We made a spontaneous trip to this beautiful farm and were satisfied with the decision spending a Sunday afternoon there. The staff was nice and knowledge enough to respond our curiosity. Learning different types of apples at once and having fun with the sheep closely, while enjoying the late autumn foliage. Entrance fees was packed and fair. We have only been here for breakfast so I have never seen a waitress as another reviewer mentioned and it has always been pretty mellow and quiet. It is kind of a typical coffee shop with photos, a tv and simple decor. They do have outlets at every booth! YAY! The coffee is the best part. They have so many latte options. I have had both the milky way and the peppermint patty both have been great! The food is ok. Nothing fancy and by 10 am they are usually out of most every kind of bagel which is a little disappointing. My husband likes the breakfast wraps. It has a fireplace and books. It has free wifi and seems like a cool spot to do some work or study. They do have sandwiches, beer and wine at night so we will have to check it out. read more

I like this place. The menu appeals to my taste. Great fruit smoothie selection, great salads that are not of the run-of-the mill variety. And yes of course they have sandwiches, wraps and other good food. I like that they try to have a policy where if you are going to hunker down all day in there and use their wifi, to not hog their booths. It is a great space. Please support this business by buying great food every couple of hours while you do your work there. This place has really good fruit bowls and smoothies! My only problem I had was with the manager who wouldn't let my friend and I enter because we brought our leftovers from another restaurant into the cafe. The leftovers were in a small box and we simply wanted to enjoy their smoothies. She told us to leave. I feel that there could have been a better way to handle the situation as in reserving seats for customers only instead of simply saying we weren't allowed inside. read more

I never really write reviews but had the BEST experience ever at Nu Kitchen a couple days ago. I just had to! I was helped by a black lady with blue hair who gave me just about the best restaurant experience. At least for a cheaper place like this. I have a nut allergy and am sensitive to soy and dairy and she knew the menu really well and also looked up ingredients in dressings for me. She made me feel like my patronage really matters and was friendly and knowledgeable and spent about 5 minutes on my order, no rushing me like other places. On top of that the food was fantastic and I was so glad to have options given my diet. I ordered an acai bowl and a chipotle bowl but with lemon vinaigrette. Would recommend both! Thank you. I literally can't get enough of NU. I think I could go here for breakfast lunch and dinner. I go here for breakfast and get a latte- hot or iced depending on what mood I'm in. I go here after the gym and get a protein shake. I go here for lunch and get a sandwich, or a salad, or both, or a soup- whatever I feel like. I go here for dinner and get a glass of wine with my girlfriends with a meat and cheese platter. I go here for late night chocolate smoothie cravings. I'm going to take the opportunity now to say how much I heavily miss the old tatanuck bookseller that was once here. Like crazy. It is some consolation that NU Cafe is a very good replacement for the food and beverages they once served at the tiny cafe. Now it's much more open, inviting and BUSY. All the damn time. More so when the students occupy Worcester- like all damn day and night. It's a good sign though. - a busy place typically has the best grub. So many meatless/ dairy free options I can't even list them so naturally this is a perfect place to have lunch with my vegan and vegan friendly friends. Don't worry omnivores- each of those is the meatless version of the meat versions they already have ! (Ex. Brisket panini or jackfruit brisket style panini) the smoothies are the real deal as are any of the juice blends - very plentiful and filling with really fresh fruit and ice, not frozen. They'll cost ya - a large is $9 and I can plow through those in 5 mins. Yes natural and organic foods just have the heftier price tag but believe me it's worth at least a try. Good coffee not great but good enough. They have the impossible burger! The only complaint I think i have is bay they need more seating !! read more

