I have mixed feelings about Maripili, this place is tiny, like other people have mentioned, tables…read moreare tiny as well, so don't rush up and order everything at once because it will just not fit on your table. Price is reasonable but there were many technical errors when we came in to dine. What we'd ordered: Jamón Iberico - 18 months cure Decent quality jamón but slicing was off, instead of delicate shavings, we got some jamón chunks, some a bit chewy. Sobrasada - spicy red bell peppers patê Good but wouldn't order it again. Duelos y Quebrantos - jamón, bacon, chorizo, eggs Very good, this is what my dream of a sloppy breakfast is. Filled with my favourite parts of pork, scrambled eggs, but not overly greasy. Gambas al Ajillo - sautéed shrimp with garlic and spices TERRIBLE! Shrimp were tiny and not devained, so it was a bit sandy and there were no season to it. Just awful. Jamón com Melon - jamón with melon Very good! Took me to memory lane during Christmas times, spending with family, relatives, having good laughs, people having a great time. Melon was sweet and the counter balance of the jamón saltiness just enhances overall taste and experience of eating melon. Esgarret - red bell peppers, salted cod, EVOO, garlic TERRIBLE#2! Red bell peppers were tender and full of flavour, on the other hand, it was filled with a bunch of raw garlic chunks that had the same color as the cod! Not only they were pungent, it stole and killed my taste buds! Some other cons, the parking situation sucks and service is slow as molasses! But overall, I would come back to try other tapas, drink some wine as they have wine from all over Europe and ZA. I just have to remember to ask them not to use too much garlic, since it's raw it means that is added when served.

The food here tastes like something you might find in Madrid. The ambiance is interesting; they're apparently trying to create a household environment in each corner of this small saloon that holds fifteen tables. The service here is wonderful!

To be honest I got excited to see their logo and automatically linked to one of Richard Sandoval…read morerestaurants, but fell of the horse the minute I saw the menu, so boring almost fell asleep. Don't get me wrong, ambience is pretty chill and awesome, huge windows that can be opened, tables on deck, service is pretty spot on pushing booze to the gills. Food: + Spanish smoked sausage: eh, slightly spice, thing diagonal cuts served with a oil aioli. + Fried calamari: depressing frozen squid. Seriously, how dare a tapa house use frozen? Not saying to be snotty, but the whole concept of tapas in Spain is to use whatever is in season or something to be brought back to life, like croquetas or mixing whatever leftover the kitchen has with some mashed potatoes then frying it or covering with cheese and roasting it.

O churros tb vale a pena provar. Tb tem a vantagem de ser encostado em outros bares interessantes como por exemplo o Astor. Se vc quiser, dá para ir em um e depois no outro.

Yelp Review 2025 #167:…read more One of Latam's 50 Best Restaurants and Michelin Big Gourmand is A Casa do Porco or the House of the Pig. Aptly named since they raise their own pigs in a farm and they make sure they follow practices that are humane and sustainable. Feeding people with respect to the environment. They use the whole pig and nothing gets wasted. I made a dinner reservation a month in advance through their website. It was a simple process. I stopped by for lunch too and there was a line out the door for people without reservations. They do have a takeout window to the side of the restaurant if you want something like a sandwich. You can do their tasting menu or do a la carte. It'll end up cheaper if you did the tasting menu than a la carte. However, I have been eating my way around São Paulo and I knew I would be struggling to finish a lot of food plus, I had a 7am flight the next day. So, I ordered a la carte. I wanted the San Ze Pig (roast pig) but it's too much food. Torresmo de Pancetta + Goiabada + Picles de Cebola Roxa: Crispy pork cracklings topped with a thick sauce made with pickled red onions, and guava. You get 6 pieces. Definitely get this. It was crispy, salty and sweet. Sushi de Papada de Porco + Tucupi Negro + Ameixa fermentada: Pork sushi brushed with black tucupi (sauce made from fermented manioc which looks and tastes similar to balsamic vinegar) and fermented plum. It looks like unagi nigiri. You get 4 pieces per order. I was not given utensils. The items I ordered were meant to be eaten using your fingers. The interior and exterior seem very casual. There's graffiti outside the building and inside the restaurant. Even when you look in Google Maps, it doesn't look like it's a restaurant but an abandoned building. By the time I contemplated adding the San Ze Pig, I was already done with my meal and it was time for me to go back to the hotel. You can check out their menu on their website which you could translate to English to save time on making your selections. They also have menus in English if you ask for it. Service was great and helpful. It was nice light dinner.
