I've used this business twice; once to spiral bind some old copies of Chopin sheet music and once for lamination. Both times I felt like they either didn't want to listen or that they didn't put much care into their work. The first visit, some of my music wasn't lined up correctly when put through the hole puncher (see picture). Now they can't be properly bound and the edge is shredded. I didn't notice it when I picked it up as I had several stacks of music, and they just charged me all the same and never mentioned the mistake. I was disappointed. The second time I stopped in, I needed to laminate a bunch of cards. They grabbed them as soon as I said the word "laminate" and headed for the machine without letting me explain. Fortunately, I saw what they were doing and I stopped them before they could send them through. She was preparing to do the job with really light weight plastic, but what I needed was a really stiff card. When I tried to tell her, she didn't seem to want to listen and tried to convince me to just do it her way. I ended up just asking for my cards back and going 1/2 mile south to the FedEx/Kinkos. They did exactly what I needed and it cost 1/4 what I was quoted at this place. I like supporting independent shops, but only if I can get similar service and prices as the big guys. I don't feel like that's been my experience here, so I'll probably take all my business to FedEx from here on out. read more

Not Just Copies - Not punched correctly. - Printing Services Near Me - South Jordan, Utah

I showed up about noon on Saturday with a project that I needed later that day. We were quoted an outstanding price & that's exactly what we were charged. Jillian (hope I have her name right), made suggestions that didn't cost more but made the project easier & more complete. She did it with a smile, didn't rush us & had it ready in plenty of time. I live in Taylorsville and pass quite a few copy centers but I would go to NOT JUST COPIES no matter where I lived! I totally recommend them. They deserve TEN STARS!! Had a project this weekend & NOT JUST COPIES came through for me again!!! I called late Saturday afternoon. I needed color copies, cut & laminated. I got an email saying my order was ready just after 5 pm. They look perfect & I wish I could give Kristine a big tip for going about & beyond especially during this crisis!! I used to use this company all the time while they were on Redwood Road. They were always a great deal, fast and friendly. Their were other resources available at the copy shop which was great if I needed laminating, bulletin paper etc. However I give this place a 1 star now. I used to recommend this place all the time. But for now on I WILL NOT recommend this to anyone. Since they have moved to the new location off of 10600 south this place is a DUMP. It is a mess, is not presentable, needs MAJOR organizing and Even thought it as bigger space it is crammed and not inviting at all. I don't know how they can keep their orders on track. It looks like they would misplace things with how messy it is. I made a few 11x14 Prints here and they were never a problem before. So to save money I have driven out of my way to get a better price for my printing needs. However, they didn't print the right size. Said it wouldn't get fixed. Even if I Cut it out with the margin it still wasn't correct. I wanted them to fix it and make it my size I ordered. They said it was the machine issue and doesn't print that size. They made me pay for the "fixed" on which was the exact same. Charging me double and not letting me know in the original order that this couldn't be made to this size was VERY FRUSTRATING!! I decided to give this company another chance after a few months and the company still looks like a mess. I think only one lady works there. SHE IS NOT PLEASANT TO WORK WITH!!!! She acts like she is SUPER busy and your project will be put on the side and done in between orders . My Project could have been done in a few hours at the local Office Max. This lady took 2 WEEKS!! I knew it could be time consuming but after a week I called to see if project was done. She was to make 7 books with spiral bound but only had half of one finished after a week. THIS WAS NOT COOL. She said "It's time consuming and I only work on it between other orders." NO NO NO thats not cool. Finish the orders as they come. Complete task and move on. The company is only open for 2 HOURS a day!!! 4-6pm weekdays and 9-11 am on Saturdays. These times are so hard for anyone who works. To finish off my experience there, I was able to rush to pick it up in time on a Saturday. She was not friendly upon entering. The store was still a disaster of a mess. she was eating her popcorn at her computer watching a show. My project was completed. The price was still decent, but the Rings I wanted were not the ones on the book. She charged for the biggest rings and not the second to biggest size. I only picked up one book and the pages were falling out. I went back inside to have her fix these issues and She was somewhat apologetic but mostly irritated that I came back in and acted shocked that they were falling out. (SINCE THEN I HAVE COME HOME AND EVERY SINGLE BOOK HAS PAGES COMING OUT!!! THEY WONT FIX THE ISSUE BECAUSE ITS TOO TIME CONSUMING TO FIX.) I also also realized one book was significantly on a smaller binder size (The size I wanted) I asked for her if she could put the correct size binding on the book and refund me that cost. She said "No, because that would be $6 refunded for that binding to get the other small one. If I switch the binding refund you it takes 20+ minutes to do each book and I only get paid $14/hour. It's not worth the cost for me to do this!!"-Not Just Copies Employee SERIOUSLY?? DO CRAPPY JOB DOESN'T MATTER? MAKE ME PAY $70 for a project that took twice as long probably costed more than the local office max and then she wouldn't FIX her problems with my project????? I wished they would refund me for all the hassle I've had to fix myself at home!!! Lastly, the pages were not in the same order I put them in. They were all mixed up in a different order based on the size instead the order I needed to be in. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!! ZERO STARS 1) I WENT THERE FOR THE SMALL BUSINESS FEEL AND PRICING 2) I WILL NOT DO THIS AGAIN!! IT WASN'T WORTH THE EXTRA SAVINGS IN PRODUCT COST THEN GOING WITH ANOTHER STORE NEARER TO ME. 3)THE BINDING QUALITY WAS POOR!! THEY DIDN'T TAKE CARE IN THEIR WORK. THEY WOULD NOT FIX THE ISSUES BECAUSE IT "WASN'T WORTH THE EXTRA TIME TO FIX THE $10 BOOK THAT WILL TAKE 20 MIN OR MORE TO FIX FOR THEIR HOURLY WAGES OF $14/HR. " 4)The $70 Project I paid for to get done was HORRIBLE!!! A WASTE OF MONEY!!! I HAD TO TAKE IT A PART MYSELF TO FIX papers that were not in the binding and falling out of each of the 7 books I had them make!!! If I was reviewing just the quality of their work it would be at least 4 stars, maybe even 5. But my experience at this store was not stellar. I arrived in the early afternoon on Saturday and was the ONLY customer in the shop. I was greeted and gave the woman the two projects I needed done--two pages of laminating and a book I wanted bound. She indicated it wouldn't take long. Around that point a whole herd of other customers arrived, but as I was there first I was not worried. For the next FORTY MINUTES the two employees puttered around with my two quick projects, stopping constantly to serve the line of other customers who had arrived after me. I do not understand their logic. Had they just focused on my projects, I would have been out of there in 10 minutes and then they could have taken care of all of the other customers. Additionally, she could have indicated it would take 40 minutes and I could have left for another errand and then returned. In any case, all of those customers but one were done before me. Will I be back? Not anytime soon. read more
