Very good attention to detail on terms of service, presentation, and food quality. Started with a cured ham with fresh fig. I'm a big fan of this pairing. The ham was thinly sliced and velvety... melt in your mouth - fantastic. I also had the lobster linguini with tomato sauce. The sauce had a nice sweetness to it without being too acidic. The meal started with complementary prosecco and finished with a chocolate fondue which included biscotti, candied nuts and fresh fruit including what I believe were cumquats. I thought the value was very good. The bill with gratuity was 99 euros. In terms of value, as long as you are not within walking distance of the Cathedral the prices are more reasonable than Chicago, LA, Miami - Ft. Lauderdale. This was a great dining experience. One of the better meals I've had in Milan.

This made for a good buffer from the sidewalk, where folks were walking past with dogs or were smoking. It had a "greenhouse" feel to it. The staff were excellent. The surprise chocolate fondu at the end was wonderful! Only four stars because the menu was a bit limited.

From the moment we walked in, the restaurant made a strong impression. The interior was beautifully decorated, with many framed vintage photos on the walls that gave the place a warm and classic feeling. At the entrance, there was a display of dry-aged steaks, which immediately showed the restaurant's focus on high-quality meat. We started our meal with a fresh salad and a selection of dry cuts. The salad was crisp and very fresh, and the dry cuts were flavorful and nicely presented. It was a great way to begin the dinner. For the main course, I ordered a medium-rare entrecôte. It was cooked perfectly--tender, juicy, and full of flavor. You could really taste the quality of the meat. To drink, we had a Tuscan red wine, which paired wonderfully with the steak and made the meal even more enjoyable. The service was also excellent. The waiters were dressed very formally, which added to the elegant atmosphere of the restaurant. They were clearly experienced, very professional, and always ready to help with recommendations or questions. Overall, our dinner was memorable. Great food, excellent wine, a stylish interior, and professional service made it a wonderful evening for my family and me. I would happily return again.

I could not have asked for a better meal. I went with the tasting menu...the assorted cold cuts, Rissoto Isola Della Scala (Veal & Pork with cinnamon), the stuffed rabbit, and a fig and chocolate mousse with a 12yr Demerara Rum for desert. Oh My God!! The flavors!! Totally unexpected and nothing short of amazing!! If you've somehow found this review, it means you've gone off the beaten track...Trattoria della Abele is not easy to find. Do yourself the favor and go the rest of way...make the leap of faith...and get in here for one of the best Italian meals you'll get in Milan!!!

I got to Milan starving and I wanted to eat somewhere close and local since I was staying at one of…read morethe neighbourhood slightly outside of city centre and I found this one. The place is small... No frills but just outside the restaurant there were tons of stickers showing their accolades for the food they serve so that was a good sign. Another good sign is the long waiting list of folks trying get a table for dinner after 9.45 pm on a Sunday night. The menu isn't long and they had a tasting menu so I opted for that. You can choose either meat or seafood with the tasting menu and you get three courses plus dessert for just €28! The first course I chose was this hake dish marinated in vinegar with carrots and onions. It was ok not amazing... If you're squirmish and don't want to eat small fish with their head on this is not the dish for you lol. The next dish is a cuttlefish and artichoke risotto. This place is known for its risotto and boy it was amazing. Never knew risotto was suppose to be cooked where each grain has a bite and not mushy.the delicate flavour of the cuttlefish and artichoke worked so well and the dish was perfectly seasoned. The dish was creamy and I found myself scraping for the last pieces of risotto on the dish! I want more! Lol. The third dish I got was grilled octopus. The dish seemed like it straight up came from the sea with the long tentacle of the octopus. The octopus was tender and have the taste of the sea... Went really well with the sun dried tomatoes. I was amazed of the beautiful colour and the texture... So tender. If you like seafood this will quench your thirst for it. It also went well with the prosecco I ordered. If you're not into seafood, stir clear from this because it is straight up a seafood type of dish... and it'll taste like meat marinated in sea water. For dessert since it was my first night back in Italy I hard to give homage to the tiramisu. The tiramisu was light and fluffy... Not too sweet... Not too much coffee flavour, perfectly balanced. As much as I enjoyed it, being the fourth dish ... I was stuffed! It's a good reminder for me when I make tiramisu that it shouldn't be too sweet and delicate and flavoured lightly by coffee. The staff were really nice and attended me well, they are pretty on point and have a great system working. I'd recommend making reservations if you can cause this place get busy! Overall the experience was good and the wait was worth it for this restaurant. Good value for the money and gave me a good experience on how it is like eating like a local in Milan.
