They have since apologised after several communications including being flanneled but it's left a lasting bad taste and broken my loyalty. If you are faced with a rip off charge for tap water tell them to sod off and leave as there's lots of other equally good providers. I'm starting to like the Costa coffee brand especially their flat white coffees and their deals include discount food and the free drinks are comparable in spend to Starbucks. This place is within an in town shopping centre with the usual suspects and a few independents. There's a Tesco and a BurgerKing.

The deal allowed a range of scones with butter in foil, cream and jam in mini plastic pot. What it didn't allow was to opt for a cappuccino or latte - americano only. It was an ok deal with darn good coffee and good but not great scones. Irish butter and cream are fabulous, the scones were good portioned but the jam was the cheaper stuff. I had walked through the diner with a view to a main meal and got the impression that it was almost school canteen style with the food kept in Bain Marie trays and it put me off a bit. It was a queue and pay system. I ordered, paid and brought our food to the table. We sat at a table outside the cafe in the centre concourse and a minute walk from M&S and it was a pleasant way to while away an hour or at least au whiled away an hour while my wife did some more shopping.
