It is important to keep in mind that not everyone's experiences exemplify the all-around experience, and not every teacher is the same. The teachers in the classroom make a world of difference to the experience of the family entrusting them. With that said, we have been exceedingly fortunate to have had our nearly 2 year-old under the care of Ms. Ann, Ms. Kenisha, and Ms. Susan here. They have all shown what appears to be an honest interest and care for our child. They provide daily care sheets that let us know what he/she ate (of huge importance to me), how they engaged him/her 'academically' (at the toddler age, this would be like singing a certain song, learning about a certain color, working on please/thank you, etc.), diaper changes, naps, and communication to the parents if diapers or wipes are running low. It is an efficient system for communicating those things you are hoping your child is doing/eating/learning. We have popped in without notice on several occasions to really do our own form of 'random inspection,' if you will - really we wanted to verify that at random points midday that our child was being attended to as necessary, playing well, eating well, napping well, etc. So far each visit has been great and we have never experienced any issues with any of the staff that has cared for our child. The management has been wonderful as well. Ms. Stacey does a wonderful job of remembering you and your child's name, and any issues or questions with tuition, payments, general care questions that I have sent them via email have been responded to very promptly. You can research the facility/franchise online and see the technology available to the students. There's a great play town that the older kids get to take advantage of (our toddler is still too young at this point), there are two separate outdoor play areas complete with toys, slides, and ample room as well as seating and shade. They do apply sunblock to the kids, which is a nice touch. We have also been told that as our child gets older and moves up to the next class, they will work on potty training as well. We have seen our child's vocabulary and social skills absolutely BLOSSOM since we have started with this TLE. As I said, we have been so lucky to have the great teachers our child has right now. As our child grows and switches to another class, that story may or may not change, but I will update my review as necessary. For now, I am happy to report that we are extremely satisfied with the care, attention, and developmental/educational lessons that these caring teachers have provided for our child.

With three days left before I was supposed to start back at work, I count myself so lucky that they happened to have one spot open in the infant room! Ms. Regina in Infant Room B is a wonderful caregiver. She is always calm and steady, always positive and warm. Her classroom is peaceful, and the kiddos in there seem very content. I was worried that our daughter, who struggled with bottle feeding, would go hungry at daycare. Ms. Regina was willing to work with her and now our kiddo is happily taking five bottles a day. What's even more amazing is that, after I told Ms. Regina I was really struggling with missing my daughter while at work, she started writing extra notes in the daily report. In addition to knowing when my baby napped/ate/was changed, I get to read little details like, "She seems to be especially fond of one of the other babies in the room," or, "Today she smiled while her teacher held her up to the window and talked about the arrival of spring." Those little glimpses into her day show me that she's getting attention and love, and they make all the difference to my peace of mind. Overall, everyone at this center seems kind and sincere. While our daughter does spend some time in bouncy chairs (which is unavoidable when one person cares for multiple infants!), I was thrilled to see that she is more often being held or hanging out in a Boppy pillow on the floor while looking happily at the other babies. Ms. Wendi, the director, is very personable and patient with new parent concerns. She also called promptly on the two occasions that my daughter had an "incident" -- throwing up and getting a small scratch. This made me feel very secure that our kid was safe at TLE. Before enrolling, when I looked for reviews of this daycare online, I didn't find that many -- so I'm especially happy to add my opinion and say that I'd definitely recommend TLE to friends and would say it is worth every penny.

Both of my children loved attending KJP and were well prepared for kindergarten. Krystal, the director, has done a fantastic job over the years of growing the school and establishing a great environment for the kids. The teachers and staff are great, and several of them have been there since we first enrolled our kids almost five years ago. Things were a little different for a while during COVID but everything has since returned to normal. Hours are 7:30-5:15. A few years ago they redid the playground in the back and it's really nice. There is a nice courtyard bu the entrance and exit doors that they have improved as well. Since last year there has also been a security guard present for much of the time, though I don't know if this is expected to be permanent. One of the parents also set up a Discord chat group for KJP families; I did not participate but I've heard it's pretty active. If you are looking for a preschool you would be well served to check out KJP. Your kids will be in excellent hands there!

