On top of everything else, the service here was phenomenal. I came a little early to dinner just…read morebecause I was in the area around 5:30. They were willing to see me. When I got in, the owner was the one personally greeting everybody at the door. He pulled out my chair, took my coat, and gave me a complementary shot of Ginja. and I thought it was fantastic service. I had only wish that I knew more Portuguese because he did not understand English.
Just to clarify, the waiters though understand English and I had no problem as an English tourist. They were attentive, and they checked up every couple minutes.
I ordered the Seabass and the shrimp appetizer. The shrimp starting us off was so good. It was marinated in a garlic butter sauce and they just executed it so well. I finished that in less than three minutes. The Seabass also was also fantastic. It was a really good cut of Fish and when in Portugal, definitely get the seafood. It was bounced really well with the potatoes and vegetables. Overall simple get flavorful and one of the best authentic Portuguese locations.
The port wine was also good. If you haven't tried Port wine in Portugal yet, you can get it here. Otherwise that one was more of an add-on. Portwine though was sweet so just keep that in mind with what you want to pair your food with.
Interior was nice with a wooden finish and white walls. They had tiles also halfway up, fitting Portugal's history of tile and ceramics.
The place also is pretty easy to find, it's right next to Rossario and you just take one side street.
