It is located a little farther from the down town area, and is a little walk to the Tram, but beyond that there is much more. The parking is nicer, outdoor and garage. It has a lovely sauna and pool, and the restaurant is very nice. In addition, it is a short walk to everything you need, a lovely large grocery store, a department store, many various excellent restaurants, and even a coin laundry matt, for those that don't have the $$$$ to spend on expensive hotel laundry services. There are some nicer hotels right downtown, but for the price this beats them, and the quiet little park does as well. It is my go to for whenever I return to Grenoble, France.

We came there on a wine-business lunch off-season. They had the restaurant opened especially for us, and a specific menu made by the chef according to the wines we were tasting. Menu: Whole Burgundy black truffle and foie gras in a brioche, with wild Bigorre pig's bacon and Brussel sprouts Roasted scallop (from the bay of Saint-Brieux, Brittany), black pudding (from the neighbouring town of Méaudre), pear and almonds, with a spiced cocoa sauce Crawfish and lobster, oxtail, Jerusalem artichoke Vercors blue cheese, Amarena black cherry Citrus and Muscat (sweet white wine) jelly, yoghourt and curry sorbet Rather impressive and very copious, but overall a perfect match for all the wines that were served that day. The pear and cocoa sauce for the scallops and black pudding was particularly well thought, revealing some sweet pear aromas in the wine. Fantastic! The restaurant also boasts with a very impressive spirits bar, that would be the delight of many an amateur.

For North Americans reading this review, the quality of the rooms and beds are like a Hampton Inn or Fairfield Inn, but at EUR 170 a night (USD 220)! If you have to attend a conference at the WTC some time between September and March, then the convenience of the hotel beats having to bear the rain and/or cold during that time of year. Finally the first night I had to open the balcony window as the room was just too hot with no way of reducing the temperature - the next morning I overheard someone asking the front desk about it and the follo9wing days it was fine.

And very difficult to get food in Crolles as everything is shut on Sundays. Room is very small, also dated. But it is clean. Wifi is free, but they just give you a 8 hour pass which is good for one device only. Why not just give one pass for your entire stay, and one that can be used on several devices ? Heating/Aircon is weird. No room control. Room was cold here at nighttime in January as a result. Shower is very basic, old worn out towels are supplied but they are pretty nasty. TV has the usual channels, yawn at CNN and BBC world being the few English options. Hotel is good for location with work, but not for social interaction. Parking is safe which is nice.