At Emerson, students are not only seen as learners, but also as whole people who have thoughts, ambitions, and capacities beyond memorizing formulas. In elementary school I learned through stories and to this day I am able to remember the content of the lessons- the math activities that helped me learn all my times tables forwards and backwards, the stories I wrote in cursive, the doll I knit in second grade. In middle school, I wasn't taking tests to measure my knowledge, but instead I was writing stories and drawing depictions based on the lessons of Ancient Egypt, Geography, History, etc. Thanks to Emerson I can write college level essays (I got A's on all of my first semester college papers), I play the cello, I sell crocheted hats and knitted socks, I love sports thanks to my years on the volleyball team, I honestly love math, and I have still kept the friendships from my years at Emerson. Local Facebook groups and community resources are great for getting the full story. I will present some facts about this school are substantiated with evidence: * There have been multiple complaints filed with the NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Should the facility have been licensed, these reports would be publicly accessible. * The facility has a history of removing active members from the primary communication application when concerns are raised. * There is a documented pattern of staff turnover, with several members leaving their positions during the academic year. * The owner has sued multiple families for withdrawing their children. Potential families and teachers please consider this advice before making your choice: * Ensure the child care facility is licensed for additional oversight, transparency, and protections. Four-hour programs typically don't require licensing, but experiences with places like Wildflower highlight the importance of having such regulations. * Seek a month-to-month contract for flexibility to leave if it is not a fit for your kids. * Review the contract and make sure it includes published class size and teacher-to-child ratios.

I find the increasing prevalence of neglect, dismissive and passive aggressive emotional outtakes are inappropriate and unprofessional. The behavior seems to be initiated by the inconsistent level of care that is being provided as it pertains to inappropriate diapering and lack of re-clothing of my child in an environment prone to constant germ hazards and cool air during the winter months. The level of the neglect has caused a frequent diaper rash and constant viral infections that have resulted in emergency room visits with my child. Upon trying to initiate results driven communications with her providers and the director I have been unable to receive the information that I have requested that would determine the validity of the claims of inappropriate cleanliness and diapering neglect. The facility and claimed higher authorities have been unable to materialize any documentation or video footage upon my request, and in fact neglected to complete an investigation but instead decided to "disenroll" my child as a result of the hearsay and contradictory lies from the campus director. Her classroom teachers were unskilled and emotionally reactive,one in which quit after being questioned about diapering issues. I received an email from an Amy Boyette, a person whom I have never met, alerting me that the cause of my child dismissal is due to hostile behavior and a myriad of other claims of inappropriate behavior in which are completely false,slandering the character of myself and my child's father simply because we are concerned parents. It is also evident that this email was not situational or applicable to the events in question pertaining to my daughter, but instead copied from a previous email that was sent to a different parent claiming events that did not happen with my family. When calling to speak with Ms. Boyette about these discrepancies she had stated that she has no knowledge of my case or issues I was experiencing within the daycare and that no child should have to experience this but still chose to exspell my daughter without investigation of my claims. Ms Boyette also verified that she is the director of another offsite facility who had be contacted to assist in acquiring the video surveillance contradicting that she had no knowledge of the claims in which I am asserting. This place seems to be more about cover-up instead of the true welfare of all children. BEWARE!!!!!

We had a fantastic experience with my son from 2015-2017, but had multiple health, dietary, hygiene, and communication issues with my daughter since the new age 2+ building opened in summer 2017. With the move, there were a number of unannounced changes (e.g., child:teacher ratio increases, less outdoor time, centralized lesson planning). The culture and new rules also seemed more focused on image and profit than on what's best for kids, teachers, and families. Efforts to form a parent advisory group were rebuffed, and there seems to be ongoing tension between the teachers and administrators. Some teachers are excellent, but there are big differences in the experience and practices of the teaching teams from room to room. I'd say it's now comparable to other large chains in the area.
