Do NOT hire Nottawasaga Mechanical -- unit doesn't heat I paid $32,000 for ductwork and a heat pump. The system never reached set temps and my studio stayed too cold all winter, forcing constant aux heat ~$3,000 monthly hydro bills. They made 8 service visits, insisted the system was "performing perfectly," and repeatedly deflected blame to me and my architect instead of fixing the heating. Asked 3x to install AC drainage resulting in water damage because of their negligence to finish their job. They refuse to replace or properly repair the malfunctioning unit. I join the crowds saying, if i could leave a zero I would. Cancelled install of a new heat pump a number of times, different excuse every time. Finally the day came, unable to complete the work on the day and now over a month later and work is still not complete. pricing was no better or worse than others - customer service significantly worse would avoid like a plague read more

I have been a customer of this company 25+ years and after this past call NEVER again after them being my valued contractor for 25+ years my A/C after time finally bit the dust.. I'm an electrician myself so have a general understanding how these statements work.. knew it was shot over the phone tell them this.. tech has to come 150$ later yes sir your A/C needs replaced.... Thanks I already knew that.... then it takes 4 days for the "sales rep" to come out what her job is I still have 0 clue but she did the same thing the technician already did nearly a week before.. takes 2 days to get a quote now by this point I've had enough before I even got the quote from Nottawasaga I had ready called another company,got an inspection, a quote, and a new A/C until in less time than it took them to have all that before i coukd even get a tech from Nottawasaga to tell me what I already knew ITS BROKEN you lost a customer who valued helping local contractor.. Plumbing Review: Dave came out to look at our plumbing as we had a few issues. One a strange smell in one bathroom and drain flies in another. I quickly lost confidence in him when all he did was shine his iPhone flashlight in a couple spots and say "I don't know" it could be this, or "I don't know" it could be that. He also admitted he had never dealt with drain flies before and didn't know what to do. After 10 minutes I politely asked him to leave. I called the office to let them know the situation and asked to be refunded for the service call. They refused (45 minute phone call). We were told that Dave has 35 years experience and might not be good at communicating but could do the job. We were NOT impressed. Charged $200 for Dave to say "I don't Know". read more
