Geocenter Møns Klint - A great walk

It is a solid 1,5 hour drive from Copenhagen and can be easily two hours if you don't know the way or you go slightly slow. The drive is nice and you pass a very nice bridge, almost by the end of the trip. There is a parking space when you arrive and I would recommend you having water with you when you start the hiking. There are more than one ways to go down but we took the stairs closest to the museum. Going down is easy but the walk at the beach and the hike up is a bit tougher. The rocky beach can be hard to walk on with slippers as the rocks move with every step you take and you can't be steady enough. My friend and I managed but I would suggest bringing your sneakers. When we reached the beach we walked to the next stairs which were around 2 km away. Going up is hard for your lungs but you can take breaks in between at the built up benches. The beach is not so pleasant to swim as you need to manage to get through all those rocks. However close to the second stairs there was a gap which made it easier to get through. I loved the views from up better than the experience walking at the rocky beach. It is just amazing! We didn't go into the museum but it is about the history of Denmarks birth and the fossils found in the cliff. If the day is good there is also a beach very close (maybe 15 mins drive) in a very cute little town called Klintholm Havn.

A lovely museum with all the interactive exhibits. I would say a great place for kids and those…read morewith inner child in them. The museum is not big, but it's sufficient enough to explain you about the fossils that were found in the cliff, where they came from and how the cliffs were made and all the little bits of pieces of geology lesson. It's all very interesting to learn. Do go up to the dinosaur tower, it's much fun. It tells the story of how a flock of scientists found the first dinosaur (complete) bones in Greenland, and there's also a bit of TV interactive in the last room. All in all a great fun place to be.

Beautiful museum and it's free too. The collection and exhibits are quite amazingly mesmerizing…read moreand it taken from varies period in time. There is a beautiful garden in the middle of the beautiful, heavily peaceful and relaxing. Plenty of exhibits to see and leans and it's not a small museum either, it big inside so a lot of walking for sure so wear comfortable shoe when visit. Staff are everywhere and they are friendly and helpful when needed. There is a locker room on the lower level and quite big too. Just try to go light or empty handed to avoid checkin and time.

Sad experience, as we had only scanned our tickets and had to leave without entering. We arrived…read morewith our entrance tickets only to be told I could not bring in the seat cushion I have to use anytime I'll be sitting (due to a medical condition). We actually stopped by just for the beautiful cafe to enjoy an afternoon coffee. I was told I would have to leave it in the lobby to enter, which obviously wouldn't work for me for such an occasion. I was not aware of this rule, and the gentleman who'd scanned our passes clearly didn't wish to converse about its purpose...just a no period. After leaving I saw on their website about large bags not being allowed (the cushion isn't large, just a flat square) and that they'll decide which will be allowed inside. While I understand the need for this type of rule, I wish I'd been allowed to explain. My husband told him we were only visiting the cafe, and I tried to show him the cushion and wanted to explain, but was dismissed before I had the opportunity. Most places I've been to seem to accommodate for certain things like this, but unfortunately not here. A shame, I very much wanted to visit.

As far as places to take kids to explore, every city has some variant of a kid's fun center…read more Sometimes, it's wrapped as purely as entertainment, which I'm not opposed, but as a parent, I would like just a little more. Others are wrapped as Science Centers, which as you expect, I'm more keen on. On our travels to Copenhagen, we had a day of free time, and with a kiddo, and snow coming down outside, our destination was... the Experimentarium. As a place that is designed for young minds, and to make learning entertaining, it's does it exactly that. There is a wonderful spiral staircase that takes you up to the various levels of exploration. Highlights include an interactive theater, where you get to move around in a story. Another is an oversized ball conveyer, which when you take your time to play with, gives you an opportunity to really delve into what it takes to move cargo around the world. Neat. On another floor, there is a wonderful food section, which talks about food, how it's made, farms, waste, and how we can do better. For the kiddos, there is a section that includes a bunch of activities with cameras that takes photos across the tasks, so you can bring the fun home. There are plenty of things for them to touch and play with across the entire center, including a Lego section, which makes sense, since Lego was founded in Denmark, and still headquartered. Worth it? Yup. Go again? Yup. Recommend? Yes.

A museum definitely worth visiting if you're in Copenhagen. It's perfect for all ages, lots to do…read moreand see, it's very interactive. You can bring outside food and drinks but you just can't drink it near the play areas. There is a cafe that serves burgers, fries, hot dogs and pastries. The seating area is big. The prices tend to be a bit more but I think that's just the usual with museums. My family and I had a great time, we spent about 4 hours here.
