Driving through Idaho and stopped for a late lunch in Burley. Looking for something local and healthy we bypassed all the usual burger, taco, and chicken joints, and stopped at Nostalgia. So glad we did! I got an iced coffee and a chicken, walnut, cranberry wrap, my husband had the same in a sandwich. Both were extremely delicious and the service was great. Kind, friendly people and fresh, yummy food make such a difference. Next time we are in the area, we will eat there again for sure. You will spend more than a Happy Meal... but WELL worth it! read more

We just stopped in for coffee/espresso drinks on our way to Utah. We are from San Francisco area in California and like our coffee a certain way. Idaho and Utah are not very coffee oriented places but we found Nostalgia and weren't expecting too much. Wow. Husband and I were very pleasantly surprised! I had the Caramellow (spelling?) and it was delicious. The Barista was super nice and he even gave our daughters little cups of whipped cream with sprinkles when we handed us our drinks. This is my second visit to this place of business (only BC my favorite spot was closed) unfortunately, again, this visit was stressful. I have 2 children, 7 and 5. We felt as if we could barely breathe before her ice cold stare would make us feel unwelcome. My kids appreciated the gem looking sprinkles on their whipped cream HC, but the hospitality received will not have us returning anytime soon. I gave this place a second chance BC our first visit we felt the same, I excused it for having a bad day; everyone is entitled to a bad day. The unpleasant experience was topped off as we were leaving. The owner gave a surprising comment to my friend's girl, who was holding onto dingy door, while her mom was putting her little bro into stroller, "can you get off my door". Really!? Really!? As I left I did tell the owner way to go on making coffee time super stressful. Ugg...excuse me as I go meditate to release the negativity I picked up from this place. read more

We were passing thru the area and found this gem. Scrumptious scones and brownies! Then our lunch, best tuna melt I've ever had with really crispy cheese on the outside-tasty tuna mixture on the inside. Food served nice and hot too. BLT salads were great too with fresh made salad dressing. So refreshing during a long drive home. The server and cook were so friendly, and dog friendly too. What a (hidden) gem! It's a ways off the highway - for those of us traveling through - but well worth the drive. Great coffee and other drinks and terrific pastries. Maybe even better is the uber friendliness of the owner and staff. This would be a great shop in any big city! They had cold brew there, but I didn't try a cup. I love to support local business, however if I ever go back, I will be paying in cash. Warning! I paid for my coffee with my credit card. Not even 10 min later I get a call from my cc company for a fraud warning that someone was trying to buy $500 worth of items from a store in Wisconsin. Considering I only use this card for coffee, I thought it more than coincidental that less than 10 min after getting the coffee my card was being used for stuff from Wisconsin. Be careful. read more
