I went to see Mark Jamantoc and I couldn't recommend him enough! The healing program was transparent, easy to understand, and I was able to start running again after only a month of PT. Now, 6 months after "graduating" PT, I was able to race my 25k with 5,000ft elevation gain with no calf or achilles issues! It's not just about healing but he took the time to make me understand the ongoing workouts I needed to stay injury free. I had been pushing myself hard, trying to do my workouts and ignore some little annoying aches and…read morepain until one day I heard/felt a "pop" in my calf while jumping rope. Pain followed and I was no longer able to as my husband would say "suck it up". I pretty much couldn't walk. Lucky for me, my gym has a resident Physical Therapist. I picked up the phone and the same morning I was on his table. It didn't take him long to figure out what my pain was from. Mind you, no expensive scans or xrays needed! This guy! He knows what he is doing. After a few minutes he says confidently "I know what it is!". Ok that's great, I thought. But now what? Fast forward to a week later...yep! I could barely walk to my car a week ago!! Amar spoke to my personal trainer so I didn't have to miss any workouts! No drugs other than an Advil. Here I am = pain free and at maybe 95%!!! The best thing about Amar is his personality! He is very encouraging, friendly and has a great sense of humor!
