I didn't have a huge budget when I purchased my condo and found out that renovating my bathroom would cost anywhere between $10k-$15k. Yelp to the rescue! Initially I booked to have them reglaze the bathtub and the tub walls. When they arrived promptly and inspected everything, they gave their honest evaluation and let me know that a reglaze was unnecessary and that it could be refinished. This saved me some money! The work took the whole day with the glaze drying overnight. We were able to use the bath again within a few days just to make sure everything cured. My wife and I are very happy with the results! Why is there no six star option! These guys rock! They polished my ugly Kohler tubs with the anti-slip texture that is impossible to clean and polished my bathroom tiles. Very good service! And the results ... a sparkling white tub that almost looks brand new! The level of care and attention to detail was excellent. Every effort was made to avoid getting any of the sanding on my vanity counter or floors, though the shower handle and walls still have a slight gritty feel. I guess it's hard to avoid the dust rising. Only downside for anyone sensitive to odors is the epoxy has a strong chemical smell. Once the tub was reglazed, the wait was 24-48 hours for it to "cure." I waited 72 hours. The bathroom windows and door were closed to avoid dust contamination and help keep the smell in the bathroom. By the fourth day, the smell was very faint. Aftercare is probably more important ... The instructions include wiping down the tub after every bath or shower with a chamois or soft cloth and never placing any bottles or items on the surround. Perhaps the hardest "rule" is not using any hair color!!! If you have any dripping faucet or shower head, be sure to get it fixed before you spend the money on a reglaze. My shower rod had a bit of rust which dripped two penny size drops on the tub bottom much to my chagrin. Mister Clean didn't quite get rid of the ring around each drop (which I noticed only the next day!) but it's less noticeable. Price wise, the cost for my tub came in under $500. Totally well worth it and much easier than replacing the entire tub. Highly recommend! read more

I had my 2 bathtubs refinished last August. Each was done by a different technician. One was much better than the other. In fact one tech did such a rush job he botched the caulking and had to come back to patch it up. Needless to say less than a year later the patched caulking was peeling and mildewing. I contacted Kalani to see if he could help me. I was very pleased that he responded quickly and sent someone over to fix it the next day for no charge. I like to support small independent businesses like this and really appreciate when they stand by their work. The refinishing on both tubs is great. No complaints at all. My 2 bathtubs desperately needed repair. After reading so many Yelp reviews for tub reglazing, I called Oahu Tub Experts. Jeff answered the phone and requested photos of my tubs so he could see what needed to be done. Within a day, he emailed me a comprehensive detailed estimate and said that appointments are normally scheduled 2 weeks out but would try squeeze me in since I was in a rush. To my happy surprise, he scheduled me for very next week. He emailed me the contract and always followed by text to confirm that all correspondence was received. I truly appreciated that professionalism because I was very nervous about committing to this huge project. My tubs were absolutely disgusting. Several years ago, I had my tubs reglazed by a company that had inexperienced workers. Within weeks, the new glaze started peeling off and rust spots appeared. Over the years, the tubs got even worse and I thought I might have to completely replace them. Oahu Tub "converted" our jacuzzi tub! to a non jacuzzi tub! Our Jacuzzi tub ports were discolored and the constant cleaning got us to decide to covert it to a soaking tub. The projected cost to remove the jacuzzi tub and replace it would be tremendous. PLUS, we have fancy stone work around the tub. This, we decided to give Oahu Tub a try. They were very patient with my numerous questions. They were even patient with my curiosity along the process (I gave body shop experience thus a bit curious with the procedure).
