We were in dire need of siding and new windows for the second floor of our house. We got quotes from (3) siding contractors and decided on Nu-Concepts. We are absolute thrilled with our decision! Nu-Concepts proposal was not the lowest but Steve did a great job of explaining the work that needed to be done and brought along an artist's rendition of what our house would look like. We talked about using "hardy board" instead of regular siding. It is a superior product and Steve did a great job of explaining the positive reasons to use it. Steve walked us through the schedule and gave us a list of homes he had worked on. After we ran through the reference list and drove by many of the properties we were sold on Nu-Concepts and the hardy board siding. The Crew - Marco and Max were the lead men. Both are exceptional workers who care about their craft and did fantastic work. I can't say enough about the entire crew because they are responsible for the final product. After every work day the crew cleaned up after themselves before leaving and were very clean and respectful of our home and our neighbors. Nu-Concepts did a full exterior renovation to my home this summer. Windows, siding, trim and gutters. The products they recommended were of the highest quality and the installation was great. The team was very courteous of my furnishings when they had to be inside for the window install. Great attention to detail as I am super picky. Their bid (I received 6) was the most reasonable yet I don't think any other company could have done much better or different. The only reason I did not give a five star is because we ran into some silly delays getting the exterior lights put up and tiny stuff like that. I would hire them again. read more

As a busy, single, working mom, I have my hands full. Steve Wolowitz knew this, respected it, and made sure to plan and create a beautiful outdoor home renovation within my budget. I had a whole exterior renovation completed with all new windows, siding, gutters, doors, and trim. His crew added a copper roof, pergola, and a beautiful bay window making my home warm and welcoming. Steve took great care in making sure the work was affordable while still looking customized as he paid attention to every detail. The workmen were respectful and hard working. Although I would have understood if they canceled, they worked even during the first snowfall without any complaints or delays. We had our house done by Nu Concepts, and I am so very glad we chose them. Steve came out and assessed our house. We were going to go with conventional vertical brown vinyl siding, but he talked us out of that idea. Steve saw things that the others who bid on our project did not. Not one of the other four contractors had any creativity. Yup, lets just slap some siding on and be done with it was their plan. So, Steve had his artist draw a really good rendition of our house done several ways, that way he could propose to us what the project would look like. He is the only one who did this. I have to give him credit for his creativity. We ended up with Hardy Board siding, with shake shingles at the top, horizontal on most of the house, and board and batten in the entryway. His quote was literally thousands less then the others. His two man crew did a beyond awesome job on the install. The fit and finish from top to bottom is beyond flawless. And I am one extremely picky SOB! So, a big thank you to Nu Concepts, to Steve and his crew, Mario and company for transforming our home to a stellar showcase! read more

We were looking for a contractor to perform a whole house exterior renovation (windows, siding, soffits, fascia, gutters). After completing the project with Nu-Concept, we highly recommend Nu-Concept for your exterior renovation. They were great from start to finish. Choosing a contractor is not an easy (and very stressful) task. There are so many options with uncertainty on quality and cost. Do I go with the cheapest? Do I go with the company that has the most reviews? After receiving quotes from four different contractors, I selected Nu-Concept based on their presentation/design ideas, their reputation and their mile long reference list. In addition, their quote was reasonable given the amount of work that they were doing (I received quotes that were all over the place including a quote that was almost double). I also felt like they were not trying to oversell me (like others were doing). After doing an interior renovation, where we made every little decision, with Ken and Nu-Concept, we chose the color (with help from Ken) and they took care of the rest. No decisions to be made on every little detail. Ken assured me that they are experienced, have done work in the area and understand how to make the house look good. Once the design phase was done, it was time for the actual work. They showed up promptly (maybe even a little early) and quickly worked inside to install the windows in our house. After a few hours, I was pleased and happy to know that I hired a company that has true professionals doing the work. John and his crew were fantastic. I was amazed by how efficiently the crew worked. Everyday there was 5-6 people working from 8 am - 5 pm (our interior contractor could learn something from them). While they worked efficiently, I never thought that they were rushing. I was home for many of the days that they were there and witnessed them working meticulously to ensure that everything was done right. I think the reason they were able to complete on time, is not because they were rushed, but because they had 5-6 experienced guys that are true professionals and good at their craft. You could tell that they work together a lot and their teamwork would be envied in any company. Another nice thing was that there were no surprises. What we were quoted is what we paid. But while all these things are important, the most important is the end result. The house looks fantastic. They took a house that was stuck in the 70s and brought it back to life. We already had several neighbors stop by in passing to let us know how good the house looks and how surprised they were by the transformation. We are very happy with the work and would highly recommend Nu-Concept. There is a reason that their reference list is a mile long. read more

