We ordered the clams - pretty sure it's cooked with wine, butter, garlic, cilantro & garlic and they give you a nice sized lemon wedge to squeeze all over it. SO GOOD. Back to the fish - that first bite blew my mind. It was so fresh, so perfectly salted, so smokey, so melt in your mouth. Whole boiled potatoes come to the table and a simple mixed salad with romaine, tomatoes, beets, come purple cabbage, cucumber. We used the olive oil and vinegar on the table, salt & pepper on the boiled potatoes and man was it tasty....so simple perfect. At the end of the meal, they brought us tiny terracotta cups that they fill with pomegranate & cinnamon schnapps that is such a lovely finish alongside some espresso that we ordered. We are honestly thinking about returning to Nazaré just to have this meal again before we leave Portugal. We can't stop thinking about it.
