I've been coming here for about 2.5 years, and my experience has consistently been great. My usual lash tech is Emma, but I've been serviced by several of the other ladies when my schedule didn't line up, and honestly everyone does excellent work. I prefer a natural look and typically come in every 2-3 weeks. Even my ophthalmologist recently complimented the quality of the application, mentioning that she sees many patients with retinal scratches and eye infections caused by poorly applied lash extensions...so that really says a lot about the skill level here. The location is super convenient in Times Square, directly across from the subway station, which makes appointments easy to fit into a busy day. They also offer other services like lash lifts and tints (which I haven't personally tried yet), but I've seen the results on other customers and they look great. Emma also does waxing and does an incredible job, though I can't get it done as often as I'd like due to my retinol use. This was my first time ever getting lash extensions and I already regret it. I normally get lash lifts since my lashes are so short and stiff. I told the lash tech that I want the most natural looking lash set, nothing dramatic at all. The lashes look very dramatic. She told me that they will look more natural once a few falls out. Like ok so what's the point of paying $100 plus tip just for them to fall out. Also they stingy throughout the entire time. A couple of days later my eyes are bloodshot red. Hands down the best* eyelash extension place I have ever been to! I had an appointment for 2:30pm but since I was in the area, I walked over around 1:20pm and was able to start my session around 1:45pm right after my best friend ended hers. When I walked in, Emma, the owner & consultant gave me an extended detailed overview of the many different options that they offered. Never have I ever had anyone educate me on the different types of lashes there are, methods of application, types of curls, length of curls and go into details about the different types of styles. With so much information, I couldn't decide which combination to go with but ultimately went with the natural style, fabulous fill, 11mm length, .2 thickness (for the mascara effect), C curls just because my natural lashes are relatively long. Mink lashes are used so that the finished look is more natural. If you go to a regular technician who uses the wrong type of glue your natural lashes can actually fall out but you don't have to worry about these lashes as they protect your natural ones! Sofia was my technician and man, she put me to sleep with how gentle she was with my lashes! Very nice lady who takes her time to glue on each individual lashes and it was to relaxing and I definitely fell asleep for a couple of minutes. I started at around 1:45pm and ended at 3:15pm so my entire process took about 90 minutes.. you know this is quality work when they take their time! My lashes feel so soft and luscious I can't stop looking at them. They're natural looking and I can't even see the glue remnants that she used so I know she didn't glue them directly on my eyelids like most places. Better yet, I've already gotten so many compliments I can't wait to come back for refills. They are located right on 7th avenue between 41st and 42nd so it's definitely a prime location. Just go up to the 6th floor of their building and you'll be guided by their signs and arrows. Truly a gem of a place! read more

I heard about this place from a friend that Lovelash was in it's soft opening and had a promotional discount. It's close to my apartment so I made an appointment right away since extensions from a previous place were kind of annoying me. I arrived and Emma, the consultant, asked what curl I wanted, the thickness and the overall look. I'm still sort of a newbie to this stuff so I had a lot of questions, but she answered everything with a smile. She also asked if I wanted a blanket and put it over me as I laid down. The technician, Sofia, went straight to work and started removing some of the leftover extensions and then began putting in a full new set. At no point in this entire process did I feel anything poking my eyelids. In fact, I pretty much fell asleep within the first 15-20 minutes. It felt soooo relaxing! An hour later, she was done! I looked in the mirror and I was very excited. The curl and length were great and even on both eyes. Best of all, I didn't even feel like I had extensions. The lashes are mink, soft, and super lightweight! It felt completely like my normal lashes but longer. I'm in love! Emma explained to me that the previous lashes I had were synthetic. I felt the hardness of those versus the ones Sofia had placed on me and I could definitely feel the difference. She also mentioned that some of the old lashes had some excess of glue on there, which I had felt, but I thought that was a normal thing. Now that I know what lash extensions should feel like, I think I might make Lovelash my regular (or like, for when I have fancy things to go to). Not sure how long I can keep up this ABG maintenance haha. Excited to start this New Year's Eve off and 2020 right! Highly recommend anyone to check this place out! NYC Lash Bar may be my new favorite