Actually they did a very nice job with siding and window installation, problem is that the life time warranty is as good as toilet paper. Windows now leak and the bottom rubber seals are disintegrating. I called them and was told that the window company that made the windows for them are out of business, go figure. So there is nothing they can do. read more

In 2015, we called Nu Concepts to bid on the replacement of 22 windows in a home we recently purchased. Steve, the owner, came out and met with us. We expressed to Steve that our primary goal in replacing our windows was to reduce exterior noise, mainly road noise from a busy intersection near our home. We were clear with our desire to keep the noise out. Steve recommended Climate Solutions Windows. We were promised that these windows would dramatically reduce road noise coming into our home. We pulled the trigger and had 22 new windows installed. After our windows were installed, it took no time at all to realize that the Climate Solutions Windows we purchased did nothing more than the original windows to stop exterior noise. After installation, I complained to Steve about the noise coming into my home through the windows. I pushed, and pushed, and Steve came back twice to listen to the noise. At my insistence, Steve educated himself, just as I have, on glass for noise reduction. He has offered a solution- replace our existing glass with sound reducing laminated glass. We will be responsible for the cost of both the new glass and the factory installation of the glass. The cost is approximately half the price we paid Nu Concepts initially for the windows and installation. We should have been presented this option initially. I would have paid the extra money for the upgraded sound reducing glass. Steve has owned and operated Nu Concepts for over 30 years. His list of clients is long, and the pictures of his work are impressive, but he clearly never had to deal with a client who needed to reduce road noise. I have done hours of research since purchasing these windows. I learned that large window manufacturers (i.e. Marvin, Anderson, Jeldwen) test their windows for sound transmission. They provide STC and OITC ratings to quantify sound transmission. We expected that a reputable window replacement company, such as Nu Concepts, would have listened to our concern about road noise and taken the time to educate us about laminated glass and sound transmission, before making such a large sale, but that did not happen. After this experience, I would not recommend Nu Concepts or Climate Solutions Windows. read more

They are competitive with their pricing, timely with their installation and their crew was extremely neat and respectful of our home/property during the installation. Any questions we have had on our windows (even 1 year or more after they were installed) were dealt with immediately. We were looking for a new Portico and Front Door for our home... We called out a few companies and none of them were very interested in pricing out a Portico but were willing to sell us a new door. We were hoping to find a company that could do it all... A friend of mine suggested I call Ken at Nu-Concepts.. We called and he was out almost 24 hours.. He supplied many pictures of Portico's and doors they have installed. A few were even a few blocks away from our home.. After the meeting Ken sent us a very detailed quote a day or two later.. The prices were in our budget so we decided to move forward.. Everything went very smooth and we love our new entryway.. Ken took care of all permits and arranging our installation.. He showed up 10 minutes before his crew arrived which was great because it gave him the opportunity to go over the job with his crew. The job was finished in a day and a half. I have been unhappy with Nu-Concepts work for 3 out of the past 4 years since they re-sided my home. Initially I thought they had done nice work. It took a year to discover how shoddy it actually was and the subsequent water damage that has occurred as a result. My initial complaint can be viewed on the Better Business Bureau website. Unless Nu-Concepts has vastly improved on the quality of work that they provide, I highly recommend any other siding company other than Nu-Concepts. read more
