The decision to join Christ the King was almost immediate and the reception from the congregation was full of love and welcome. We loved the attention and friendship from the Clergy and the congregation, we also loved the emphasis they place on Bible Study and prayer. We look forward to Sunday worship and Bible Study as well as the Bible-inspired classes they offer after the Wednesday evening dinners (which are fantastic as well). The church has a welcoming atmosphere, volunteers on Sunday who assist and answer any questions and a small coffee bar in the lobby. The music is upbeat contemporary Christian selected to praise God and has enough volume to allow anyone to sing with joy. The message each Sunday are Bible-based, clear and will teach and inspire anyone regardless of the maturity of their walk. The church is pentecostal in practice, believing that the gifts of the Spirit are for today. The children's ministry is great! Founded in November 2024, the church continues to grow weekly. Folks, if you haven't visited this church, I strongly encourage you to do so. When I walked in, everyone was so welcoming. I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit just inside the doors. It quickly became evident that this place IS indeed a Holy Ghost and Fire church for sure. The teaching is scripturally TRUE and ACCURATE. I have been following the teachings online since I visited a year ago. I have found no evidence of false doctrine whatsoever. God's hand is on these leaders and this congregation. The night I attended, God used Pastor Jacinta to deliver a prophetic message to me. He gave it to her in the morning and told her she would know me when she saw me that evening. He had likewise told me He had a message for me that night. The devil tried to keep me away, but I had committed to God that I would go and stood by my Word. I really didn't expect God to speak through anyone to me that night. I convinced myself that was all in my head ... wishful thinking. He is The Creator of the Universe ... He isn't going to stop what He's doing to speak to me. Right? WRONG!! If you share that misconception, get it out of your thoughts right now. That's a lie from the enemy who is the father of lies. He doesn't want us to have a close and intimate relationship with the Heavenly Father. That's the only way he can keep us from our blessing. But, I digress. Less preaching ... more testimony. Right? Anyway, during the service I could feel the Glory Cloud enter the room. We were worshipping and praising God ... He responds to that. His presence overwhelmed me. Pastor Jacinta approached me during the service and delivered the message God had for me. God, through Pastor Jacinta, answered things I had been questioning and praying about. Things she had no knowledge of .. we didn't know each other at all. I went up to the altar near the end of the service and was again overcome by the presence of God. I had walked in the door that evening in so much pain that I could hardly walk, sit or even stand. I had suffered a broken back a few years ago and have cement between L4/L5 vertebrae. I was constantly in pain and daily tasks were almost impossible. That night at the altar, God touched me. I fell under the power of the Holy Spirit. When I was ready to get up I thought, "Oh my, I can even get up out of a seated position. How am I going to get off of the floor?" Two words, folks.... BUT GOD ... God healed my back (even the crack that started forming in my cervical spine). I got up off of that floor like my back was stronger than it ever was. The enemy tried to bring on the pain a few times since. But I kept pleading the Blood of Jesus and reminding the devil that God already healed me ... even long before I stepped into Destiny Church of Ocala. I just had to receive it so it could manifest. So, if you want honest, Bible-based teaching and an atmosphere of Heaven where the presence of the Holy Spirit abounds, visit this church. God has great things in store for you, too.

I was looking for help and the people in this ministry told me the truth about myself when I didn't want to hear it. I am now a recovered alchoholic/drug addict and have Jesus in my forever. I will never forget my experience at this church and the people I met here. I think we had a lot of good, fun times while trying to get sober. I think of Mrs. Carolyn as my mom and paster hawk I as a good paster who really cares

I punch in yelp.com and come up with sushi restaurants. So my review is this, I understand freedom of speech and would die for it, but when it comes to treatment centers and church I think with should have a little more information available with reviews other than Randy does not like us. Actually Randy has threatened several people here and we are pretty sure slashed tires on two church vehicles. He left here so he could drink and as far as we know that is what he is doing. A lot of people leave this program as they do with every treatment program and all of them blame every body but themselves. The nature of the game! My problem is that I dont see why a business that specializes in restaurant reviews is helping practicing drunks and drug addicts run down a place that has helped the the less fortunate in this community for 20 years. At least give us a place for rebuttal after every post.

Church of the Advent is a very welcoming and inclusive church…read more It is one of two churches I have worshiped at here in Ocala, the other being Queen of Peace. Clearly they are very different in their religious traditions. Queen of Peace is Roman Catholic, while Church of the Advent follows the Anglican tradition. During the English Reformation, when Elizabeth I succeeded Mary as Queen, she stated we are both Catholic and Protestian. This is the so called middle way of the Elizabethan Settlement, or "Via Media". Church of the Advent has elements of both, which you can see during their service or Mass. What I appreciate most was the genuine warmth I felt during The Peace and the invitation to stay for their Coffee Hour. On the most recent Sunday I was here, they had both the Cubs and Boys Scouts preparing and serving food. Nice! I have taken several pictures of their sanctuary. They also use the back of the church for their parish gatherings and have a very large Choir. Peace!

Fr Pat is an old time Irish priest who offers a strong, no nonsense interpretation of the gospel message. As you can see from the pictures, this is a Cathedral size church that is as large as any I've been in within the US, with the exception of the National Cathedral in Washington DC, or St John the Divine in NY. They have several services during the week, including a Chapel Mass at 8:30 each day and one at Noon Tuesday through Friday. Confessions are heard on Saturday @ 2:00 to 3:30 PM Sunday Mass is at 7:30, 9:30, and 11:30 AM and one on Saturday at 4 pm.
