The former JD's Que and Brew has been transformed into a lovely fast casual Greek restaurant with counter service. There is even a bar are with counter seating and three - five tables (two standard height and three counter height. There is a monstrous screen behind the bar for sports, but they mostly show videos of Greece, but they are mesmerizing videos of a beautiful country. It's a cleaner version of Dengeo's. And, dare I say, better version. Except for their avgolemeno soup. Such a weak travesty. Please fix this. It's just a watery mess. However, everything else is delicious. I ordered the Greek Chicken with their lemon-butter rice. They debone the chicken and serve atop a mountain of their rice. If also had their potatoes (which are good) but the rice is magical. The first time we went, they had a serve yourself soda fountain and they since got rid of it and sell soda in bottles and cans. They do still have a self-serve water station. Once you order, staff will bring to your table, so please tip when you order or leave on the table as they do come by and clear your table as well. It is first come first served and you grab your own tables. I've been there on weekends and weeknights and they get pretty packed. The food is flavorful and quite tasty. The portions are huge so you're definitely going to bring something home. Nostimo is now in our rotation of places to go in a pinch and they do have an outdoor seating area, too. read more

We decided to come here as 2 of my sons wanted to try this place. We invited my in-laws and my brother-in-law and his family. Since there was a total of 11 and the seating is first come first serve, we decided to call to see if they had reservations. They did take our name and reserved a table. When we arrived we noticed a table was reserved and we were informed that it was our table. We sat and looked over the menus. When we were ready my 2 boys and I went up to place our order. My one son has major allergies so we spoke to the chef and he came back out to recommend the dishes he can have. It was great that he did so and gave us confidence that my son would be able to eat without worrying too much about the ingredients. I ordered the Shrimp Kalamakia with a side of the Greek Rice. My son with the allergies ordered the Pork Kalamakia with Greek Rice and no pita, my other son ordered the Traditional Pork Gyro with Greek Rice. The sides we ordered: Saganaki Fritters and Spanakopitakia. My son that ordered the Pork Kalamakia devoured it. He said it was tender and juicy and probably could have eaten 4 skewers. My Shrimp Kalamakia was nicely charred and seasoned, I squeezed some lemon and it provided a nice tang over the seasoning. The Lemon rice pilaf was soft and cook just right and was nicely balanced. I had one Saganaki Ball and it was delicious. My son had the Pork Gyros said it was really good and the Tzatziki sauce was creamy and rich with flavors. My in-laws bought the table desserts and I got the Baklava and my wife got Loukoumades (Greek Donuts with Nutella) and both did not disappoint. I really loved the citrus honey syrup in the Baklava. The Loukoumades had a crispy shell and nice a fluffy on the inside and the Nutella amount was perfect. This place is very good and well worth the price in my opinion. Greek fast food joint very nice place. Has outdoor seating as well as a large dining area. I got the Greek smash burger. It was pretty tasty. My son got the pork souvlaki and he loved it. My friends got a variety of foods such as calamari, Greek salad, gyros, and humus. Everyone was extremely satisfied with their selections. We also got ice cream and loukoumades. There are tables and booths throughout and were kept clean. The decor is very nice with flowers cascading from the ceiling with very cute light fixtures. You get a feel for actually being in Greece! The process of ordering was easy - my friend and I placed our order with a front counter staff member and grabbed a table number. Within 5-10 mins our food was ready and brought over to us. We both tried the gyro (lamb and beef) pita. I thought the fries would come as a side but they are actually inside the gyro itself. Pricing is on the higher side for it being fast casual, however, the quality of the food makes up for it. Everything was tasty and full of flavor. The portion is fair and I did have left overs. Fast casual Greek food that's priced similar to full service Greek restaurants, with food quality that fortunately matches the price. Nostimo serves up cuisine that is well seasoned with great textures and good portion size, similar to what you'd expect if you dined in at Plateia or Demitri's but in a very large dining room that's beautifully decorated and a much more casual atmosphere. The