Their Karai ramen is a lifesaver for me. I have a high spice tolerance and am very happy to report that this ramen is spicy by International standards, not just spicy for Argentinians. That being said, be sure you REALLY like spicy food before ordering this one because it is Fire. My girlfriend loves with Kikanbo ramen as well, its all super flavorful and the Piggy Style Dumplings make for a solid appetizer as well. The restaurant is cute and fun, the food quality is incredibly consistent (I don't think I've had a bad meal here), and they are handling COVID really well. I was worried that the meals wouldn't be good delivered, but they have a great system ensuring everything stays fresh and tastes the same at home as it does in the restaurant. Open since the 50s and passed down from generation to generation, this restaurant serves classic Japanese cuisine in a city where this type of food is scarce. We started off the meal with a complimentary raw fish with onion dish and a shot of plum wine. I was able to try the following dishes: -- salmon sashimi and sushi roll: the salmon pieces here were DELICIOUS! I highly recommend getting raw fish. The pieces were thick and fresh. -- agedashi tofu: flavors were good but I wish they used a silkier tofu -- kimchi: apparently Ichisou gets a lot of Korean customers as well, the kimchi is very good and just the right amount of spice and crunch -- vegetable and shrimp tempura: great! Could be crispier -- ebifurai (fried prawn): I liked this better than the shrimp tempura but I thought this could also be more crispy -- chicken karaage (fried chicken): this was the only item I did not like. They came as strange chicken lollipops and were rather dry -- chawansumi (steamed egg): yum! Wish I ordered more of this. -- matcha ice cream: I do not recommend this. The matcha tasted strange, it might be because the richness of Argentinian milk overpowers the delicate matcha flavor. -- chocolate cake: I do recommend this, delicious! I thought most everything I had was really good. I wanted to try more sashimi but Ichisou only had salmon during my visit. The restaurant is small and sports a modest front but the food is amazing. They have ramen, sushi, teppanyaki and bento box style lunches. Beer and wine are available. I had a mixed salad which was huge and a good mix of crisp, fresh vegetables. I also had the braised tofu which was perfectly done with a load of sautéed vegetables and a delicious brown sauce on it. The service was attentive and friendly, though knowing enough Spanish to communicate with the wait staff would be most advantageous. We were able to get by with our limited phrases. Overall, a fabulous lunch.