lash place. Emma was great in helping me identify EXACT look that I wanted. She walked me through the different lengths, thicknesses, fullness, type of curls, and style (cut, natural, or sexy) to cultivate the exact look. Through the extensive consultation, she realized that I wanted less of a lash curl and recommended the J curl which I love! After 60 minutes, I had the look I was going for. I did a lash lift with Emma, and the experience was really great. Normally after lash lifts my eyes are a bit pink from irritation, but this time my eyes stayed pearly white! Emma is really gentle, so much so that at times I didn't even realize she was doing things to my eyes. The 5 star rating of this place is well deserved. Eye will definitely be coming back! The location was this place is so convenient, a block away from the 42nd Street station that makes it easy to navigate to from anywhere. Lovelash is located on the 6th floor with signage that directs you right as you get out of the elevator. This place was recommended by my friend for their grand opening. The space was really peaceful and modern with white soft spaces and layout that really gives you a premium experience that is catered for your lashes. I stepped in and was greeted by Emma, the consultant who educates on the level of curl, length, and type of style with the lashes offered. This place really knocked all my previous lash experiences out the window - Sophia, the technician is so detail and her touch is so soft I ended up falling asleep and woke up 15 minutes prior to the end of my appointment. I've gotten my lashes done the past couple months here with Emma, she is absolutely amazing. I have had lash extensions for about 4 years now trying many different places but none have compared to how beautiful my lashes come out when I go to NYC lash bar. Also, the prices are great and they are very gentle with your lashes so no need to worry about losing lashes or damaging them! Summer is amazing! She saved my lashes. I got my lashes done somewhere else a week ago. I had irritation this whole time. I decided to go to this place to fix my lashes. After I lied down Summer immediately pointed out that too much glue on my eyes and my lashes got stick together. She removed all the heavy glues and did a new set for me. I felt relived right away. If I could give this place 0 I would.. nearly a year later and my amateur Microblading on my eyebrows still looks like a child drew it on. Despite having to go get it re done somewhere else where they tried their best to make it look better. First off I don't think the person doing them has ever done Microblading before. Second when I complained to get my money back because they were atrocious, I was told the owner wasn't back for a month and I had to wait... after a couple of hours texting over an back she finally venmoed me back my money.. honestly I'm still so upset with my eyebrows every time I look in the mirror and it's affected my confidence a lot. This is a hard experience to share, and I'm only sharing this because I don't want someone to go through the trauma I went through. Had a traumatizing first time experience here. When I got there, the lash master spent 30 seconds asking me what style lashes I wanted and then rushed into applying lashes. I had a lot of questions but she seemed to breeze straight through and make quick recommendations for what she thought I'd like - didn't take any time to understand what I was looking for. An hour later I open my eyes and the lashes look terrible -- really long and fake and artificial looking when I had said I wanted a natural look. I really hated the look. The other lash master was apologetic and took time to understand what I liked/didn't like and said I could come back the next day to get it fixed. So I come back the next day and she says they're going to remove all the lashes and start fresh. It's frustrating to spend 3+ hours rather than the 1 hour expected on my lashes. But okay, sometimes people make mistakes first time and it takes a while to get on the same page (low bar). Fine, but then while she's (the first lash master) removing my lashes, my eyes are in burning, excruciating pain (from the glue leaking?) and every time I wince or tell her it hurts, she doesn't respond and takes several minutes to react. This was a horrifying experience. One time when my eyes were burning and I told her "it hurt," she even said "it doesn't hurt" which was incredibly invalidating. With something as sensitive and important as my eyes, I was horrified at the experience. I had high hopes for nyc lash bar. I really wanted to give this place a chance and make it my go-to lash place since I live close by and its rated so highly. But it was a horrible experience and I would not come back. [edit] Now that some lashes are falling out I realized that they're falling out with my REAL lashes! She actually attached false lashes to my BABY LASHES. I've never had this happen before with all the lash studios I've been to. They're usually very meticulous and caring about the sensitive baby lashes, making sure not to attach any false lashes to it to give them space to grow. Ugh this was a terrible experience because it's also ruined my real lashes. Never going back. read more