I love coming here. They have some vegan choices and they now have a great vegan or vegetarian burger (your choice) available. There is plenty of outside seating at their patio. I just happenned upon NU Cafe by chance for Paint Nite - but I got there early enough to see what it's all about. First, there is a walk up counter for tea and drinks - and they even serve wine which is nice.. especially when using the free wi-fi to catch up on work emails. The food is surprisingly good. We started with the Thai lettuce rolls, which were fresh, and with just enough spice. For my meal, I had the Grilled chicken, pesto, sliced tomatoes, and melted mozzarella grilled on flatbread. It was a panini, with some greens on the side, and very good. The service is a bit confusing - once you want to get food, you get a waitress, but most of the people around you will be having just coffee that they get at the counter. There's also a water station, which is nice to serve yourself from. All in all, great pre-Paint Nite meal. And, they kept the wine coming during the painting, which was much appreciated, to help me find my inner Picasso. read more

My favorite place for lunch (my favorite place for dinner is Armsby Abbey). It's not your average coffee and sandwich joint. The place is comfortable, clean, calm and spacious. You couldn't tell how good the food and juices are by the low-key setup. I realized how much they work on the quality of their produce until I tried this green smoothie Mean and Green. It does not compromise flavor for healthiness, nor does it compromise its paleo-ness for taste. I love the Porto-pesto chorizo sandwich and Eggs and avocado sandwich. I work right near by and have stopped in a few times. I love the old mill feel to the inside, and they display work from a local photographer on the walls. Seating is plentiful and comfortable. I had a grilled cheese and tuscan tomato soup my first time there, and neither were what I was I expecting, but both were delicious! The "grilled cheese" is really a cheese panini, and the tomato soup wasn't creamy and bisque-like, but a vegetable soup with a tomato-y broth base. All the bagels are tasty, and the coffee is awesome. I've heard wonderful things about the smoothies, but haven't had one yet. Staff are really efficient and friendly. Been 2 years since I first started going to NU cafe. The place was great to start with and it keeps getting better! Foods are always super fresh and staffs are always friendly. WiFi is complimentary and the temperature inside is always perfect. My only complain for the place is that the ordering process can be slow sometimes. Foods and drinks always come out well made and fast after order gets in though. Both my boyfriend and I ordered the veggie burger, apprehensive about it because I am SO picky when it comes to veggie burgers as they are usually dry and tasteless. Great place with a hipster vibe. I ordered a hot coffee with a salmon sandwich and sweet potato fries. The drink was made quickly and I waited for about 15min for my food which is about average wait time. However when I got my food I noticed they forgot my sweet potato fries and had to wait an additional couple of minutes. The food was pretty good a solid 4/5. This is my favorite juice place. I have so many favorites on the menu. I would highly recommend the vita-C, avocado toast, sweet potato panini, Caribbean sunset, and chipotle avocado lime bowl. They help with allergen information. Good music and good vibe! Would recommend. Really liked the atmosphere here. Very comfortable and a nice change from Starbucks (the only other decent option for coffee shops in the area that have WiFi and lots of space). It is a great place to study when you need a break from the library environment and is generally pretty quiet. The staff was very friendly and the menu was more extensive than I expected. I just got a muffin and a chai tea which were both pretty good. I would say overall, the strong point of NU is its atmosphere though. Definitely will be coming back in the future. read more

Now there is complete chaos with the waitress' and their lack of experience and knowledge of coffee, sandwiches, food, everything. Even though I lived in Worcester for my entire life, this is my first time in 20 years of my existence that I went to this place even though it had open for a while now. The staff is great, the atmosphere is cozy, and the interior of the place is amazing! Even the customers there seems to enjoy the place. NU kitchen gives me life. They are one of my go to's when I need something quick and healthy or when I want to get some work done in a laid back atmosphere. There's greenery and wood accents everywhere along with ample plugs for your electronics. The staff is super friendly and able to customize your order any way you want. I haven't gotten a bad thing to eat here, my go to is the Spanish Scramble, as they serve breakfast all day. Oh and the music they play = jams. read more

Absolutely delicious food I came to nu cafe with my husband and kids and there was something for everyone. We each got something different so we could have variety the sweet potato and goat cheese panini is absolutely incredible the veggie burger also delicious. The Oahu acai bowl was my first time trying anything of the sort and it was out of this world. The environment is very relaxed and peaceful. A lot of college kids but they weren't bothersome.
