When working with couples, I offer three distinct approaches: (1) Premarital counseling, (2) couples/marriage counseling, and (3) discernment counseling. In premarital counseling I help engaged and seriously dating couples build a strong foundation for marriage. These sessions are typically short-term (up to 10 sessions) and focused on strengthening your relationship before the wedding. We’ll cover communication, conflict resolution, shared values, finances, intimacy, and family dynamics—helping you feel prepared and connected as you enter marriage. In couples/marriage counseling, I work with partners committed to improving their relationship. I help couples strengthen communication, resolve conflicts, and break negative cycles that make partners feel like “enemies.” My goal is to help you see each other as teammates, build mutual respect, and create a lasting, loving bond. Together, we’ll uncover recurring patterns, understand their impact, and develop healthier ways to connect without losing your individuality. Discernment Counseling is designed for couples who are uncertain about the future of the relationship (including those considering separation or divorce). In up to five 90-minute sessions, I help you gain clarity and confidence about your next steps—whether that’s working toward reconciliation through therapy or deciding to part ways with understanding.

History

Established in 2023.

After working for a group practice in Silver Spring, Maryland since 2019, I decided it was time to venture out on my own. My move to Northern Virginia for my husband's job provided the perfect opportunity to establish myself in the Virginia part of the DMV. Now licensed in MD, DC, and VA, I help individuals and couples all over the DMV re-build safety and connection in their relationships with their partners, peers, and themselves. Life is full of unpredictable twists and turns, and sometimes we need to carve out space to assess, process, and decide how to move forward. My specialty lies in helping couples heal from the trauma of infidelity, and I help couples come to important decisions about shared goals and dreams. My promise to my clients is to be present with you every step of the way, provide you needed compassion and grace as you navigate life's challenges, and encourage you to gently challenge unhelpful behaviors and thought processes that keep you stuck.

As a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist, I am passionate about helping clients at any stage of their relationship (i.e., dating, cohabitating, married, contemplating divorce or separation) and focus specifically on issues of infidelity, adversity, and trauma. As a first-generation immigrant, I enjoy working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and have experience working with military families as well as members of the LGBTQIA community.
