again and offered to sell my a fob at wholesale. Not happy about it, but appreciated him. I came in the next day because I thought about the fact that i had spent 70 on a key fob and it came apart the day after I got it and then I was treated poorly. I got Beth on the phone and asked to speak to someone else. She was very confrontational, "Why don't you want to speak to me?" and when I told her as kindly as I could that I felt she was very rude to me yesterday she continued to be rude. This is why I am writing the review. I mentioned that I had dropped it and she goes "oh so you dropped it,' and then proceeded to tell me she was putting me on hold and transfered me to Jared. I am incredulous that she would treat me the way she did and hurt. To be rude to your paying customer after they voice their disappointment respectfully and for her to stand her ground...and be rude back. I don't have anything else to say. I felt that I needed to write this because I have never received such poor service. Again I would like to stress that the gentleman who helped me out was great. The guys were great. Went completely out of their to help us out from giving us a ride to and from our hotel to calling all the surrounding dealers to find the correct replacement key fob for our truck. If you run into any bad luck and need a locksmith these are the guys to go to. read more

When my Jeep Wrangler wouldn't start because i was having trouble with the ignition, I called Northwest Lock and the gentleman tried to walk me thru some things I should try before having to pay him to replace it. None of his suggestions would work, so I had the vehicle towed to Northwest Lock. They were very fast, professional and definitely well-priced. 4 trips in to their location, 1 key and a blank starter key later, still not working. I took the blank and removed the transponder and inserted our transponder took all of 5 minutes. They needed to have the car. I paid $25.00 for a blank key that on line is about $6.00. But I did get lots of attitude, That must have been what I paid for. Plus the blank did not come with any of the buttons for the remote, so I still have to order more stuff. I will never use them ever again. read more