servers are friendly as well and were quick to correct an error in our order. The meat here is cooked nicely from the slightly juicy pork kalamakia to the meaty gyros, there is the right amount of fat in the portions which are cut into good sized pieces. The seasoning isn't too aggressive but fairly tasty, with a lower sourness level than expected from Greek food. I also enjoyed the sides I tried, with the feta fries having a great mix of crispiness, tenderness, and saltiness. The greek potatoes were done equally well without having too many herbs. I also enjoyed the freshness of the tomatoes and onions, demonstrating the consistency of using high quality ingredients. Overall, delicious food in a nice setting. We came here on a whim, as we were looking for a place for lunch near an escape room nearby. We absolutely love Greek food and this by far is the most legit traditional gyro I have had since visiting Greece. The decor was super cute (Greek signs and all), plenty of space to sit, and take out seemed popular. The service was fast and they even offered the dine in tables a sample of baklava. Besides the traditional gyro we were shocked they actually had freddo espresso which is the go to cold coffee in Greece; metrio for us is preferred. There are plenty of options for gluten free too. The only thing I wish they had were two different sizes of rice and soup, because they are very large. So food and service were great, but this restaurant is not getting more starts from me because I cannot in good conscience go back to a restaurant where they do not have paper towels available in the washrooms or the hands free door opener, aka, the thing on the bottom of the door you pull with your foot. All the restaurants in Greece are extremely sanitary like this, so if Nostimo really wants to be like those eateries in practice and not just in decoration, they will reconsider their bathroom setup. So I was talking to my daughter and she was making Grecian chicken . So this place came to mind so good my son had chicken and shish kebab came with salad toasted pita bread and option of Greek potatoes as I entered. I saw a photo of the Lamb and it completely forgot what I wanted to have the lamb is excellent, so tender and succulent, beautiful flavors I chose rice pilaf with it so good came with pita bread and a tomato and onion and salad. It pains me to leave this review, but I feel it's fair to share an honest experience. The food itself is good, fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared but unfortunately, the pricing doesn't match the overall experience. Two chicken skewers with a side of rice and potatoes cost $20, a regular gyro is $20, hummus as an appetizer is $8, a cup of soup is $8, and a Greek salad is $14. You order at the counter, receive a number, and the food is brought to your table, which makes the service feel fairly basic. There's nothing wrong with that style of service, but the pricing reflects more of a sit-down restaurant experience with full table service. Overall, the food is enjoyable, but the value just isn't there for me. If prices were more aligned with the casual service model, I would be much more likely to return. Excellent Greek restaurant! My husband and I are very judgemental when it comes to Greek food, and this place did not disappoint! Interior is spacious and clean, with plenty of seating. We got to try the baklava and it was very good too. My only complaint was with the prices. Nostimo is more expensive than similar restaurants serving similar food. Met a group of ladies there for lunch. This place came highly recommended. Definitely met my expectations. I ordered a pita sandwich which was delicious. Friends had ordered Greek salads, soup, sides of gyros meat, etc. my meal was delicious. The salads and soups looked fantastic. Service came around with bite-size servings of baklava to try. The portion size to price was insulting. We ordered pork souvlaki sandwiches, 1 kids gyro, a village salad with grilled chicken and 1 avgolemono soup (which did not even come with bread), and it was over $80. The souvlaki sandwiches had 4 small pieces of pork on it with fries in the pita and was loaded with paprika. The village salad was subpar, and the vinaigrette was extremely bitter. Such a great addition to the area. This counter service, fast casual restaurant offers an awesome menu with delicious food. There's nothing else in the area like it. They even have a drive through and catering options. The staff was very friendly and informative. They had a huge gluten free menu to choose from and everything we tried was very tasty. My favorite was the Nostimo Bowl and Greek Potatoes. They also serve alcohol and have a ton of unique non-alcoholic drink options as well.
