O'Reilly is by far the most helpful auto parts store I have ever experienced. I come here in every so often as needed. Wiper blades, fuses, oil, etc. Last weekend I ran in here with a photo of the exact diesel oil my son uses on his truck to grab an extra quart. The moment I walked in Elih looked at the photo and he and another gentleman checked everywhere, gave me full attention and were apologetic when they only had it in a gallon size. Customer service is terrible, I can't tell you how many times I've walked into this location and I believe it's the manager that has helped me numerous times ONLY at checkout and of course makes me feel like "I'm just a dumb girl what do I know" has never greeted me when walking in nor asks if i need help finding something (which he absolutely doesn't have to but would be nice rather than wasting my time walking around... I hate to ask bc then he talks to me like I'm stupid) I've also been sent to the Pacheco store for items Martinez didn't have in stock... leave the store and head to Pacheco to find out they don't have it either... purchased the parts elsewhere and for cheaper. I have no complaints towards any other employees, he also talks down to them in front of customers. I just had the most amazing experience with Charles, the assistant manager at the O'Reilly's in Martinez. I went to buy windshield wipers as I didn't want to keep spending the dealer prices and Charles was an amazing help and immediately took care of me. Personally, I have only had pleasant experiences with the staff here. They have always answered my questions to the best of their ability. When they couldn't give me an answer the staff would help send me in the right direction. If you are a DIY'r and need auto parts, this is the place for you, especially if you are in a pinch and need a drain plug gasket! It's right around the corner. read more

This place is hit or miss. It really depends on who you get and what day you come in. So I came in on two different days during the week and the first time I came in because my check engine light came on and I was concerned because my car is not very old. I heard that this place does free diagnostic check checks so I went in. The guy behind the counter was looking extremely bored and even more bored helping me. He was borderline rude when I asked him whether or not had anything to do with air filters. I remind you I don't know anything about cars so as simple I don't think so ma'am, but this might be the issue, but no, he just kept repeating that it wasn't the air filter and they gave me the print out. His customer service, which is not very friendly then we fast forward to a couple of days later when I need to go in for windshield wipers, and the guy that was behind the counter on this day really went above and beyond, and his colleagues helped me put the wipers on in about less than five minutes. Went to ATM next to this store and saw a guy getting his windshield wipers replaced. I need that too. I went in and they looked up the sizes I need on their computer. I picked a brand and price range. The guy got them off the shelves and installed them with the correct clip. I am super lazy so if this is you, it's perfect. Charles needs the be fired, that might not be his name but I'm definitely talking about the manager. Huge guy with the beard. Nothing but rude, I've even been told by friends that he's disrespectful. Accusing people of things with absolutely no proof, lying, some of the other workers are good, they're helpful, but now when I go in there and see Charles (or aka the manager) I walk away and wait for him to leave so someone else helps me. That guy needs to either move locations (like a different state) or fired. Couldn't have picked a worse manager to manage. Fix the attitude big guy, or I will! read more

Bought a brand new battery on the 21st, the guy said dont install it, i didnt, checked the size on the bike, it was the wrong size. Brought it back, the guy tested the battery and said it wasnt charged, and they always charge them, so he would not return it. I just got the bike and trying to get it running, huge waste of time. I didnt even take off the tab on top, the battery is dated from last month. Dont ever buy a battery from oreilly. Apparently they come dead and wont help you after the sale. read more

Hit or miss. Just went to drop off oil only. They took paying customers before me, 2 in there before me and 2 after. Took 20 minutes. I guess it's expected. Lots of parking. No specialized waste bins front of the store that I've seen at other locations. read more

I've got a super mixed review. I came in to see about special ordering some parts, the gentleman that helped me was fast and wonderful at answering any questions I had (since I was trying to order parts for my husband not me). Well after we looked up the part I got a text saying it would take too long so I asked to cancel it ( all within 3 minutes of looking up the part). The gentleman was super helpful said no problem and asked the manager how to get the shipping off the order. The manager spoke to him like he was a jail inmate, extremely rude and disrespectful, while basically 2 feet away from me wouldn't directly speak the answer to me but is giving his employee the rudest answer and making him in such an uncomfortable spot. The employee was so kind and came back asking if I heard what the manager said which obviously I had, and I had no problem paying the shipping still. But someone take that manager to a HR training course if I was that employee I would have quit on the spot. Hope they can find some better leaders. read more
