Best dry cleaner in town--always on time, and my suits are pressed to perfection every time. Always happy to pick up my freshly, cleaned, pressed clothes. Rude and unprofessional. First time in. Walked in and waited at the counter while they had their backs to me looking at their cell phones. I waited politely for about a minute before ringing the bell. Then the guy tells me it will be 8 days before my shirts would be ready. Way to make a first impression. I took multiple suits here to get cleaned. When I went to put on one of the suits, I noticed that the pants were not fitting correctly, as all my suits have been tailored. Upon closer inspection, I realized that the pants and suit jacket did not match. They gave me my suit jacket with someone elses pants. The brands match, but the material for the suit and pants are two completely different materials. I would like the correct pants to be given back or the entire suit to be replaced as this is a 500.00 suit. read more

NEVER EVER use this dry cleaner!!! They wrote my name on the inside of over 12 shirts that I sent to them with a pen. There are no warnings or indications that they will deface your property by writing on it. If I wanted my custom shirts to have a monogram I would have ordered them that way. To add further insult to injury, they didn't even spell my last name correctly. I also took in a few of my roommates shirts and they wrote my incorrectly spelled last name on his shirts as well. Great service, friendly staff. If you're in a rush, they'll get it done for you. Clothes always come back impeccably cleaned, and if you have special instructions for a garment, it'll actually be cleaned that way. Thank you, Oak Brook Cleaners, for saving my procrastinating butt. I had been putting in a lot of hours at work in the weeks leading up to my best friend's wedding, so I had zero time to get my bridesmaid dress altered. It was Monday the week of the wedding, so I gave these guys a call and told them I needed a bridesmaid dress altered and asked how long it takes. The guy said about a week or two, but then asked when I needed it by. I told him I needed it Friday and he said to bring it in and he'll take a look. So I hauled on over, tried on the dress, and the guy was putting pins and stuff to see how much needed to be taken off. It was a thin dress, so I figured it wouldn't be too hard, but apparently it had a lot of layers which makes things more difficult. Again, he asked when I needed it and I said by Friday, if possible. He said he could do it! I was so relieved, but also nervous, as I did not specify that I actually needed it early afternoon, since I had to drive up to Milwaukee for the wedding. However, come Friday around noon, I dropped by, fingers crossed, and voila! It was ready! I was so incredibly thankful they were able to do it on such short notice and it looked great. I don't have a lot of needs for a dry cleaner or alterations but next time I do, I'm coming back here. read more

This is a really good dry cleaners. I had my wedding dress and veil steamed from them and the customer service was fantastic. They are very friendly and accommodating. They were super speedy and did a wonderful job on my dress and veil. The service exceeded my expectations, and the job was done at a reasonable price. I went back and I was wearing a very dingy white Bears hat. It was no longer white, and wasn't the most pleasant smelling hat. The guy behind the counter said he could clean it up, so I left it there. Even though the label said dry clean only, he said he could wash it and make it new. I figured I might as well. The hat came back bright white. I don't htink it was this white when I first bought it. Needless to say I was amazed. It was well worth the price. read more

I became a customer of OakBrook Cleaners a few months ago and could not be happier with then. I had stopped using dry cleaners until absolutely necessary because my clothes were either over pressed or never the same. I have taken many items here and have experienced great service and my clothes look great! The fact that they are GREEN is fabulous AND you can tell the difference in your fabrics. I called this dry cleaner and asked about having a rug dry cleaned. I was told that it would be $20-30. This seemed like a great price. My husband took the rug in and verified the price when he dropped it off. The rug came in 2 weeks later and the price was $68! Apparently whoever they send the rugs to had been charging them more in the last couple weeks. Because of the price change, he reduced the price to $58. Still almost double what I was quoted. This seems very unfair and not a good business practice. I could have taken it to a dry cleaner closer to my home for $50 but went out of my way because I believed they would clean the rug for the price I was quoted. The guy was kind enough to carry my rug to my car but other then that, quite disappointing. read more
