This is a new restaurant in Dungarvan, Ireland, a charming seaside town on the Southeast Coast…read more This restaurant was recommended by the owner of the B&B where we stayed. We had been to the Tannery (also in Dungarvan) the night before, rated as one of, if not THE best restaurant in Ireland (a reservation we had for months) and we were sorely disappointed. The Lazy Lamb however was a welcome surprise. Irish with Mediterranean flavor, the roast lamb special was lovely - perfectly seasoned, juicy and beautifully served. The fish was fresh, vegetables were crisp and not overcooked, and the desserts were delicious works of art. Even the service was perfect - not overly solicitous. I live in a suburb of NYC and have been to some of it's best restaurants. Save yourself some money and disappointment and skip the Tannery. Go here instead.
