Usually not a huge cake person, but I went in for the peppermint chocolate bunt cake. Nothing Bundt Cakes has a good variety of cakes, from tiny bite sized bundtlet's to the large sharable cakes. The cake I got was moist but had a very mild peppermint flavor. When I first walked in someone was being helped and was picking out decorations for their cake so I stepped back to stay out of the way. Someone else had walked in and up to the case to look and I think when another employee came out he thought she had been there and I felt bad because when I stepped forward I did not want him to think I was cutting her off. He was super nice though. Apps are the way to go now. On-line ordering said a 35-40 minute wait for pick up time and I Was in and out in less than 10 minutes. BUT the app has some great deals. For signing up I received a BOGO coupon which you can use on-line or in store. One cake for me and one to share with my Mom! Great deal! I recently called in right after they opened to place an order for pick up around lunchtime. When I arrived I had to wait for two employees to finish their personal conversation before they acknowledged my presence. My order was not ready. I was advised they were super busy and just hadn't the time to get it ready. I told them I was going to go grab a burger at In & Out and I will come back in about 45 minutes. After my lunch and a quick shopping trip in Sprouts I returned. The staff looked at me as if they had never seen me before. I knew right then that my order was still not ready. She spent several minutes searching for my order but never could find the sheet that she had in her hand an hour earlier. When I asked my order was not ready she let me know that they had been busy. She was offended that I would even ask. Eventually I just selected from the display case and left. When I got back to the office I discovered that my order was wrong. A few times I went into the store to purchase a box Bundtinis, I was told I had to wait as they had to still put it together. They recommended I order online so it would be ready and no wait when I show up. So this time, I ordered online and went much later in the afternoon to pick up and was disappointed to find I still had to wait as they had to still put it together. I was told they had a busy day. So I went into the store to put the order in myself. I then get a call the day before the order is due about my first online order. I been ordering cakes and bundtinis since the opening at this location. The service is always pleasant and dependable. I also enjoy the occasional BOGO on the bundlets for this location. Favorite flavors to order is chocolate chocolate chip and carrot. I recently ordered the strawberry cream and this month's special the chocolate peppermint. The only trouble is the phone app. I had difficulty ordering a cake so I came to the shop. I was in the area and saved a couple of bucks by ordering in person and not picking up the online fee. On another occasion I phoned in my order to make sure they would have enough strawberry bundtinis first thing the next morning. Server was very pleasant and assured me that my order would be ready. A sweet end to a challenging day. I stopped in on a rainy afternoon recently after grocery shopping nearby. I just had a hankering for something sweet, particularly if it involved cream cheese icing! I always try to order online with anything these days because to avoid interactions, but this store's employees are always so pleasant, professional, and genuine. I really appreciate that and am thankful they are in my neighborhood! Special shoutout to the employees that were working Thursday, Feb 6 after 8pm- super personable and customer oriented. After 15 minutes waiting it still wasn't ready. I switched my order to a pre-packaged box just to get out of there. All the staff were SO, SO nice and helpful. But some time management improvements in the back would help as there were several staff working. Over 15 minutes to put 12 cupcakes in a box seems really excessive. The service that I received from an associate named Marissa at the Carmel Mountain location is really world class service. She's very professional, personable and really extends herself to deliver an outstanding client experience. She is probably the only person that I would let successfully upsell me. She's a good kid, with great product knowledge. I'm very impressed with her poise for sales. I think the manager is named Cody. He's also a gentleman. He was very kind to my daughter. In an ideal world I believe Cody hired Marissa. I hope she goes into marketing, or markets herself in the future. She has impressive warmth and communication skills. I added this event to my calendar a week ago and have looked forward to it. I arrived around 1pm and parked near Sprouts bc I thought it would be busy. Oh, was I right! The line went past Sprouts and I honestly did not know if I would get a free Bundtlet bc they were only giving away a limited quantity of 111. A $5.50 value and generous portion. Right on the dot @1:11pm they started handing them out in prestapled brown bags. The other patrons around me in line were both excited and nervous and doubted we would get one since we were so far back. I had faith in NBC that they would be generous and be able to gift us all of us one. Sure enough when I reached the front of the line there were about 10-15 bags left. I was really grateful and this just makes me enjoy NBC that much more since they give back from time to time. I usually stop by when I have major cravings for the Red Velvet or if I get BOGO coupon in the mail. They are also generous enough to give you a free one on your birthday, you might wanna make sure you sign up for their listserv at least 1 month prior to your bday to be safe! I don't know what the criteria is for sure, but the sooner prior to your bday is the safer bet. The Oreo (seasonal) and Red Velvet are my favorite flavors. I've visited several Nothing Bundt Cake locations over the years and this one is set up very similarly. Inside, the shop is clean and brightly lit. Hannah greeted me warmly upon entering the shop for my first visit. As I'm familiar with most of the flavors, I immediately set to picking bundtlets from the display case: Marble, Red Velvet, chocolate chocolate chip and white chocolate raspberry. All of the bundtlets were just as good as I remembered. And after several bites, the rich frosting they each come with starts to overpower my taste buds. I hadn't previously had anything from NBT before, but when I saw one had opened up by Sprouts I had to try. To celebrate a birthday, I ordered an 8" cake in, what should be the obvious choice, confetti flavor! Using their website, I put in the order about 3 hrs prior to pickup, I'm not sure if they make the cakes in advance or if they're just *that* efficient, but the ability to put in short notice orders online is pretty convenient. As for the cake, it was pretty well presented. I do wish there were more options for customizing. For instance, all the decorations seemed a little wasteful and made the whole thing a little tall for storage. Felt bad throwing away that much cellophane. Would have preferred an option for a simple edible decoration. And maybe just the flag, all in a cardboard box. The flavor of the cake was great. I can't say I've ever had a cake *this* moist and fluffy. The icing is good, but a bit rich for me. If there were a non-cream cheese option I'd probably have been slightly happier but I can appreciate the appeal. If you need something in a hurry or don't want to think too hard, NBT is a good choice. Kind of pricy, but not unreasonably so. There's lots of other excellent bakeries around though if you want something a bit more bespoke or unique. read more
