The quality of the items which I have purchased has always been excellent, and on the rare occassion that I have had a problem, the staff have handled it well and issued a refund or replacement. Dunelm Mill often have some very good promotions on their bedding, which incidentally is the thing that I tend to shop there for most. They cater for all tastes - whether your home is contemporary or vintage inspired there's bound to be something that you need (or more often just want in my case!). They do charge for delivery, though it is fairly reasonable at £3.95 for standard delivery or £5.95 for the next day service. Their own branded paint is better than all of the leading brands that I have tried! I recommend it to everyone. And the best part is that it is usually less than half the price of the leading brands. They sell pretty much anything you could possibly need for renovating your house. I know of many builders who buy their supplies from Wickes as they offer such good value and quality. The staff are always very friendly and willing to help, although I have seen some rude customers asking really awkward questions. What some customers tend to forget is that the staff are not educated in diy so they have as much general knowledge as the average person, hence they often can't answer tricky questions. Still, they have always been very polite if I have had a query and I have never had a problem in obtaining a refund if a product I bought has been unsuitable.

They have massive stock and an even bigger stock of components that I would have usually ordered from the internet, in this case, a laser diode, and they could give me the advice that I needed without anyone having to water things down too much. The staff are also very friendly, and its a pleasant shop to just stroll around and do some window shopping!
