I like this place a lot but the wait for walk ins is long and the price for appointment cuts is too high for a basic cut. even the walk in price is too much for me, but they know what their time is worth and I'm mostly bald, so do the calculus for yourself. four stars for quality and kindness from my three visits, lose one for price. if you have a full head of hair, go here. if not, find a more traditional old-school barber who knows how to to a basic 'clean up.' wish I had my eighties hair, I'd be here twice a month. read more

Great place to get a haircut - for men or boys. Would have given 5 stars, but we have never waited less than 45-60 minutes, which I think is insane, especially when you have to come every 4 to 6 weeks or so, with kids in tow. Wish they would bring back their appointment option! read more

This is my second time at this barbershop and now they are 2/2. The last time I went I saw Angela and she did a great job. I have been testing out barbers all over the south shore for the last few years and have found decent people over the years but no one or shop that ever felt like my place. I came in today (right before Christmas) and of course it was busy. They were just cranking out haircut after haircut and it went pretty fast. I was hoping Angela could help but she was busy. Nick cut my hair and did an incredible job. My beard came out great too. There's a lot of pressure on a new barber. Especially one that cuts on the tail end of a ten-year allegiance to the one and only Fast Phil. Phil, I miss you man. But you're, like, 30 miles away. Enter Doug, and his no-frills clipper shop. Four active chairs, a waiting room with TV and a stockpile of dudezines, organic banter, a straight razor finish, and a fair $16 price tag are all you need to know about this place. That and my wife's overwhelming approval of the new cut. Because my speculation is limited to the front, and as well know, the true sign of barbaric proficiency is found along the sides and back. Exactly as advertised. They ask, listen, and execute for a reasonable price. I go straight back with my hair at the moment. 4-5 inches on top, 2-4 on the sides, skin-tight fade on the neck...and leave my hairline around my forehead and sideburns natural - why is it a barber's natural instinct to line this up?... com'on man read the room! - this shouldn't be a difficult request but it somehow is. Far too often barbers don't listen, don't ask, or don't (or can't) execute. 9/10 times outside of the city I ask for a bald fade on the neck and receive some gross square bull sh*t. Nick B (I think) asked, I told, he delivered. Simple. For the shop - I came here because you have a website that explicitly states your ability and willingness to do fades. Well done. Worst cut ever...I tried a different barber from last time since the last one was bad...this one was even worse...#smh

We just moved back to the S Shore area and my bf was looking for a barber. After doing a couple of drive-bys he decided to go in and give them a shot. The place is much bigger than it looks from the outside and the surfaces are very clean and devoid of clutter. He had the young barber who did a fantastic cut and shave. After we had left, my bf noticed a few stragglers that he had missed and had realized that he had not done his eyebrows. He came back a few hours and it was no problem to get these things fixed. Reasonably priced at $16 and ample parking. He will definitely be back. read more

As woman with an undercut, Goba is the only one I ever feel 100% comfortable letting not only fix it up, but do whatever design he wants. Our family has been here many times. It is normally a good experience. One thing that really gets annoying is when a shop does not stick to their posted hours. Both the web page and the shop door have the same ours. The door is locked an hour or more beforehand. This has happened more than once. read more

My barber (Dave) and the other barbers I watched while I was there, really took their time and paid attention to detail, right down to the straight razor neck trim. For years, I went to Supercuts. For some reason, I assumed Norwell Clipper didn't have great hours. Incorrect. I assumed that NC would be more expensive. Wrong. (It's cheaper) What I found was a top notch barbershop with a comfortable waiting area, hdtv's at every barber chair (so cool), and really friendly and talented barbers. I'm never going back to Supercuts. read more

If you are looking for a Barber Shop on the South Shore, Doug's Norwell Clipper on Rte 53 is the best place in town. Doug is a long-time Barber and really good at what he does. He employees a couple of younger guys too who are excellent. I have been going there for haircuts for a while but my wife has been taking my 4-year son to the likes of Great Cuts and Snip Its, which is ridiculously overpriced for a 5-minute boys haircut. Yesterday, my son and I sat side-by-side and got our haircuts together. Not only do they give a great haircut, which takes about 15-20 minutes, they are personable and can have a conversation about sports and what is going on in the town and in the news. Not too sure the 18 year-old hair "stylist" at the franchise hair cuttery can beat that! And men, you get a warm "old fashioned" shave on the back of the neck. This is a great place to get your haircut however do NOT get a haircut from Fran. I showed him a picture of how I wanted my hair to look, which was a pretty straight forward style (fade) but it still came out bad. He's a nice guy but not so skilled with the razor and clippers. The barber who cut my hair, Ryan, was extremely incompetent. It is not just that he didn't give me the cut that I requested, but that he made objective mistakes. My hair is lopsided and uneven everywhere. I had to fix it up myself. He displayed none of the usual courtesy--he was rushed from start to finish, and did not hold up a mirror to show me the neckline. I realize now it was because he shaved way too high--another novice mistake. In a few days the back of my neck will be a furry scarf. I can't say anything about the other barbers--perhaps they are as good as people say. But stick to supercuts or some place where they require certification for all barbers. The problem w places like this is that you could get a pro, or someone who is clueless. read more

Just received the worst haircut I've probably ever gotten. I believe the barbers name was Fran... I told him not to touch the top of my head because of the simple reason that I was growing it out! He said he had to trim the top otherwise it wouldn't work so he cut the back top of my hair and it looks horrible. I also told him to give me a bald taper fade and not to go above the ear and he went well over it! Then he put gel in my hair and slicked it back probably so I wouldn't notice right away that he buzzed the rear top of my head like I said before not to... but he said it wouldn't work... so yes the one paying for the haircut is wrong and must receive what the barber wants read more

I have been coming here since they opened and would not go to any other place to get my hair done....it just wouldn't be right. Everyone here is not only friendly but they do the job right the first time(there is only one time when cutting hair so that's good). Defiantly the place to come to get your haircut.
