I was very unsatisfied with my one visit and felt like it was a complete waste of my time and money. On top of that Nystom because of their disorganization and their horrible communication between departments is charging me $193.20 for two missed appointments that I thought I had cancelled. I feel screwed over by the billing department, and it's impossible to speak with anyone capable of changing anything. I was interested in the DBT group here because it was the only one I could find that fit into my hectic work schedule, but it required meeting once a week with the group and once a week with a therapist for a year, which would not work for me. I called and spoke to someone at the office to ask if it was possible to meet with therapist every other week instead- that person informed me it would be no problem at all. So I signed up to meet with a therapist for the the required meetings before I could join the DBT group. My therapist was not informed of my scheduling request- and upon hearing it doubted it's possibility. I told her that if it wasn't possible I was absolutely not interested in the DBT group or continuing therapy with her. She told me she would look into it and call me back. When she called me back she told me that management said it was not possible to reduce the therapy visits to once every other week instead of once a week. I could absolutely not make that work. I cancelled my next visit and assumed that my other visits had been cancelled with it. I did receive voicemail from Nystrom saying that I had an appointment- but thought it must have been a mix-up and didn't have the time to check in about it. Almost a month later I got a bill for $94 for a missed appointment. I called and spoke to someone at billing to figure out why I was getting charged when I had cancelled my appointment. They passed the case onto management and said I would get a call about it later. I never got a call back. And just today I got another bill from them with two missed appointment charges. I called billing again and the person read the notes- they had decided to take one charge off and that was all. I asked to speak to management and the guy told me I could only leave a message and that it didn't matter what I said I was going to have to pay that one charge. The second charge must have came up after I had allready called billing about the FIRST missed appointment charge. I can't believe that they AT THE LEAST didn't at least tell me I still had one appointment scheduled- and was about to get one more missed appointment charge when we we're on the phone then. What horrible customer service. I feel taken advantage of by the billing department. read more
