During our conversation, I explained that I was open to temporarily assisting your office as a dental assistant on a day when coverage was needed. I was transparent that this would require an hour commute on my part, and for that reason, I inquired whether compensation above the advertised rate would be possible. Madison informed me that compensation decisions were not within her control and that the dentists were firm on the stated rate. I understood this response and, as no agreement or confirmation to work was made, I did not proceed further. Subsequently, I received a message from Madison that I felt was unprofessional and unnecessarily discourteous, particularly given that no commitment had been made on either side. Being characterized as unprofessional under these circumstances was unexpected and disappointing. Additionally, I was later removed from the Utah Dental Networking page, which I believe may be related to this interaction. If so, I feel this action was unwarranted and unprofessional. Getting kicked out of this group prevents me from finding any temp jobs in the future. I value respectful and professional communication within the dental community and felt it was important to share my experience. My intention is not to escalate conflict, but to bring awareness to how this interaction was handled. My work ethic and references speak for themselves. I regularly find temps for my office and I would've never of handled it this way.

In reality, this office uses predatory financing tactics to hit sales quotas. They told me my insurance was 'covering half' of a massive bill to pressure me into a corner, billed my insurance a retail rate of $3,772.00, but immediately pushed through a Sunbit loan for about $1,580.00. According to Blue Cross Blue Shield, my legal, in-network patient responsibility is only $793.60. Instead of finding the best savings, the office pre-billed my loan for nearly double what I actually owe to include unscheduled future work. The office manager admitted in writing that the loan included uncompleted treatment, but instead of voiding the contract, the office has ghosted me, tried to hit me with illegal debit card processing fees, and is hiding my financial ledger. If you have a loan through this office, log into your insurance portal right now and compare your true 'Patient Responsibility' to what they are financing you for. Nobody is ever excited to get dental work done, let alone having all four wisdom teeth removed. But…read morethe staff at Utah Surgical Arts, and Dr. Wood specifically, made the experience as painless as possible. We were recommended by our regular dentist, when my son hit the lovely milestone and was ready for the procedure. He had his wisdom teeth out last week and was in and out for the consultation and the procedure in less time than it takes to get an oil change. I never felt rushed, however. The staff took us back to a consultation room where they explained the procedure and gave clear after-care instructions. (We had also received a couple videos via text earlier in the week that went over the same.) They spent plenty of time answering questions and putting us at ease. The recovery and healing has gone even better than we anticipated. No complications, mild pain and discomfort and my son is nearly back to normal a week later. I appreciated that we were given the doctor's direct cell phone number in case there were any issues after hours. Luckily, we never had to use it. But it was nice to know we could if necessary. If you are considering having any work done, I'd strongly recommend Utah Surgical Arts.

So, unable to afford that, I lived with it for another year and a half while it caused me much further suffering and pain. I finally found a qualified dentist who was willing to do the extraction for a mere $40 - at The Denture Company Boise. He was very kind and very fast. Helped me on the very same day I went in. Do yourself a favor and AVOID White Pine Dental at all costs. Their X-rays and referrals cost me MORE than the other dentist who actually DOES the work. The BBB should shut White Pine down.

The foyer smells like a toilet. An assistant shows up... and she's sick. EW. This is beyond disgusting. I was a patient here when it used to be Woodbury Family Dental & stayed because well... I don't know? Cleanings were always fine, but I am so grossed out by the lack of hygiene. If you're working on my mouth, I don't know about other people, but I expect it to be (and smell!) clean. A sick office assistant and at least one sick patient? This isn't a GP office! Do better. The Dr. is no where in sight. I will not be staying. I cannot recommend this practice for anyone with standards. The smell, the sick people, the lateness is gross and utterly unacceptable.

i made an appt because medicare covered my procedure. i wanted a new nightguard. he made mine with…read morea 3d printer. from the time i got it until i cancelled the last appt., it never fit right. every adjustment he did just made things worse. I saw my new dentist.... ( my old dentist retired) he explained a few things to me about using 3 d printers and taking pictures instead of using a mold which makes impressions. my dentist told me to chuck it. as a result of the hopkins nightguard, i had to see an oral surgeon. two of my teeth front bottom were severely damaged and had to be pulled. I have to have implants and bone graft. My teeth were fine until i placed his  nightguard in my mouth. from the first time i used his nightguard, my bottom two teeth hurt. He told me they would be fine. the nightguard he made was too tight and never fit right. I went through countless adjustments. I wish i had never gone to him. I had many nightguards made for my mouth, and never once did i have these kinds of problems. It was pointed out to me, why would an oral surgeon be making nightguards. From my first encounter with Hopkin, he examined my old nightguard and said it was worn out and i needed a new one. Well, he was wrong. It wasnt worn out. And since chucking the awful one he made me, i am back using the one he said was worn out. My new dentist even said it was still good.  His office insurance person called medicare to check out my insurance. she came back and said that medicare would cover my nightguard. She said i had real good insurance.  All I can say now, is read the reviews. When someone writes a negative review ask yourself why they would spend the time if what they were saying hadnt happened.
