Not too many Auto Parts stores around this part of Irvine. So this is the best location. Prices are great but the service is spotty, sometimes good, sometimes poor. It's not that the staff is unfriendly, they just talk "down" to customers like the customers are totally clueless. (This is my experience 4 separate times, so it's not just 1-time.). The selection of both parts and tools is very good and you should be able to find both to service your vehicle. With that said, I will return since it's the only game in town (within close proximity/10 mile radius). Recommendation: Up to you, judge for yourself once you've been there. went here for a battery check as my car needed two jumps in the last few days. was worried it might be an alternator and i knew some car parts stores would conduct a test for free. anthony from the irvine store was extremely helpful and diagnosed a bad battery. good news as an alternator is way more expensive and would take longer to fix. in less than 15 minutes anthony replaced the battery with a smile and even cleaned up the battery terminals. he wouldn't even take a tip when i tried to tip him. highly recommended. read more

I needed oil and the woman behind the counter explained why prices were different for 5quart bottles. Then Kesse came out and helped me hold my engine lid open, the shocks are worn out. We couldn't get the oil cap off so he went back inside and Got another gentleman who was able to remove it. Jesse stayed and kept checking oil level for me. I offered $ but he refused. He was very quick, pleasant, and offered to replace both, which makes sense. He gave me some good advice on where to get a dash light checked that could be the airbag or seatbelt. Came here to get new wiper blades and went with my original RainX blades and the guys behind the counter were super helpful, even offered to install them for me. I politely declined and went on my way. Fast forward a few weeks and my wipers weren't holding up. They seemed to be just smearing the water on my windshield and it was getting a little annoying. I even cleaned my wipers, in case they were extra dirty and that was causing the smear. So, I called and Marc answered. I told him what was going on and he was able to pull up my receipt and told me to come right in to get it resolved. Ended up exchanging my tried and true RainX for a pair of Bosch blades. Marc made the whole process super easy. Installed them, and in the rain, on my drive home, I could tell these were 100% better - no smearing. Went in the morning on October 6, 2025 to buy a fuel stabilizer. I told the guy working there if he could tell me where it was. He said I should buy an injection cleaner. I kept telling him I needed something I could use in my car for long term storage and that was the fuel stabilizer. The guy did not know what a fuel stabilizer was. He kept pushing the injection cleaner. I came to realize after I bought what he said that it was the wrong product. So, I went to Autozone and purchased what I needed. read more

I went in to get a rear brake light. Sylvania 7506. Very common light bulb. The one on display was tampered with. It's was obvious because the bulb doesn't look new because it was a bit dark. The package was stapled back together. The girl at the counter said that's how it comes and would not get me a new one from the back. I know they have new ones in stock in the back because I just got a pair the night before. The person before was understanding and was not lazy. This girl should not be working at a place that requires customer support. Very bad experience. This girl has some problems helping me with a simple request. What a great place! An employee was cleaning the floor, which was impressive enough, but then he took time from his labor to give me a friendly greeting when I walked into the store. I quickly found the items I needed, and both products were made in the USA. Check out was quick and efficient. Two Words: Friendly Service I have been here a few times, mostly for small items having to do with minor auto maintenance. I can't really speak to pricing because I haven't made any major purchases. But the items I've purchased have all seemed to be reasonably priced. However, the selection is excellent and the service is outstanding. Every time I've come in I've had multiple employees ask me if I needed help with anything as I've entered the store and when they've notice me in the aisle looking. And they've always been patient and knowledgeable in answering all my questions. I am impressed with the training they've received, and always enjoy shopping at a business where the employees make an effort to be helpful, rather than looking like they want to run the other way when they see you approaching them with a question. I went to O'Reilly Auto Parts store to buy some DEF fluid on Saturday and while at the check out counter I asked a vexing question about my Leaf Blower. I use it on occasion to blow the tennis court free of debris and rain. It started giving me a ton of trouble when I tried to get it started. It's a two cycle ICE and worked like a charm every time until I tried to start the last couple times. Now it took hundreds of pulling the starter cords and pumping the fuel into the cylinder and going through through the three steps multiple times without any luck. It would just sputter and die on me. I made a mistake of flooding or guessed that much of fuel may have gummed the fuel line. Not expecting much of an answer I described my situation and the guy at the counter suggested that it is most likely a faulty spark plug. I was leaning towards buying an expensive fuel stabilizer for ten bucks, but his suggestion sounded better. I never even suspected it. He gave me his card and wrote his name and asked to get the name and model of the spark plug. I did and got me a $3.25 Champion Spark Plug and VOILA, first turn it started immediately and thick white fume exhaust gas started spewing and cleared as all of the stagnant fuel came out through the drenched cylinder. He saved me lots of headache and money. He really went out of his way to help me and that's rare these days. I strongly recommend this establishment. Thanks Jose! read more

Marc approached me and took the time to explain the differences between the different oils, helping me choose the best one for my vehicle. I had an urgent need to replace the battery on my car since I hadn't been back to Irvine for a month or 2. Kudos to Lance who asked me to stop by since I asked if they offered battery services which was technically a no but the provided top notch service and knowledge transfer. I bought the 199 premium battery (yes it's more than the other quotes I've received) but I decided to stop by since none of the others offered doing battery transfer either. I asked if I could change the battery myself after I bought it and Lance provided all the tools I needed. Different sockets and ratchet which all fit perfectly. My terminals were stuck hard to the old battery and I was ready to buy a new part but Lance sprayed it with battery cleaner and let it soak. He then provided the elbow grease and pliers to pluck off the terminal socket instead of having me buy a new part. Loved the service here and I can see why they're busy. I see them helping multiple customers and I'm very pleased with the results! Will be back for other auto parts needs in the future!! read more

Stopped by this shop to pick up some Oil and Brake fluid in my classic car. The guys were very knowledgeable and helpful in their recommendations. When I went to leave my old car wouldn't start! Lance (the manager?), and his team were so gracious in allowing me to borrow some tools so that I could get the old car running again and get it home. Came in to check my battery, and it was weak/leaking battery acid. Bought a new one and they helped me replace it for free. I've been to autozone, and they do something similar, however they won't change it for you. They'll just let you use their tools and have you just figure it out for yourself. read more
