The Glass House mountains in the distance on a clear day are worth the trip in itself. The gardens are nice, but because of the time of year, weren't in full bloom. However, the bird world was the icing on the cake. So many birds of all shapes and sizes. Many of them are friendly and will land on your arms, shoulders, head, feet, or anywhere else that they can perch in hopes of a snack or good conversation. If you're afraid of birds, don't come here. Would highly recommend this to anyone in the area who wants to see the garden and birds, or just a great view with some snacks from the gift shop.

The best part about the water park is that it has a little cafe attached to it. So it was easy to jump out and get snacks for the kids without having to dress everyone. The proximity to the beach was great. There was a supermarket next door and lots of food options in the area. Our room was decent. It took a little longer to get into the room than we would have liked and no one called to tell us it was ready (they said they would). All in all a great place and we are planning to come back.

We've stayed at other Oaks resorts before and felt comfortable staying here as we've done had good experiences in the past with other branches of the chain. The resort offers a restaurant and bar - but the main draw card was the kids water pool playground area. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment. The room looked liked it had been recently refurbished. It had modern furniture and decor with a lovely kitchen area. My only dislikes about the hotel were :- 1. The room was very very Dusty.. Thank God the hubby had some Telfast on hand! I was sneezing away and had terribly itchy eyes and nose.. :( 2. The noise from outside our room from other guests in the hall ways and car park were really loud.. And also the constant slamming of doors from other rooms front doors was so annoying.. Overall, the hotel is okay if your staying for a short time and have kids to entertain.. But, the price point is quite high in my opinion..

In addition, it has apartments that you can rent out to have a beach front view or a view of hastings street. It has multiple pools on the property and jacuzzi. My favorite is the beach access, it is on the 1st floor and beach front is right there. you can also easily walk to tea-tree bay in 20 minutes. The staff is extremely helpful and attentive to your needs. They even let us check out a tad bit late. oops. haha. I highly recommend staying there. The amenities are luxuries and the bathroom is spotless and modern. Enjoy.

These suites are 1 bedroom, fully self-contained resort apartments with huge spa baths in the ensuites. Upon arrival, the receptionist (Rachel) completed our check in with friendly enthusiasm, recommended a local day spa according to her personal experience and advised us of nearby restaurants and bars to visit. She then wished us a great stay and offered her assistance if we needed anything else. We also requested a pamper package to be added to our stay - when we arrived in our room we found a bottle of champagne in the fridge with 2 chilled glasses, a box of Lindt chocolates and 2 large bottles of delicious smelling bath scrubs and oils. Impressed. As the units are self contained there isn't any room service meals available - however housekeeping do come through the apartments if you show your "Please make up my room" signs and make the beds and provide fresh towels and tidy up. The pool area was always clean and inviting, the beach was directly across the road and all the suites face the ocean. The cost of staying here was not cheap - but considering what it is and how impressed we were with the service I feel like it was definitely worth it. I can honestly say I don't have anything bad to say about my experience with this resort. We've already decided to go back for a weekend stay as soon as we can - reception advised us on checkout they would do what they could to get us the same great room again. Will recommend this resort to anyone!

Spa in the ensuite, with a TV in the bedroom that can be rotated to be seen from the spa. With a pamper package thrown in, you can have a nice champagne and a chocolate while watching your favourite show. We had the luck of having the room from which they had taken the advertisement photo from - literally picture perfect views. I'm not generally a sucker for views but it was nice. Kitchen and living area were immaculate and very nice (check out the pictures!), plus air con throughout. This place is perfect for a weekend getaway where you really want to enjoy spending your time where you are staying and not feel like you need to go out. I paid $762 in peak season for 3 nights and a pamper package, which included bubbly (actually nice, too), Lindt chocolate box, massage oil, exfoliator scrub and a loofa. While it wasn't the cheapest option I have absolutely no regret in what I paid, and feel it was justified. The places are kept really clean, and I spied someone cleaning the lifts, too. My partner and I plan on coming back.
