It is located on Regent Street in London. It is close to Underground Stations on near enough every line, being just a short walk away from Oxford Circus, Piccadilly Circus and step-free Green Park. Despite being larger, the store follows traditional Superdry decor, a slightly dark and cool vibe but it has unique twists to warrant the flagship location including large writing with the brand name going across the escalators and multiple floors. The store layout was pretty straightforward, but do be careful of "steps" which might separate different parts of the shop floor. The Lower Ground floor wasn't too welcoming from the lift, I felt like the lift had dropped me off at an abandoned building, it was quiet with no people or signs, it felt quite scary until I went along to find the toilet and a passage lit up by the other part of the store, so this could do with some work to implement the same vibrance the store has across all areas. The staff could have been all friendly and for a store of its' size, there doesn't seem to be enough lifts which is a shame. Slightly higher pricing in some areas is also worth noting. A cool, large Superdry store, albeit not without its' faults but this flagship Regent Street, London branch does warrant a three-star rating.

I was anything but disappointed! Robert P. was my salesperson and stylist. He was simply wonderful. Helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating with a great eye for what fits what and how and why as well as what goes with what and why. The clothes themselves are incredible. Granted, Varvatos isn't for everyone. It's edgy and progressive but, being a more advanced and elegant vision of the genre, lacks that raw and untamed element that other rock & roll inspired designers have. These are highly sophisticated items and very refined - and some highly editorial - looks. Made with perfection from exquisite fabrics and the lightest of leathers - the goat leather and the cashmere collections are among my favorites! All in all, I wish I had another day to explore the rest of this store and more luggage room to take it all home! (Though, the offer was made to do it for free back to my home in Tampa, FL.) After receiving a $200 gift card that they would not honor, I called their US Customer service number. The US customer service telephone lines ring and then disconnect - continuously. I called their UK customer service number that had an automated "your call is important to us" that kept me on hold for over 40 minutes before connecting to a person (the international phone call alone cost $210). The UK customer service guy checked it all out, confirmed the card, acknowledged the issue, and said they would reissue it in US dollars and email it within the week. No gift card was received. Instead, an email asking for CONFIRMATION of full name, address and zip code. (Image attached) Responded to them - no response. Emailed them again (after the first $200 phone charge I wasn't going to call again) - put in a "que" per automated response saying they were very busy and warning that it I sent another email it would put me on the end of the line and start the process all over again.(see attached) Endless loop - with no results whatsoever.

The upside of their stock, besides the accessibility of their prices, is the up-to-the-minute, bang-on-trend styling. The downsides are often the finish, the attention to detail (hardly surprising) and the way that sizes can vary greatly from one garment to another (even in the same style). Also, be aware that when they do produce a really 'hot' style you'll have to move fast or they'll fly-off the shelves before you can reach them.

The renovation simplified the internals giving a more contemporary look. The owners are really building most of the internals by themselves like the wooden shelves on the walls or the till desk. Quite remarkably I must say. There are more dressing rooms, one for the gents and two for the ladies. The menswear selection includes an organic brand called Knowledge Cotton, which clothes are gorgeous when you touch them; a local designer called Eastie Empire Tailors that produces a line of clothing taking inspiration from the old days; Superga shoes and other brands. They have an interesting selection of man caps too from a London designer called Dasmarca. The womenswear selection includes several brands like Stefanel, HunkyDory, Selected Femme, Patrizia Pepe, Jucca, Hartford and etc.. A well mixed selection of different brands that gives you the impression that everything belongs to one designer. Congratulations to the buyer. The staff is always friendly and open to have a chat explaining you the brands and why they selected them. There is no rush or push, you can try on and come back when you want, these guys are really adding a service for free for you. This is what you would call a real local shop and a real local shop service. Buy local!
